Oh for a team full of Terry Hurlocks, Majid Bougherras Terry Butchers, Graham Roberts. Every one of those men knew what it meant to play for the jersey. Gave their all, some gave blood to play for this team.

This bunch of importers are more concerned with how their hair looks. Summer clear out required and time to bring in some hard men who can make us a solid unit again.

Goram, Brown, Ian Ferguson, Barry Ferguson, Stuart McCall, Ally McCoist, Richard Gough. We need men in that mould.

If ever there was a season of false hope, this is it.

Was it just that they "knew what it meant to play for the jersey", or did they have great ability? Bougherra is the best Rangers CB I have seen in my lifetime and was easily Champions League level. I'm certain the club do attempt to sign players of this ability level, but what are the odds of finding another one? Someone else mentioned Goram - he was considered to be the best keeper on Earth.

The days of having players with that ability in Scottish football are long gone.

Serious question guys, does Tav actually think him running all over the pitch to take a throw in is showing us he's a captain? I think it actually works against us. Player nearest the ball should grab it and take it ASAP, as Big Ange showed that other mob how it's done.

RohlWithCheese, Davie Weir was better than Bougherra surely?
Unsure how old you are, mate, but we had Moore & Amoruso a few years earlier and they were warriors as well, the pair of them.

Laudrup, you actually believe Tav does all this off his own back and its just acceptable to all that coaching staff.

I have to say it, Storm was right a few weeks ago when he said he could see shades of Clement's first season.

Unfortunately, Storm's concerns have come home to roost big time.

Clement had been a successful manager in Belgium, 3 titles at two different clubs, and I understand Rohl has been a good assistant at Munich and the national team.

I hate to say it. I see further similarities, both seem decent guys, cultured, refined, etc.

However, neither has the steel or grit to deal with the pressure of the very difficult job of getting wins in the unique league that is the SPL.

Both are too respectful of opponents on and off the park, while the majority of their opponents despise Rangers to the core.

Both show they are totally rattled when things are going badly, and end up talking nonsense in press conferences trying to reference small periods of games that went well, when overall the performance was a shambles. Then they both constantly hark back to the odd good performances weeks and weeks ago.

In Rohl's case it is constantly referencing beating Hearts 4 -2 at Ibrox.

imo, Storm was spot on weeks ago, although I thought at the time he was too pessimistic.

I now feel Rohl's reign is heading the same way as Clement's. Both decent human beings but in the wrong job.

Berti, you seriously saying Rohl tells Tav to go over other side of pitch and leave us short just to throw a ball 5 yards.

10 May 2026 22:45:43
RB takes the throws on the right, LB takes the throws on the left. Not just at Rangers either.

10 May 2026 22:57:01
Rohl's post match interviews are pathetic. The guy talks in utter riddles.

10 May 2026 23:33:45
Geesa, someone needs to tell Tav that as he thinks it's his baw.

In my opinion Bougherra was a better CB than David Weir.
