OK troops could this be a thing let's say. Could we potentially buy Moore for let's say 5m from spurs with an agreement in place that they get first option to buy the player back at the same price. Clear yes or no and if it's a no then we can then set our own price.

I know about buy back option but with set price either way surely would suit all parties. Yes we don't make profit or loss but what we do have I'd a good young footballer.

No, he'll go back down the road at the end of his loan and be moved on to another team down south to continue developing.

19 Feb 2026 18:57:32
When you look at the prices being paid down south for youth players who have never even played in the first team, there is no way we could afford what Spurs would want if they decided to sell him. It's a nice thought, but another year's loan would be the best we could get, but Spurs might need him in the Championship next season.

19 Feb 2026 19:44:07
No chance. They could sell Moore to another Premier League team or even a Championship club for £20m+.

19 Feb 2026 19:57:42
They would want 15-20 at least for him; this is a non-starter.
5 million. ?

19 Feb 2026 20:37:13
Don't think that would make sense from a Rangers or Spurs perspective.

19 Feb 2026 21:07:10
Hand him back and buy Congreve. We'd make money on him.

19 Feb 2026 21:16:29
Also like the idea of loaning Morelos to Everton for 6 months, then selling him for £50m. ?

Sorry, Davie, mate. I wish it was that simple, but he'll either play with Spurs in the Championship or he'll be loaned out to a team for development.

He's a cracking player, I hope he has a good career ahead of him.

Moore, you would expect, will become an integral member of Spurs' first-team squad next season.
He is outwith our budget, and we are fortunate to have him at Ibrox this season. Any suitors would have to pay £15m +.

19 Feb 2026 22:23:15
Have said before, he will head back south, & have another loan at say, Brentford or Fulham before going to Spurs' 1st team or be sold for 20m+.
5m would be laughed at down there.

19 Feb 2026 22:40:17
Moore was valued at £20m before he came to us in the summer. I reckon they'd want £20m, a 30% sell-on, and an option to re-sign for, say, £30m.

We can't afford his wages, as his age, compared to our other players of the same age and level, would disrupt the squad and structure we're trying to build.

I think we need to look at how we package transfers in the future. Potentially, if we are looking to sign top talent, maybe we offer a huge sell-on fee of 50-75%.

If the player is successful, we still benefit from it, but not as much as we would have previously.

So, for example, if Tottenham want £20M for Moore (totally hypothetical), we
offer £5M + 75% sell
on.

If we then sell him for £25M after a couple of successful years, then Spurs get their £20M and we get our money back plus another £5M.

I'm not saying that's what's going to happen, but I do think this is something we
should be trying to look at as a way to bring better talent to the club.

Zikos, that is not good business whatsoever.
