That would be assuming we received every single penny for transfers which we most likely haven't.
They said they would make 20 million available, they didn't state it was solely for players.

I think of the £20m they have invested, around £7m net has been spent on transfers - which is dictated by UEFA Cost Control rules.

Cavanagh is saying there is money available in January. I reckon that money will come from the sale of Raskin. Recruitment has been abysmal and the owners would be very stupid to gift Thelwell with any more cash to waste.

I thought someone on the board said the NET spend was £20m. If that is untrue why did they say it or if true it means Rangers either spent more on players than stated or got a lot less in sales than stated.

Net spend is only relevant if your looking at balancing the books not if they have spent wisely. At they end of the day they had around £30m plus to spend from investment and sales and have wasted it appallingly.

I'm coming round to the idea that Rohl will be a good appointment but he needs to get some serious support in getting quality into the team.
I have absolutely zero confidence in Thelwell and I'm terrified of what damage he will do in the winter transfer window.
I can't see us making any changes to that position in the near future so I think it's going to be a long hard season.
Thelwell is likely going to shop in England again in January and we can all see the type of players we are getting.
I really fear for Rohl as Thelwells incompetence is going to have a huge impact on his time with us.

Athole I did enjoy the win and only came on to hear Rangers fans view on the refs decisions and how you thought the game went overall.
That post caught my eye and that is why I replied. No obsession just an observation.
Anyway we have enough problems on our side to focus on which is why I have not posted on here for a bit.

The problem with finances is not how much you spend, it's how you spend it. We have signed an 8m player who is contributing very little to the team, compare this to the likes of braga at hearts.
