Ruud has left Leicester, wonder if that could scupper Coady move?
27 Jun 2025 12:51:02
All we can do is hope EHL.
27 Jun 2025 12:58:27
Fingers crossed.
27 Jun 2025 13:15:36
Hopefully not, going to need someone like that at the club.

I have my doubts on Coady, mainly age and wages. Plus I keep going back to the English market being an expensive place to shop.
However, whenever I seen him play for Wolves he was excellent. Real leader on the park, excellent in both boxes.
He could end up one of the players who come up here and struggle but equally could be a superb signing. At the moment I will trust the new guys judgement over my doubts.

Doubt it the lives too far down the road now. Boy wants the move and we want him it will happen.
27 Jun 2025 13:47:39
The guy is a leader. Amd has offer from EPL. But apparently not good enough for SPFL ?? 32 is not old if he's kept in shape.

I get fans having doubts about Coadys age, pace, height etc but why would there be doubts about his wages? If the club reckon we can afford it why should the fans worry about it? The new owners have said that they are not going to go daft throwing money at the club but if they are talking to Coady then wages can't be an issue to them.

Someone posted he'd signed a 2 year deal ?.
27 Jun 2025 14:07:40
Always a good laugh on here with fans talking about wages and stuff as if any of us actually have a clue what's going on at that level and as if the Rangers decision makers are having a peak at this forum for ideas :)

Coadys age is irrelevant apart from minimising potential sell on - and in some cases we need experience more than profit - also Davie Weir should be a fine example of age not hindering him in our league?we ned some experience and leaders in our club as we have nowt at the moment.
27 Jun 2025 14:40:45
With Coady, for every Weir there is a Senderos and for every Senderos there is a Weir.
27 Jun 2025 15:05:37
Yeah EHL it's one of those that we won't know until he's in the team.
27 Jun 2025 15:39:05
I'm very much in the YES camp for Coady. Perfect in a RM style of play and with a ball winner next to him I reckon he would be a success.
27 Jun 2025 15:50:42
It is the principle in my head. if he comes then for Aaron's and Coady's sakes we better be winning or it won't be long before the complaints start on the following.
: too high wages
: too old and doesn't meet new transfer policy
: he is 34 and his legs have gone. (our 32/ 33YO current captain gets that for slowing down)
: he is injury prone, why did we buy a player who had 100 day out with hamstrings in 23/ 24. (Aarons)
so fans opinions on players on similar wages, at similar age and an injury history is related to the player.
27 Jun 2025 16:00:12
To be fair every time I've seen him play mostly at wolves he's played well, if he's the player that can come in and get the new system going without weeks of disasters at the back then so be it, don't think any of us can be sure if he will be great or poor.

Tommy
Coady being bummed up quite a few. Always like CH who can use ball.
27 Jun 2025 17:12:17
Nice to see your giddy optimism Angus??.
27 Jun 2025 17:59:40
Fork I know but tell me this won't happen as it has every other season. realism I call it. ? just wanting to buy a player who has exactly the same attributes we moan about with those we already have.
27 Jun 2025 19:16:24
Oh there is every chance your right bud?.
