Ok guys I think we should all calm down a bit regarding transfer ins and outs, Remember this is a new regime, none of us know how it's working, they will have a different strategy and I'm positive they will keep things close to their chest, One thing is for sure they want success as it is so important to any future ventures they may decide to take on, and the last thing they want is failure, We resume pre season training on 23rd June, I am sure the right players will be brought in and not what the click bait media are supposedly spurting to us.
17 Jun 2025 08:40:20
Ill ask one question tho is success trophies or profit for business men? i'm not for one second saying they are all about making money off of us. i'm just asking what business men consider success.
17 Jun 2025 08:44:54
Already said trophies Muscat, very clever men that know for a greater success it first starts on the football park.
17 Jun 2025 08:46:11
Muscat, those things aren't mutually exclusive and I'd actually argue the club being profitable is a necessity for long term footballing success.
17 Jun 2025 08:47:34
Buzz are you forgetting that we have a new manager and lots of uncertainty over certain players and in no time we have Euro qualifiers to play so we kind of need to hit the ground running with some signings, we can't really afford to be waiting until next month to be bringing folk in as the success you mention would be qualifying for the champions league.
17 Jun 2025 08:51:47
Muscat they need to get success on the pitch to make money. 2nd place in Scotland makes nothing for them. The Europa makes some more but not much. If we aren't successful then their player trading model doesn't work as well.
so to make profit they need to get to Champions league most seasons and get players exposure so that they get bought for higher prices. better young players then come to us a swell so we make more when we sell them. I don see it as an either or.
17 Jun 2025 08:53:23
Thing is there is a tendency to go overboard for supposed players were linked with, when all along it's a pile of mince n fabrication by msm/ clickbait.
17 Jun 2025 09:18:33
Calm down with rumours of ins and outs on a rumours page about ins and outs, naaa, ramp it up! We've been waiting long enough for the window to open. I want to read all the craziness!
17 Jun 2025 09:21:08
I said at the time that most of our work on transfers for this window was done well in advance - some even being concluded in January.
from what I understand we're still well on track to securing the majority of our targets.
We've also done a lot of work to line up potential replacements for outgoing players.
Speaking of which, now that Gomes move to Marseille has been finalised, we may see Lille step up their interest in Dio.
17 Jun 2025 09:28:46
Things need to speed up a little now ehl we return to preseason in a weeks time and so far we have no one new to do a full preseason with us. Early days yes but a full preseason is always crucial to new players. And with CL qualifying not far away we imo can't afford to have less options than we had last season going in to those games.
17 Jun 2025 10:28:24
If they are all OOC as has been said in the past surely they would be able to be signed until their current contract ends which would be 30 June. squad come back on 23rd and new players integrated from 30th.
17 Jun 2025 10:45:59
If the majority were sorted on January then why no more news like Cameron? I fear with new manager and board many of these deals will have been dropped like the camara deal which was supposed to have been done. Still lots of time tho need to start soon.
17 Jun 2025 10:44:48
Muscatin - how can things speed up anymore when the deals are already in place?
I assume therefore you want the club to be announcing things sooner to appease the fanbase who are a little nervous?
Which takes me back to my point the other day - the new ownership group has no interest in appeasing the fans.
They are laser focussed on getting us ready to be competitive on the pitch.
17 Jun 2025 10:44:49
French league would suit dio perfectly and I'd suspect that he'd be in the move again in 2 years for a bigger fee. Be wise to insert a good sell on in the deal. I'd be asking €15m and 20% on profit.
17 Jun 2025 11:00:51
It's both, they didn't just spend all that money on us for fun or for their love or rangers. They will want their return either through dividends or through a future sale.
To get their best return they need success on the field also however.
17 Jun 2025 12:36:39
Stevie Diomande would stand out in the French league mate, I'd be trying for 30% sell on.
17 Jun 2025 12:38:51
I know you are limited in what you can say EHL but your post tends to suggest that we haven't binned all Koppens targets and in fact we are likely to still sign some of them . Is that the case?
17 Jun 2025 12:59:21
Wsl the process of buying young developing talent balanced with experienced players hasn't changed nor will the basic way we will play; they hired Martin to implement that style. so it would seem sensible to assume they wouldn't just bin all the prospects which were previously identified just as we got rid of the recruitment guy. Only be an issue if Koppen was elsewhere and trying to buy them before us but he isnt.
17 Jun 2025 13:13:27
Wslgers - I think we need to stop thinking of players we are monitoring as NKs targets.
He was responsible for setting up recruitment networks and for building the processes for identifying and monitoring players -which is actioned by vast networks of scouts.
So very few players will have been specifically identified by NK, it's more likely that they've been identified by the processes he's put in place.
Under the new senior team, these processes may be tweaked or adapted, but they're not binning years worth of work to start again.

I understand what your saying Bigbluejim, and it will happen, remember there are no teams training at present, but I agree we need them in the door to see what kind of squad we have, and let them all get to know each other, It will come to fruition over the the next seven days, we just have to wait.
