After a discussion about the merits of big dessers with some mates, some pro, some negative points made, it's quite clear to myself that we have to let him go if a club gives us a decent offer. This is simply because of his contract length, wage and current form and potential interest. With all the talk of the promised trading model, this must also include letting not only young players leave but try and make money back on all players no matter their age.
The big man will always have his fans and doubters and has a good scoring record but again we need to sell when opportunity arises, to me we can never let players ever again let their contracts run down and leave for nothing.
Even if he signed an extension would we make back any cash in future, I don't think so.

Think this summer our last chance to get money for him Shota, his goal tally and performances in Europe will give him a couple of options I would think, to be fair if the right money comes in all three strikers could be away, as long as we get the right players in it might be a good thing.

Shota I don't think a player has ever grown on me as much as big cyril, honestly felt he liked to prove me wrong ? I think you're bang on though the time is now to sell. I think we can get double what we'd get in a years time, especially after an excellent season. He could have a terrible season next year and his value would decrease. Our problem over the years has been holding on to long, we shouldn't let it happen again imo.

It depends on how much money club are willing to spend on him why would we sell dessers for 3/ 4m when to replace his goals we may need to. spend more, for me I'd keep him but look to have him as 2nd choice or rotate with a striker.

We could sell him but we won't get much, there isn't a big demand for a striker lacking in pace and goes down easily.

Reading the newspaper stories from him recently and he seems settled and wants to stay so people might not get their wish. replacing 20+ goals a season isn't that easy (only 6 done it in 25years) so selling him for £3/ 4M isn't good business IMO. Someone who knows the club might have told him what our fanbase can be like and that he is doing well scoring over 20 goals in two consecutive seasons as only the 3rd to do it this century.
BB when I met him in the barbers and he paid for my haircut he said he had a point to prove to you and would do everything he could. ??.

Big CD9,i've always said is a far better striker than some would have you believe and absolutely deserves credit, for his two years and counting at ibrox ?Dessers currently has 47 goals in two season's at Rangers and that's a good record, especially so for a guy who was called a dud and many more terrible slogans under the sun and i would hope we keep him as part of our squad for next season and beyond because he absolutely contributes and has a fantastic attitude who's always available and of course last but not least, big dessers scores goals???I've a lot of time for him ?.

I am pretty sure there is a huge demand for consistent 20+ goals a season strikers. How many of those have we had in the last decade, he is the only one, in a poor side into the bargain.
He is not a world beater but he definitely has value, for us and plenty of others.

Plenty of demand for basically a 1 in 2 striker. Not sure why so many of our fans always look at alleged negatives in our current players, ex managers etc. Like the man said himself, won't know what you've got till it's gone.

The big man as far better than some would have us think. Frustrating at times yes but if we remember lovenkrands he was very much the same as are a lot of strikers and wingers.

Like many i love his attitude but any Rangers striker should be getting this many goals.
