Could someone please answer me this? With all the talk of these young progressive German managers in the running, which I'm all for, what has been happening in Germany, there seems to be quite a few who have appeared the past few years.
Did the German FA reform their coaching, implement reforms or do something else?
What makes me ask this question is the serious lack of decent Scottish managers in the game today. the epl was full of them, we were renowned for having good managers. now we are nowhere, just wondering what is behind this in terms of actually being able to change this downward spiral.

Like Asa said earlier if it is a young progressive german manager/ head coach that's accepted our offer to become our manager surely that would rule out edin terzic, marco rose and roger schmidt ? Asa will have a better Idea than myself as to who most of the young progressive manager's/ head coaches are working in germany and the young sheff wednesday manager danny rohl, who we're all aware of ?.

I think depending on your age, you can look back and see that every successful team in England had a spine of Scottish (and Irish) players throughout the backbone of the team.
Maybe losing that could assist answering that question?
Just a thought.

Shota, imo it goes hand in hand with sfa and spfl destroying football in Scotland.

Shota. Germany changes their coaching structure post war and they have had successful coaches for years but not many travelled abroad. However I think the main change is that young coaches start in under-19s and are allowed to develop but know that there are top teams looking at these leagues to see where the next good coach is coming from to give them a chance. Also reserve league coaches are watch with the view of giving them a chance if they look the part. I think here we go around the same pool of managers and coaches and rarely would a young coach get the chance and if so not for long. Much more to it I imagine but this is part of it.

I will say again it does not rule out any of them SWS none are old in coaching terms.

I see danny rohl betting odds coming down fast from 66/ 1 earlier and now down to 20/ 1 ? Obviously a flurry of bets have been placed on him ?.

Or bookies know that fans are wanting to know but some want to make a few bob. so by dropping price it makes fans think the bookies know something and put their money there. Bookies odds mean very little when it comes to a new manager.

Don't know the answer but it's a good question shota, as your right a wave of good young managers seemed to have appeared over last few years. German football is ran excellently though. Also good point by angus in his post.

Some very good Scottish coaches going through the SFA system and it's still regarded as one of the best coaching courses in Europe. It's only a small part of the big picture though and I could talk about the pro youth set up for hours.
