That's now confirmation that yilmaz is out for the remainder of this season also ☹️As much as i like both sterling and yilmaz, they both are very injury prone for me and made of glass ? Our new manager/ sporting director should look to move both on, as they're absolutely no good for us being constantly injured ☹️We can't keep carrying injury prone players ?.
25 Apr 2025 16:17:03
Agreed.
25 Apr 2025 16:20:36
Agree, like both lads when fit but like so many are contributing very very little.
We need robust quality.
25 Apr 2025 16:21:06
Million dollar question - how do you move them on?
25 Apr 2025 16:23:12
I agree, Walter
Add to that list Butland, Tav, Propper, Jefte, Bajrami, Hagi, Lawrence, Danilo, and others.
It's a huge undertaking for the club, certainly won't happen in one window.
25 Apr 2025 16:37:57
It's unfortunately an ongoing issue with us over recent seasons with certain players. That needs to be rectified.
25 Apr 2025 16:45:01
Mark, hagi and Lawrence will go,
Ehl, u sell them, as I have said and u agreed there has been interest in sterling last summer and yilmas at evert window, do not renew Lawrence, Balogun, hagi contract, here's five injury prone players away.

We constantly seem to be really unlucky in players fitness, the list goes on and on did I read somewhere that Sterling has some form of muscle weakness, and for Ridvan for a young man he's nowhere robust enough to play in the SPL. So much for our lauded medical staff, can we swap them for their counterparts at Celtic as they usually have a full squad to pick from.
25 Apr 2025 17:22:51
Walter move them on? You say injury prone so no good to us? ;Does that not make them no good to anyone else?
25 Apr 2025 17:54:30
Good post John good for the club to finally have them off the books.
25 Apr 2025 17:55:00
Agree with ehl think it will be really difficult to move both on with there injury record. If we did move yilaz on it would definitely be at a loss.
25 Apr 2025 18:22:49
Get them fit and don't play them in full games and keep them fit someone will take them, we did after all.

So where a player doesn't have a record of injuries they wouldn't be considered as injury prone when we bought them. however they do seem to carry a lot of injuries when they get here. It could just be bad luck, perhaps the level/ type of training which causes these injuries or lastly an unwillingness to play when they carry a minor injury.
Neither of these players would seem to be slackers and they have no history of injuries so must be reasonably robust. Clement alluded to the fact we get more than our fair share so what is it which makes previously uninjured players to get more, frequent injuries when they reach us. EHL you might be able to give some insight on this.

I don't think it's unlucky, i think it's the conditions in Scotland these players are mostly coming from warm countries with hard and fast pitches to soft rain sodden pitches and cold weather in Scotland.
Muscle injuries are more likely in cold conditions - fact.
Injuries are more likely in wet conditions.
Hello, i'ts Scotland, it's not rocket science.
25 Apr 2025 19:19:10
Agree John sell them even if we lose money shame but that's the nature of the beast . not sure how it works but if they don't want to move is that a problem?
25 Apr 2025 19:22:37
Get ridvan in one of those big plastic Baws you roll down a hill with, keep him from moving until January and roll him back to Turkey, the boy just doesn't have it for Scottish football. I think we would probably have to take a loss but we need players with more, more anything to be honest.
25 Apr 2025 19:46:43
I think it's a wee bit simplistic to say it's down to cold weather, Lots of cold countries play football, Scandinavia, Germany and so on. We have been badly hit over the last few seasons, I think when a team are playing well and winning for some reason they seem to suffer less. Hopefully we are just about to enter another era of winning football, I bloody hope so.
25 Apr 2025 20:08:02
Correct sima it's just utter nonsense to blame the weather.
25 Apr 2025 20:14:16
Yilmaz has a repeated problems with his hamstring for some reason . I do think if we have him fit for the transfer window a Turkish team will come in for him and we can get rid . Sterling would be more difficult though .
Not sure that Butland, Jefte, Bajrami and Danilo will be sold unless the new manager makes it clear he doesn't want them or an offer comes in that we can't refuse.
