Steven Gerrard is not the answer.
Won the league yes thanks for that.
In doing so gave us a team of overpaid under talented individuals with no sense of pride.
Other managers have suffered because of the mess that was left.
His right hand man comes in to hammer the nails in the coffin.
He was and is the main face of this fallen regime.
They backed him and his "Brains of the operation" and it has failed miserably.
We are in transition from one regime to another.
Let us start anew and right the mistakes of the past.

I agree with part of you answer as in SG prob is not the answer at this point in time. He won the league and stoped the 10. He built a squad over a few seasons that got to the EL final albiet under a diffirent manager. I might be wrong on some of this but I think some of the palyers under his tenure went on to be sold for good profit ie Bassey, Aribo, Patterson and Kamara. i'm not sure which palyers you refer to when it comes to under talented or no sense of pride under his tenure. Beale wasted all the money on perhaps the players you refer to and we are left with the mess you refer to. Imo I don't think we can point the finger at SG, I would point the finger at Stewart Roberton for apointing Pedro Caxhina and Beale, 2 very costly mistakes that put us back a good few years and whoever apointed PC who seemed to remove the winning spirit from the club.

Ada, what's your thoughts on Knutsen? Why has he never left Bodo when he undoubtedly has had loads more lucrative offers over the years.
Is he settled there or just committed to the project? If it's the later, would he be interested in Tue project at Rangers? And (sorry for all the questions) would he have the mettle to manage a club at Rangers where success is demanded every week?

Asathor your posts are usually quite interesting and I'm not saying bring Gerrard back but your summing up of his time in charge is nonsense.
We maybe did have to pay good wages to bring in some of the players we had but think of the squad he inherited and what he had to do to get us back on top after 9 years in the wilderness. He built a side that not only won the league but brought in much needed cash from good European runs and signed guys like Kamara, Bassey, Aribo and even Sakala who made serious money for the club too. He was Kings man not the current regime. Can you really call the likes of McGregor, Davis, Defoe, Kent, Arfield . Kamara, Aribo, Bassey, Barisic and Roofe untalented. He left a a talented squad that GVB and Wilson screwed up and what has Beales appointment as manager got to do with him? Its funny how the onky successful naager we've had since Walter gets the blame for all the problems at the club since . As I say, nonsense.

Asa, as zikos mentioned there knutsen and he'd be a brilliant appointment for us imo mate but i honestly don't think we'd go for him which is a shame ☹️Muscat and knutsen were my 1st and 2nd choices even before clement was appointed ?.

Yes he would be interested in the project although his way of managing probably doesn't align with the structure the club are going for.
Yes he would have the mettle because although Bodø fans are riding the wave having been mostly a second tier side, Kjetil demands wins in every match.

WSlgers i should have said untalented and/ or unavailable.
Bassey played good 6 months then sold.
Aribo got a decent fee.
The rest either retired or moved on for minimal fee therefore no reinvestment.

I'm a Rangers supporter who's totally grateful what steven gerrard did at Rangers and it was always going to take time with the total shambles he inherited ?Also our players fitness levels were superb under gerrard of that there's no doubt ?If it was him we brought back i'd certainly back him to the hilt ?.

I'm probably in the minority but I thought S.G. did a superb job.
He inherited one of the worst Rangers teams I ever seen. He had to replace almost everyone (think the only players he kept was Tav and Morelos).
And over the course of 2 years he steadily improved European performances (since the debacle of Progres) and also built a team that could go toe to toe with Celtic.
When he left we were 9 points ahead of them and had a better squad than what we have now.
Were they overpaid yes, did we not cash in when their stock was high yes, but that is generally not the manager's fault. Salaries and player sales is normally the DoF remit.
Personally would have him back as I think he's done it before, knows what's required for this league and although his time away has been unsuccessful, he comes with more experience.

Totally agree zikos / wsl the hard time Gerrard gets off our support is bonkers.
His team won one of our most important seasons ever, done it unbeaten. It was basically his team that got us to within a penalty kick away from another euro cup. Teams that are under talented don't win titles and get to euro finals.

What nonsense WSL4ever, gio didn't mess up any squad, they weren't doing well in league phase of Europa league when he came in and he took us to final, win Scottish cup and qualified for champions league before the same group of players stopped playing for him as they didn't like the home truths he told them.
