Thinking about why the ceo would address the media its unusual and I'd not be surprised if he told fans we are looking at giving youth a chance. Nsisla and rice 2 examples. Asa in your experience why would a ceo come out to talk about the transfer window.

I think we need 2 cb’s in. One for next season and one, like evens for the here n now experimienced n ready to walk into the team. A real leader in the team good in the air good positioning, it’s like davie weir over again except evans has had a far superior career than weir.
We’re mad n to go for him if he’s there for us.

I know where both you My star and OWS are coming from but for me at the very least we should be definitely bringing in a centre half this month, whether it is a short term until the end of the season or a loan to buy we should be doing business for that position IMHO ?.

OWS Gilligane said when he came in that this type of news should come from the board and it ha been unfair on Clement that up till then he had to do it and be the media figurehead for the club. It may not be the best news but it should be the CEO and not the manager therefore who sets out strategy to the media.

Fair point Beale, if nsiala is up to the job mate then for me 1 will be enough, however I’d make it an experienced defender not a project.
Theoretically we’d have souttar back with Leon as back up, then nsiala and propper. So aye one should be enough.
However again, say evans for talking sake, if souttar and balogun get injured again, it leaves us with evans propper nsiala and king. It’s a dodgy wan for me. I think I’d like 2.

This season is effectively over domestically, we take a gamble with what we have in defence and see how it goes. No panic buys or temporary arrangements . Johnny Evan’s was a great central defender but his race is run we should be looking at younger faster defenders we are so slow at the back .

Rangers have become a project, we only finish 2nd because there are no other teams in the league that are competitive enough to go the distance to push for 2nd over the season. although if our away form continues, who knows? Celtic don’t even need to try and win the league because at this stage they can rely on us to drop points away. Let’s hope someone knows what they are doing with this project and gets it right. I appreciate there are finances to be taken into consideration but it’s a tough watch right now at times.

Bringing jonny evans in on a short term deal until the end of the season is an absolute no brainer imo ?.
{Ed001's Note - explain this one to me please. I don't understand it when you have nothing to play for, but you want to bring in an extremely expensive loan player to finish the season off. An injury-prone, old, slow (though still good, nothing like the player he was sadly) player at that, to play in an extremely physical league where he is more likely to pick up injuries. Surely better to save the money and just play a youngster who might just grab the opportunity with both hands?}

Ed we have a Scottish cup we want to win, and we are doing very well in Europe, which we want to continue. That’s a lot to play for. We also have atleast 2 more old firm games maybe 3 so experience and quality will be needed for those.

Stevie we have Fraserburgh on 18/ 19 February and next rounds second week in February. Celtic game at start of March. By that time Balogun Sterling and Tavs will be back and more than likely Souttar as well. so I would argue that we have enough with Propper Nsiala and King to get through Fraserburgh match. So why buy a player who sent long-term when we are short of budget. identify an OOC or developing CH for next year and settle with what we have. about time we played our youth as no nae mentioned has filled me with any excitement anyway.
