If Motherwell beat us today do you think PC is finished or do the board view PC is here for long term. I know the fans ultimately will decide but I think the club have invested on him staying. I definitely don't want managers changing but looking at our constant failings i'm not sure the best way forward. We go 2 steps forward then 1 step back.

Agree1 Disagree0

Fans want success but also want a different manager ever year which will never bring any success.

29 Dec 2024 10:48:33
Dont think he is finished, as I do agree he needs time and we can't have new manager and clear out every 18 months!
However. am at the stage I'm HOPING for a win v Motherwell st Mirren killie etc! and that isn't good for my nerves.

29 Dec 2024 11:13:46
Fans want success full stop. If a manager doesn't deliver that or the team look capable of delivering that then they will also want a change of manager. Its the same everywhere. This board sacked gio in november 9 points behind them, and after a european final a scottish cup win and champions league football. What makes clement so special or what has he shown that he should be backed. Not beat them in 6 games, 12 points behind. Standards at our club are slipping.

29 Dec 2024 11:18:07
He should have been sacked months ago but yes, drop points today and he should resign. We don't have the money to sack him, that's why he's still here.

29 Dec 2024 11:25:25
Sacked months ago when new players only arrived months ago, aye ok?.

29 Dec 2024 11:30:42
Agree struth, they could well win this league with a 15-20 point gap and some on here would still say give him more time and money to spend.
If as a club we should accept second then why do we need to spend millions on players to beat the Aberdeens and St Mirren’s of this world, they have budgets that are much lower than ours.
Keep reading on here we need to accept where we are so let’s slash the budget to save money, bring through more youth players and get a manager in who can get the best out of players! I will bet the same people saying accept where we are don’t want that either!

29 Dec 2024 11:46:39
Ok star let's go with your theory here.

After the Killie defeat we were 6 points behind.

So if we use your theory that its a new project and he needs time. Then why is it that we fast forward almost 3 months where we have given him time but we are now 12 points behind?

I wanted to sack him after the Killie game, you wanted to give him time. So we've gave him almost another 3 months and we are now 12 points behind. This would suggest that There has been no improvement, infact we have got worse.

29 Dec 2024 11:51:28
Okay folks, what's the case for keeping Clement, he hasn't proved anything to me that is an improvement on those who came before him, barring a few decent Europa League results. I know we can't keep changing Managers every year, bu we need someone who will at least try and get a few different formations, don't ask me who as to be honest I wouldn't know, from a financial point we don't have many options.

29 Dec 2024 11:52:53
The worry if he is sacked who we getting, away form been shocking!

29 Dec 2024 11:56:59
Coldo maybe the reason is your team has only draw twice in the league, weren't you rattling on about being in 3rd position then?
Last reply can't believe I've even replied to you, a clueless tim on a Rangers site lol.

29 Dec 2024 12:17:02
You only keep the manager if you think he can deliver success and anyone who thinks PC can deliver success are just wrong. PC is not the correct man to take us forward. I don’t think the board will get rid even if mwell and Celtic beat us unfortunately.

29 Dec 2024 12:36:33
No . even if we lose another 6 matches this, season he will not be sacked . the board are invested in his project and will assess at end of season especially if other factors are being considered such as board changes and any future investment.

29 Dec 2024 12:37:26
Rangers are currently 12 points behind Celtic. Losing to Motherwell could increase that gap to 15 points behind Celtic. That could move to 18 points if and when Celtic beat us in a few days.

Are these sort of points gaps ever acceptable? No. He needs to be sacked.

29 Dec 2024 12:40:55
Bluey

Think club finds itself between rock and hard place financially. We're in situ where we might be carrying dud more who we can't afford to get rid of. Think board set their stall giving extension so quick. Not bad decision because feel we need long term guiding hand but whether PC or not biggest question. My own non answer is give time and wait see but if well beat us today his coat on shoogle peg.

29 Dec 2024 12:48:50
If we get beat today, or drop more points (I don't think we will), then he should be out the door, but he won't. There's no way he goes before the game against them, so he's here for at least one more game.

There's no way the tims are dropping points at home to a terrible st Johnstone team, so the gap before the 2nd will be no less than 12 points, however, If that was to increase after the 2nd, then things could change.

29 Dec 2024 13:08:43
Give him time okay let him see out the season if we finish with nothing and say 25 points behind in the league.
They hit another treble and get out their champions league stage which is another vast amount of money.

Do we admit then maybe he isn't the man for the job?

I'd love nothing more than clement to work out but it's not going to happen.
Hopefully I'm wrong but he is not the man for the job.
Just my opinion lads.

29 Dec 2024 13:18:36
The deciding factor maybe the growing number of empty seats at Ibrox. People who have paid their season tickets but are finding the standard of football so poor they can`t be bothered going. Apart from the Kilmarnock game and parts of the Dundee game the football has been substandard.
Winning the OF game will cheer us all up bit losing to St Mirren has really killed any chance of us making the league race interesting.
Would another manager do any better with the quality of player that we have and that finances and Koppen are dictating that we buy. Not so sure there are too many miracle workers about.

29 Dec 2024 13:53:07
Have Ramgers ever been 18 points behind before the 3rd of January ever? I generally can't remember being so far behind. That's declining imo.

29 Dec 2024 13:55:26
He should never have been given the job, but unfortunately he was, should never have been given an extension, but he was, should have been sacked already but hasn't - we are in a right mess not in any sort of progress - he has had more than enough time and if he was any sort of a man he would have walked but he hasn't - i'm in despair at my club for 50 years - just can't see any light at the end of the tunnelat this moment in time.

29 Dec 2024 14:03:41
Star stop it your like a methadone guy at the chemist needing a fix of coldo, cold turkey mate, it's the only way??.

29 Dec 2024 14:25:58
Alex84, who would you say is the man for the job in your opinion, mate? ?

29 Dec 2024 14:41:49
Walter, the man for the job is the man who knows what he is doing. That's not PC.

29 Dec 2024 14:43:13
Sir Walter there's people getting paid fortunes to make them calls properly. Clement needs punted.
