What are people’s thought on the January window? I still think we’re 5 players short of a winning team (2 centre half’s, right back, centre mid and a centre forward) .
I don’t expect us to sign 5 in January, I’d like 3, the centre half’s and the centre forward being my priority.
I’d also like to see 3 or 4 moved on, Dessers, Dowell and Matondo for example.

I agree with you dado definitely 2 ch. I would say a winger because I very much doubt we can afford cerny and it would be good to have a boy in and get him integrated into the team before next season.

Cb will need signed in January, only if Dessers is sold we need another cf, sell Matondo and sign another winger, sell Dowell and buy another cm maybe wishful thinking, but think a few players will sign in January.

I don’t actually want to disrupt the squad with loads of signings, we’re looking like making progress over the last month. 2 or 3 might help win the cup and set us up for next season.
I agree storm, would be good to have somebody intriguing over the next 6 months before next season.
Yeah a right back probably isn’t the priority in January but will need addressed over the summer.

We need another striker regardless if Dessers is sold or not. He's not good enough for the bench. Two ch's and a winger also.

Rangers domestic season is all but over. The League Cup has been lost, and Celtic already have one hand on the league title. The only think Rangers have left to play for the Scottish Cup and that has a prize money of just a few hundred thousand pounds. So highly unlikely the board will spend money in the search for a domestic cup win.
I imagine the board will take whatever money they make from Europe and bank it. Players like Cortes still need to be paid for and that is a £4m bill coming up in the summer. I think Rangers will be looking to make the Cerny loan permanent. Rangers also had another RB on loan that everyone wanted signed last week but I guess he is out of favour now.
Rangers won't spend big in January because there simply is no reason to. If there was a title race I might see the argument but there simply isn't. Rangers are 3rd.

Don`t see that we need another right back, we have two . Definitely one centre back which was needed anyway but more so now with the Souttar situation, I would like a central midfielder still, to be able to give Raskin a break or cover if he gets injured and a forward, maybe one who can play wide or through the middle similar to Sima . Probably be a couple of loans and maybe announcements about pre contracts . Would I take Shankland, yes, if it was small fee or a pre contract, its a no risk signing with a lot of benefit if it comes off.
It would be good to get rid of Dowell, Matondo, Dessers and possibly Lawrence but that depends o somebody wanting them.

Some want lawrence shankland but i certainly wouldn't be selling cyriel dessers for the sake of signing shankland, as for me i'd rather keep dessers if that was the case as he's better than shankland for me ?.

We ain’t signing two CBs, one will be brought in, others be one in one out and we probably agree who should be out but the wages they are on is a problem.

So in terms numbers I’d say Danilo hagi replace nanna and m dowell.
The issue is who would be the third player dropped out.

We’ll probably sign 1 centre back for a fee, an unknown with potential.
If we’re to sign another it would be a loan til end of season for an experienced player who can come straight in.
If we don’t do the latter then I’d expect another utility man like kasa. So still 2 defenders.

Sam g, 3rd choice currently. Can Danilo be relied on? We will need to find out will dessers replacement do well or no? People like your self have been on the big man’s case due to the agenda against him after a terrible start. He did go on to be our most prolific striker in nearly 20 years after that. He can be brutal at times but he can also be great at times and here’s a fact all strikers miss chances. I think when we’ve got some one fit and reliable then he can be moved on but not until then. We’ve been largely unsuccessful for the last 13 years so putting that all on a single player is a load of crap.

Dessers is a very good 3rd choice cf for me Sam, but Igamane (special talent) and Danilo are well ahead of him now, we aren't signing any cf unless Dessers is sold and I believe he'll be sold in January.

We won't spend in jan because we don't have money the best we can hope is to get 2 ir 3 out the door and use the wages freed up on a loan or a pre contract but we definitely need a ch even a short term loan.

When we brought on Dessers we were vastly weaker, when Celtic brought on Idah they were just as strong.
Dessers is not good enough to be in our squad. When we bring on subs we should be as strong a team as we were before we made subs. Dessers makes us much weaker as a team. So no he's not a good 3rd choice.

Dessers came off the bench and got a double a few games ago, still scored more goals than any celtic cf, Dessers wasn't our main problem, but getting our football together was but it's only progress now.
