No Tav or Dessers? Shocking HAHAHA.

It’s too sad to think of the great players we used to have compared to the bang average we have now, was looking at footage of our games against Parma from 99. What an exciting team to watch bit disillusioned by the club atm.

The obviously know sod all about Rangers! J Albertz above J Greig?! I Durrant above D Cooper?! No offence to Durrant, but he should be nowhere near our top 10! No Tav?! ??.
07 Nov 2024 09:29:36
John Greig is number 1. He is the greatest ever ranger already been voted by the club.
07 Nov 2024 09:29:45
Seems very skewed towards one time rather than taking in the whole history of the club.
John Grieg at 10 is madness, number 1 every day of the week.
I think Super Ally would be the first to acknowledge that, but there are a lot of names missing in my opinion that should be there and it is just that there are not enough people around that remember them any more.
07 Nov 2024 09:31:12
Not sure albertz would be on there either.
07 Nov 2024 09:32:32
Some great players on there but lots not on there.
You could debate the order over and over and never come to agreement. For me davie cooper was my hero and I would have hime further up that list but so many players that could be on it.
07 Nov 2024 09:44:32
Cant argue with the top 10 except John Greig is the greatest Ranger imho.
07 Nov 2024 10:00:21
Just a post to get a bit of discussion going guys?.
07 Nov 2024 10:03:43
I think a Top 10 is only relevant to the age of the voter.
07 Nov 2024 10:27:01
Sandy Jardine easily in the top 10.
07 Nov 2024 10:57:15
Nae Albertz, that's blasphomy! The big man deserves his place up there.
07 Nov 2024 11:42:31
Mr Greig Number 1.
07 Nov 2024 11:45:45
Fork,
Your list is waste of time. Your basing this on players probs in your lifetime totally ignoring Rangers greats of years gone by who you either don't know or are simply ignoring. Your list marks a 20 year era but in an institution of 150 year history it's ignorance. To give you idea outside John Grieg, Davie Meiklejohn Rangers second greatest captain in 1923-1934 era.
07 Nov 2024 11:55:28
Agree mph.
07 Nov 2024 12:01:44
John Greig for me as #1. And as another poster pointed out - what about Sandy Jardine?
07 Nov 2024 12:34:57
The real question is - if you could buy them again now…. Desser, Flo, or Van Vossen?
07 Nov 2024 12:37:08
What about Bob Malcolm ????.
07 Nov 2024 12:47:24
It would be interesting to know the criteria for deciding the top 10 but in my lifetime by any criteria, John Greig would be No1 and Sandy Jardine would be in there too . Super Ally would be right up there, so they got that right
Big Jorg is probably my favourite player but even I wouldn`t have him above those two legends .
07 Nov 2024 13:10:00
Albertz was great but so was a lot of players in that side. Certainly don't think he qualifies in our top 10 of all time. Was he better than gascoigne whos not made the list? Not a chance. Sandy jardine etc. Along with albertz in that era u would have klos, numman and gio, mols all the same type of impact.
07 Nov 2024 13:26:04
No Joey Barton?
07 Nov 2024 13:40:16
Albertz was my hero Paul and I'll not hear a bad word against him??.
07 Nov 2024 14:03:52
I like big jorg albertz but he's never near the ability the world class midfielder paul gascoigne was ? To anyone who thinks otherwise, behave yourself.

NOT MY LIST MBW, read the OP it's from Give Me Sport, I grew up watching Jardine, Greig, McCloy, Miller, Forsyth, Cutty Young, Doddie, McLean, DJ, Parlane, Mckean, Bomber, Stein, Conn need I go on, while we're at it I mentioned Caldow, kitchenbrand, johannsen in discussion yesterday, been going to ibrox since 69, aptly 55 years, again NOT MY LIST. ? cheers?.
07 Nov 2024 17:52:11
I await your profound apology, you say its ignorance, yet u can't pay attention to the OP stating its from a site, its not me who is ignorant, and its as if you think I'm a youngster who is unaware of bygone days why because i have a laugh, get a grip bud your way out of line here.
