I think a lot of posters are correct in there opinions that if the manager is sacked
The new manager will once again want to replace the players we have as I still think Majority aren't good enough
Not good enough in a sense that they will not be good enough to deliver a sustained challenge to Celtic over the piece of a whole season
our Captain James tavernier for as good as his stats were their Alfie a few seasons has totally dried up his runs and crosses and goal scoring exploits have pretty much all dried up Along with any of the fight and desire he once had for the club.
Clement must also see this and that is why he has to take the captains armband from him now and drop him from the team completely as soon as possible if our captain isn't up to it this will 100% affect the rest of the players
Phil interviews are getting more ludicrous by the game and I think he's a manager way out his depth and I don't believe he even knows what he is doing anymore
But I believe the board have sold him up the river on what ever fairytale they sold him when he first took charge of the team
We will see what comes over the next few games and if the board will take action or continue to sit behind the manager quietly
I don't think fans will take much more if we lost to Aberdeen on the 30th
But at the same time if it's true we can't afford to sack him then I'm not sure where that leaves anyone
Maybe he walks on his own accord but I highly doubt it with a potential pay off of some sort.
The recruitment on signings over the past few years I said many times before feels like not a lot of homework has went into them and if that statement is wrong then either way recruitment needs looked at as it's been way off it for some time with money we pay on wages and contracts etc so much so we're now halving to bring that down to a more sustained level shows we have been overspending without getting what we paid for
Recruitment of managers has also now shown to be way off and decision making at the top is really showing to be lacking any form of proper leadership going from one disaster to the next
The weak mentality instilled in the club at the minute I think their needs to be change from top to bottom to change it but that's easy to say and unfortunately I can't see anything changing especially if the money isn't there
So possibly the first big move at team level is to change captains and see if that makes an impact on the team for the better and hopefully changes the mentality of players on field.
