Everyone just calm down. Are we terrible? Yes. Have we been terrible for years and fans wanted the manager gone every time? Yes. We’ve made our bed, time to lie in it! We cannot get rid of another manager, just can’t happen.
Fans worrying about finishing 3rd, wow. Embarrassing to be wobbling like that in October.
Poor result and dreadful performance but we’re just going to have to suffer because the other option is getting a manager in to give us a short term bounce and then we’re £15m behind with some different players who aren’t good enough and back to the same issue year on year.

Where is this figure of £15 million to get rid of PC and his team coming from?
I'm assuming very few have read properly all the clauses in his new contract and my guess would be that that figure is a big exaggeration. I'm no expert, so if anybody can put me right, fine.

Sorry sollof, I disagree. PC is not capable of fixing this mess and the majority of the players are just not good enough. We need a new manager who can adapt a system to suit the players we have and build from there.

THE FACT IS _All the players need a rocket up their ar** because if u tell me that they are all playing to their maximum potential then that is SERIOUSLY not the case - few weeks a go this site was singing and dancing because of a European result so the facts are there we CAN win against decent opposition - what we can't do is work like Trojans when bread and butter games are before us -Yes that's a management issue and needs sorted ASAP - but will constant managerial changes help - will it F**k - we are in a mess caused by previous regimes who could not run a piss up in a brewery and PC is carrying the can - immediate change will not make us instant world beaters - time to wake up and smell the coffee! I want to judge him after good few more transfer windows - if he doesn't get burned and pitchforked by the rumbling masses before that! Our club has not been run like a tru business for God knowns how long - only when that truly happens will we see benefit pitchside - Support the team and club and don't burn Ibrox down with the negativity - no gain without pain ?.

Ibrox, u just said the players aren't good enough, how would a new manager work with that because we can't just get rid of players.

teddyblue, Clement is on 2.5M a year until 2028 so him alone the compensation would be around 9M. No idea what his backroom staff are on but I assume they are all contracted to 2028 as well so won't be cheap. 15M does sound a bit steep but not impossible.
A bit of chat about gardening leave but that depends on the contract! Managers, or more specifically their agents aren't stupid and may have closed that loophole with a simple clause that says removal from the managers job amounts to dismissal. You have to wonder what was put in that extension!
One thing for sure is that sacking the manager now will be expensive but numbers are anyone's guess.

I explained that in my post geesadodothat.

Ibroxonia, hatrick this week.
22 Oct 2024 10:57:00
A decent manager can polish a turd. Just look at Aberdeen.
22 Oct 2024 11:16:43
Clement is on 50k a week? Cantsee that?
22 Oct 2024 12:13:50
Hattrick, I don't understand? I thought you'd be lying low after getting it badly wrong again?
22 Oct 2024 12:21:51
Badly wrong? what are you slavering about now Coldo?
22 Oct 2024 12:23:48
3rd user name this week, that's a hatrick to me coldo from the darkside.
22 Oct 2024 12:35:22
Sorry but you must have me mistaken. Were you not telling everyone how you've seen performance improvments and that these players will be a success. You told us we just had to give them time to settle. You went on about the quality of Cerny and Diomande. Was that not you?
22 Oct 2024 12:38:10
We are stuck with all these players until January but is is obviously not working especially in an attacking sense, so the only argument for keeping Clement is if he throws out the current system and tries something different.
4-3-3 has won the title for the last 4 seasons in Scotland or of not why not go 3 at the back and wing backs to give us width and allow us to play two strikers .
We have attacking full back options on both sides who would suit playing this way and the likes of Kasanwirjo or Sterling can be used in the back three to add pace and ability to go out wider to cover. We`re stuck with Dessers but give him a partner maybe we could forge a pair of strikers to share the goals. The midfield 3 could vary depending on the opposition but it might get more out of Diomande or even Dowell. We need to try something different.
22 Oct 2024 12:51:32
Diomande coldo nothing about Cerny, so your now denying your coldo lol, coldo all day long, give yourself a break and stay this user name now.
22 Oct 2024 12:56:23
Best thing we will get out of Dowell is if he buys a one way single on an Avanti train from Glasgow Central heading South asap and never returns?one of the most woeful players ever to pull on the light blue imho.
