Have been a big PC fan but have to say I'm losing confidence by the week. Why did he wait so long to make a change when everyone could see our 2 fb were continually skinned. Surely he had a plan to double up on there wingers also our midfield continues to be weak and outnumbered.

I expected a tough season but I'm genuinely not seeing the progression I thought I would by now. Dio looks lost as does Cerny and Lawrence can't get into a game to be more than an occasional threat tw.

I agree with this 100% At least under Gerrard we seen progression and signs of improvement within the team. We were also a very fit team. Can’t say the same under PC. He has no style of play and he has baffled me with his subs on more than a few occasions now. We are regressing under him at an alarming rate and if it continues we will struggle to finish 2nd.

TBH, I've got my doubts also. Time will tell i guess.

As I'm not a fan of his, then I'm confident to say he's a busted flush who won't be our manager by the start of next season. It's my opinion he will fail as he's not up to the job.

And before the "what do you want us to do, keep sacking managers and start again" brigade start, then yes, if we need to we need to. We can't continue on with a manager who is failing in the hope he comes good as that just can't happen in a 2 horse league. If PC continues, that 2 horse league becomes a one horse league (already is to be honest), with a 2 horse league for runners up spot.

The biggest thing that frustrates me in a manager is when they are not willing to put their ego aside and change in certain games. Are we better than this time last year, probably not. But there is potential I just feel the same way in tha fact that will PC be the one to get the potential out of them.

I really feel like we need to switch the structure in midfield as Barron and Dio have far too much work to do. We badly need a physical no6.
I’d also love to see a CB that is strong, fast and powerful. Sterling maybe?

Just for the GVB posters on here, remember his last 8 games with us and I just watched the highlights if his teams dismal performance last night - guys he was a great player but not the saviour manager some people like to think.

Class on here, Clement was only praised one week ago ???.

What do you want us to do, keep sacking managers and start again? ???.

Time will tell but he has been successful everywhere he went, including Monaco (3rd place finish and 2nd until weeks from the end in 2nd season). Yes, we did see improvement under Gerrard, but it wasn't until 3 seasons in we won the title.

He was reportedly about to be sacked when covid arrived. when a manager doesn't do what the fans think should be done, then they are baffled.

Sunshine you may be right in that he isn't the right man but if we sacked Gerrard, then we wouldn't have won 55 It takes time to build a team to succeed unless the rest of the teams are poor which is why Celtic continued town no matter who was in charge (Delia).

there is improvement but wasting my time I know and all it takes is a big defeat against a better team to start it all again.

Rangers created lots of chances last night and I don’t think his style of play has anything to do with barrons back pass, lacazettes worldy and cernys miss. If you don’t take chances it’s an uphill battle, not much clement can do about that. The midfield battle was pretty even, the players they had at the top end of the pitch are miles better than what rangers could afford and that’s the difference.

MPH! ???? To be honest, I would have done the same if it wasn't me posting that. ?.

Angus this Rangers team is wide open and tactically there are red flags everywhere, the midfield is weak.

People are beginning to seriously question the manager and rightly so. His set up is poor and we see it. His press conferences are starting to get more and more embarrassing as he waffles the same nonsense week in week out. I was all behind him when he came in but enough is enough. We are not making progress under him. The players have no clue or direction.

You could see progress with Gerrard year on year, clement has had 4/5 good performances in the last 8/9 months and a really poor win ratio.

One thing Gerrard's team could do was compete, then beat, the tims in games against them. PC has failed on 4 occasions so far, with the potential of 2 more games against them within the next 3 months. He has to start beating them!

Best case scenario is he retains LC and beats them in final, then beats them at ibrox in January. If that happens, I'll be ready for a very large dose of humble pie.
Worst case is we lose LC, fail to beat them at Ibrox, then he goes 6 games without a win against them.

Now, if that happens, he does not, and should not survive that. No Rangers manager survives that! Club legends have been sacked with better records, so he ain't surviving that. Why should he?!

Mph I never said sack the manager, but I think I'm in the majority now having doubts about him. Are you 100%.

04 Oct 2024 22:08:44
Honestly don't think any manager would make a huge difference with the players he has available.
Remember how many players left in summer and had to try build a squad again. It needs time. Tav needs to step aside now and we need a new striker and hard midfielder who can control a game in january. I believe these changes would go a long way. Clement said what he wanted and he didn't get it. Dio and barron a lot of effort but think the 2 of then together running around like headless chickens is big part of the problem and they need a cool operator next to them.
