Rangers FC is a professional football club and should behave as such.
It is not possible to have an international player of Hagi's quality rot in the B team.
In a worst case scenario, he should be released from contract, as no one in their right mind will pay what Rangers want for him.

Agree4 Disagree0

Don't know what world you live in soccerfan. Why would Hagi simply walk away from the remainder of his contract? He would want a large payoff. You cannot just pat him on the head and say that's your contract ripped up. now off you go back to daddy.

Hagi is a professional football player and should behave as such.
He's ( and his Dad ) been trying to engineer a move away from rangers for well over a year.
There is ways to go about things. Talented player who lacks an engine and is suddenly realising that no one in their right mind will pay him what he is looking for.

25 Sep 2024 11:03:12
MPH, that's simply not true. Beale wanted him out and gave him little option but to accept the loan move to Spain. On his return, he was told he wouldn't be selected as the club cannot afford the increase in pay that is in his contract. Hagi is being professional and playing where he is told to, and starring for the team. Agreed, that should not be difficult. He is a very talented player who does have the engine required to complete his job, he deserves the chance to show what he can do.

Morelos was trying to engineer a move for 18 months but wasnt treated anywhere near as bad as Hagi.

25 Sep 2024 11:28:52
That’s utter nonsense bigger clubs than us have done it with players.

Correct Dailly, Morelos got away with murder. Although we didn't owe his former team money if he played more.

25 Sep 2024 11:49:52
Well said MPH he wanted away, no-one came in for him and now he loves the club and wants to play for us.

25 Sep 2024 11:56:16
You're right Dailyloyal, Morelos was a professional footballer. He and his agent tried to engineer a move away for 3 years. There is ways to go about things but downing tools, getting fat and unfit and being petulant is not the way to go about things. He quickly realised that he never ever had the quality to make the top 5 leagues and no one would pay the ridiculous money he was looking for.

25 Sep 2024 12:08:05
No club nor player can rip up a contract without financial repercussions. FACT.

25 Sep 2024 12:26:52
He could of left but decided to stay knowing he would be in B team, wages more important than playing football which is fair enough but Rangers not hid anything from him.

25 Sep 2024 12:36:09
The club kept on giving Morelos a wage rise with the understanding that if a bid came in that they found acceptable he would be allowed to leave. huge asset and critical to the first team.

Whereas the club don't think Hagi is worth what they are currently paying him, or the agreed increase if a clause is met and he isn't part of the managers plans or critical to the first team.

Hagi was available all summer and had been putting it out there that he wanted a move and yet nobody came in to buy him or even loan him it appears. His loan spell at Alaves was pretty poor so clubs are now wary of him.

The only offers he got were from Romania but they were offering less money so he wouldn't go, so even if we were offering to rip up his contract why would he accept that and lose his wages plus he can't sign for anybody now until the window opens anyway.

We are paying him, allowing him to train and playing him in B team games so both he and the club are honouring his contract. Personally, if and it's a big if, we didn`t owe him a pay rise and Genk a hefty fee if he plays a game then I would like to see him back in the squad, he's certainly better than the likes of Dowell in forward positions.

25 Sep 2024 13:21:30
very true dailyloyal

why does Hagi recieve different treatment from morelos?
anyone remember Gerrard came out and he could not pick morelos as his head was elsewhere when he wanted away,

then he was accepted back into the fold so why not Hagi?

why are the fams on here so against Hagi but backed morelos to the hilt evven when he downed tools?

25 Sep 2024 13:38:00
How much did the club end up getting for Morelos?

25 Sep 2024 14:13:52
there is a difference between being able to afford the extra wages and being willing to pay them. I suspect even if those wages weren't to be increased PC doesn't see him as the answer on RW or at number 10 possibly as he was bleating all summer about wanting to leave and his agent saying he would pay himself to get that move. He scores 2 goals (free kicks) against the U21s of a 3rd tier team and he is suddenly the messiah.

if we could just rip up the contract without the cost don't you think we would have done it by now. he will want a pay off of the remainder of his salary (£20k PW x 2 years) . then I think as free agent he could sign for someone else straight away if they wanted him.

Good accurate post re hagi imo, Wsl.

25 Sep 2024 16:06:58
Its quite easy to explain Coisty, it's called double standards, hypocritical, contradictory.

25 Sep 2024 16:22:56
Yes we do remember Coisty, some will choose not to remember. I remember one or two posters also calling out Morelos for his attitude long before it came out and lost of posters making up excuses.

25 Sep 2024 17:07:21
I just wish we had an on fire Morelos leading the line tommorow night, thinking he wasn't a quality cf tells me enough, terrorised a German wc cb and the full Dortmund backline, our best cf for a long time, Morelos has wasted his career, he should have moved to France.

25 Sep 2024 17:17:16
Coisty, Alfredo got dogs abuse on here from the majority.

Coldo, it’s not double standards at all. Where is your wonder striker playing these days colak.

25 Sep 2024 17:35:44
wsl's post gives a good detail on Hagi's posturing over the summer and PC saying he only wanted to work with players who wanted to be here. so is the difference between Morelos and Hagi as simple as the different manager.

but also Morelos scored 124 goals (36 game winning) Hagi 16 (7) so was more important to the team.

25 Sep 2024 17:40:50
Hagi isn't worth the extra money. We need rid of him in January.

25 Sep 2024 17:52:45
same situation as Michael Ball donkeys ago.

25 Sep 2024 18:52:01
Is that the same Gerrard that refused to sell Morelos after 55, Coisty?
Oh, and Morelos was pivotal to the team.
Hagi isn’t. And never has been.

25 Sep 2024 19:41:37
Hagi Might just need a run of games he was bought for a reason?
seems money is in the way not that the club thinks he’s it good enough or tried to engineer a move

John did you not say club told him he was free to find another club along with various others including tavernier Dowell etc
Infact did clement not come out in May and say Butland was the only one not for sale?
So surely Hagi like the rest may well have looked and like a few others was unfortunate in finding a suitable move
Playing him in B squad isn’t going to benefit us whatsoever.
Also I’m sure if we wanted to pay him off we could after all we’re sitting g paging him his wage what’s the difference
Did heart and hand also not report he had accepted a new contract on reduced terms?
Do we know if any truth in this?

25 Sep 2024 19:45:07
Hagi also signed a new contract with the club in 2022?
So something isn’t adding up here guys

New contract 2022 and also reported he signed a new contract with reduced terms apparently in August?

25 Sep 2024 20:05:17
I'm with you stig, something going on we're not being told?.

25 Sep 2024 20:44:11
Stig yes I did, although I never said tav was told specifically he could go.

25 Sep 2024 22:36:48
Sorry John I’m just trying to show Hagi along with others were told to find a club by our manager and our club for whatever reason
I do think the player as in Hagi had done anything wrong as far as I know?
I’m just wondering why he is being treated differently

As posts above and beyond on these pages you look at Morelos and Goldson and Roofe and helander Jack
Wright etc etc all had various concerns and contracts running down injuries and wanting to leave etc etc
Non of them above had to go play in the B squad and be individually singled out
Which is why I find it very bizarre by the manager and the club to be singling out Hagi for this special treatment
and I can’t say who is in the right or wrong as I’m not privy to all the details
All I can say at this moment is I’d give Hagi a chance to shine again and see what he can do unless we find out otherwise that he’s done something unforgivable.
