Dont forget without King (the three bears) who would we be now?
20 Sep 2024 01:45:53
Correct. Many don’t like him but the majority of support are asking for communication and he’s given more than the board has in the past two years. Many want the board to get a move on and appoint a CEO (Bisgrove left in May btw), he’s trying to at least get something moving. Same goes for investment. He was spot on when he said that no one on the current board would step up to be interim chairman and instead they’ve jumped to Gilligan.

Spot on white horse and Blue89 ?I definitely think king ? is the man to shake it up and bring fresh outside investment into our club ?We were in a much better position when he was chairman and he said it again yesterday and i'm sick saying it on here ie. steven gerrard wouldn't have left as rangers manager, if dave king was still our chairman at the time ?The board just wouldn't match gerrard's ambition to keep in front of celtic and now look where we are ?.
20 Sep 2024 08:51:07
Sws, you treat the media news as gospel mate, only gets a smile from me.
20 Sep 2024 08:57:32
Who else was in the 3 bears, don't forget Douglas Park. Communication on behalf of the club is great but going to the papers to say all of your fellow directors are useless is not the comms we need.
20 Sep 2024 09:26:12
What’s his actual plan apart from throwing numbers about like confetti?
Is the £50 million figure on the team? Which we can’t due to FFP.
Is it to invest in infrastructure, stadium capacity and increase revenue that way?
Or is he pandering to the crowd whilst massaging his own ego at the same time?
20 Sep 2024 09:32:32
Sir walter, I'm up for king coming in but Gerrard went at the right time tbh. He pushed the wages up tbh.
20 Sep 2024 09:53:10
Gentlemen, I was at dinner in the ivy last night with interest parties, west coast man intends to walk away with his money, Gibson May follow.
Certain individuals believe king is attempting to force the hand of the Board to buy him out.
We have moved from worrying times to critical. The 50 mill is to buy out certain members, not to buy players.
Apart from the slight possibility of board in it for tie and blazer ie park junior, who else can he refer to?
It was Johnston who brought in wolthardt and Halstead.
20 Sep 2024 10:02:18
I disagree on 1 point SWS. Gerrard would 100% have left for Aston Villa. They have rich, ambitious owners and are now in the Champions League. Albeit, Gerrard was out of his depth down there and got sacked. No way he wasn't going to leave for a top English club. One thing I would ask re outside investment.
What kind of investment are we talking? Another shareholder putting in some loans which have to be taken back out of the coffers at a later date to be paid back? Or maybe sell the naming rights to Ibrox or training ground and bring in sponsorship money that keeps coming in and doesn't have to be repaid.
20 Sep 2024 11:00:59
King is doing the club a disservice by shooting his mouth off via the red tops
He is not behaving like a man who has the best interest Of the club at heart he is just doing the Dave King promotional tour. We need someone based in Glasgow as chairman and CEO these are jobs that cannot be done remotely, good appointments are needed they don’t need to have a history of supporting the club.
20 Sep 2024 11:03:00
So what u actually saying John, is King basically saying the highest bidder gets my 14%, and that's all he's kicking up a fuss for? Yes his rhetoric can be skewed, but I'm not so sure that's all he's in it for bud.
20 Sep 2024 11:08:05
John what west coast man intends to walk away with what money?
What investers are actually wanting to invest?
surely if someone wants to invest they come forward and negotiate. all this talk but not real substance as no one has came out and said apart from on here they have heard rumours these rumours swirling far too long for it to have substance?
until i see see them actually do it its all smoke and mirrors. King has proven himself before and actually came into the club all the rest as far as I can see on here all talk no substance to the claims.
unless you can prove otherwise John? who is the west coast man? what money is he walking away with? did or is he willing to put his money where his mouth is or just dinner and red wine talk?
20 Sep 2024 11:23:48
Can’t believe the fans are gullible enough to believe king.
20 Sep 2024 11:37:45
Coisty Gibson halstead and a west coast business man were to fund club, west cost business man was to put 40 million new cash into club, Gibson was to significantly increase his shareholding
Negotiations have been going on for over a year, king is irked because his view does not count, all he wants is someone to buy his shares
Coisty do u think multi million business men with serinterst wash their linen on here or rag tops
Pmsl.
20 Sep 2024 11:50:33
As I said John all talk until they actually do it.
until then I Pmsl at the rhetoric on here.
20 Sep 2024 12:17:04
John how exactly does a businessman put £40m new cash into the club? He would need to buy shares and therefore either shares need to be issued, or buy someone’s shares, which therefore goes to the shareholder not the club.
20 Sep 2024 12:30:45
Borna exactly, he buys shares, resolution was voted through at last agm, he has been buying up small amounts and his family have approx 6% now.
20 Sep 2024 12:31:29
Coisty correct all talk same as king, where r his investors.
20 Sep 2024 12:43:51
If Dave King is serious about wanting to step in, perhaps he should state that any proceeds from the purchase of his shares should go to the Club and not him - although I'd very much doubt that would happen. It's more likely he's looking for a reason to sell his shares to outside parties and looking to blame the current Board's inaction, for him doing so. As many on here have said, he didn't need to rubbish the current Board and previous Board members to the extent he has (not really a professional approach) . Whether he's genuine or desperate to sell up to the highest bidder is up for debate.
20 Sep 2024 13:01:39
Storm think you have the same opinion as me mate, I can't trust anything that leaves his mouth.
20 Sep 2024 14:31:36
Still blue I would suggest that even if king wanted to do that, the SAFA injunction on him taken his money outside SA would stop him.
20 Sep 2024 15:31:15
Great info John2561. ?????????.
20 Sep 2024 16:41:42
Great Info Newman if its true - we wait and see
so many great rumours that have not come to pass
investment money spent certain players coming in
none of it has came to anything.
Still waiting to see great info actualy being true on here Pmsl.
20 Sep 2024 18:03:10
John, what exactly do you mean by critical? If you don't mind me asking. Also how much would it take to buy out Dave King?
20 Sep 2024 18:42:38
Coisty should we stop posting what we are told?
20 Sep 2024 18:45:45
King is speaking like a supporter to the supporters with this 50m headline. He was a big part in saving our club and steadying the ship but I don’t believe he is the man to do that again and he should be welcomed back to Ibrox as a fan not as our new “leader”.
20 Sep 2024 19:31:34
COISTY8283, Johns rumours about investors may or may not be just rumours but he`s not trying to get control of the club and be elected chairman off the back of them. King is and his rumoured investors don`t have names and we don`t even know if they are real. He needs to put up or shut up.
