With all the flak regarding Tav. can you just imagine the reaction if he was to miss a penalty on Sunday. ?.

Hopefully now any speculation of a transfer has gone, he'll concentrate more on his game and will try harder to do the basics right. Hopefully, he won't insist on taking every corner or free kick and give someone else a chance. A big game tomorrow and three points us what matters, so here's hoping Tavernier and the rest of the team realise what's at stake and deliver a winning performance.

Does anyone truly believe that Tav isn't trying his best. and/ or do they honestly believe that it is Tav who decided and continues to decide that he takes every corner and free kick, even heard throw ins mentioned. If he wasn't trying and it wasn't the team plan for him to take them do you not think the 4 managers he has played under would have stopped it by now.

Tav will be fine tomorrow I have no doubts. It's only Maeda is his nemesis. He's fine for 90% of the league but Europe is another matter.

Scrambled don't build your hopes up, it might come back and bite you in the arse.

Tav is a classic example of a player who's physical attributes masked their technical deficiencies.
The challenge now is to adapt to bring to the fore his strengths - which we'll start to see more and more of as he moves between RB and CM - which we'll see more off now we have better options in the structure from middle to front.
He still has a lot to offer the team.
Oh, it's also not his decision to take set pieces - it's the coaching teams and he's on them as he was the best. That will change now though.

That probably describes most footballers these days tbh, particulary Sco footballers, its only when you are upa gainst a team or palyers that has it all you realise. I would say Zidane personifices this, prob the most technialy gifted player you could imagine at 6 2, did he have a weekness, prob not. Another argument would be poundshop Ronaldo, without his physicality is he the second best palyer in the world? Messi on the other hand? Intersting debate.

If he misses a penalty that’s football, he’s already missed 18:: he would not delib Miss a penalty, we back him to score the next one.

Tav is doing nothing waiting for that pen that's about all add to his stats all he gives a fook about.

Need to get behind anybody who plays. They need us now more than anything. I think the talent is there. We just need to get the confidence back and go on a run.

Wouldn't have him starting tomorrow.

Angus, with respect, what has four managers got to do with it? Not all of the managers signed him as he was already under contract and his captaincy wasn't in question. He has gone downhill since the Europa Final, which was exposed time and again - especially against Celtic. His goals and assists were deemed to offset his defensive deficiencies but now they've dried up. If he was so well thought of by Gerrard and Gio, why did neither push to sign him? If his levels of effort shown this season are him trying his best, clearly his best is no longer good enough.

Angus no one says he is not trying he is just rotten now.
