New poster - but very old bear!
I really do think we can come good, albeit it may take some time.
Our current problem (s) could be down to so many experienced players no longer at the club (Goldson, Jack, Lundstrum, Barasic etc to name a few) .
Hopefully, some new "leaders" will eventually emerge from the new squad.

Welcome Jim, hope so mate.

Welcome Jim, good first Post from another old codger. I hope so too mate, we certainly lack a leader. On another point, I see Celtic's Women are virtually being handed a WCL Group Stage place, playing the Lithuanian Team at Airdrie their home ground, meanwhile we got Arsenal and Atletico Madrid in our qualifiers, oh well, nothing changes it seems.

those "experienced" players were part of the problem and we all wanted rid off them 1 or 2 seasons ago but no one else wanted them.
Fresh blood in and we push on!

It’s never a good idea to let too many of your old hands leave in the one window especially with a relatively new manager . PC and the few experienced players left need to start winning games against ‘them ‘, as if we don’t we will become regular losers.

Welcome Jim. I would be hoping some younger players will step up.

irvger, if we had won the league we would have been playing the Lithuanians so don't think it is a conspiracy but to do with seedings.

Welcome to the site jim ?all bears together.

A settled team with 2 improvement changes and a promo from youths is every coaches dream. The turnover this season should only happen in extreme circumstances and will take time to bed in on and off the grass. Not an easy job for PC this season with some fans expecting instant success. Patience from fans is key.

Jim, you're welcome. TBH, those players you've listed weren't good enough.
11 Sep 2024 18:30:37
Angus you have just spoiled another conspiracy by pointing out the obvious.
11 Sep 2024 18:50:43
There's no doubt the loss of so much experience is affecting the team and that failure to replace them was a mistake, you can argue over the quality but not the experience or influence they had on others.
11 Sep 2024 19:04:41
Exactly Angus not a big fan of women’s football but not hard to understand why Celtic are playing them and we are playing bigger teams.
11 Sep 2024 19:45:18
Time on the training pitch imposing our style of play as second nature to the players is the key to how we get on, our 55 season this was spot on especially in defensive areas as the stats will show, until we are at it 3 points every league game is a must which will help the fans give the team time that’s needed.
