Can anyone explain why we've spent nearly 4 million on bajrami a creative player with 4 goals and 4 assists across 2 seasons. To me it feels like Hagi-lammers all over again we sign these players with ridiculous stats and expect them to come here and get better I just don't understand it. Listen if the guy turns out to be a hit I'll be first to hold my hands up, I just don't get the appeal for a player with numbers like that. Ppl are going to come back at me and say you haven't even seen him play, I get that, I'm trying to understand our reasons for signing guys like this.

I keep saying this, I wish people would forget about stats. They don't always tell the whole story. Forlan at Man Utd, couldn't hit a barn door from 5 yards, well everyone knows the rest.

be bought a guy for under 4 million who got 2 goals and 2 assists last season
they bought a guy for 11m with 3 goals and 2 assists last season.

Jbf there's a huge difference there mate, engels is 20 year old with massive room for improvement, bajrami is 25. I get that stats don't tell you everything but why do we keep buying guys with bad stats thinking there somehow going to drastically change?

Okay he's not the greatest but he possesses plenty of bottle - like stepping up to take a penalty against Serbia to ensure Scotland's qualification to a major championship for the first time this century. And he'd give double the effort of the bulk of that team on Sunday.

Guys I honestly hope and pray I'm wrong, but our scouting of players have been absolutely terrible, feel bajrami was a panic buy who would have went unnoticed if he hadn't scored against Italy.
Propper, very slow looks mediocre
Cerny, seems to want to cut back inside every time, so predictable
Dio, waiting for him to show why we paid all that money
Cortes, not seen enough
Jefte can't defend looks OK
Barron, massively overrated at this point, looks decent.

Of all our signings so far nobody is jumping out to me, some will say barron I don't agree he looks busy but some of his passing is way of the mark, when they do it I'm europe and against that lot that's when I'll take notice. We desperately need a different scouting system, whatever we have in place isn't working.

Boy blue he's players in Italy to a good standard so it's a tougher league we have to trust nk and PC otherwise if they're signings are duds we really are in trouble.

The italian league is the hardest league in the world to get decent stats, Brian Laudrup struggled in Italy but was the best player ever to play in Scotland, haven’t seen enough of him to say if he will be the next big thing or Tom Tit so better just waiting and see how it goes ?????????.

BB, you might not like what Storm says, but he might be right this time. Kopek who has been scouting for teams since 2004 at least, including PSV has seen something that makes him think he will manage to fill the role we want him to fill.
Or alternatively, the opinion of a fan on why we should sign him holds more merit. You may have scouting experience and if you do I apologise. Engels at 20 may never improve so it is a risk they take and may eventually pay off.
Bajrami may play the role in Italy as we want him to but Italian defences are better so he may not score goals. Does he play the pass to wingers before the assist. who knows until we see him; I haven't seen him other than briefly at Euros.
so we all have opinions but it is Kopek who is paid by Rangers and his opinion is more important.

hagi creates 1-2 goal scoring chance per game which is far more than TL or SL.
