Did we over achieve when we had Steven gerrard as manger The players would run through brick walls for him and we don’t don’t have have that now. Our fitness levels were. Better than anyone we faced and now we look sluggish and have no energy, seems to me that Clemente Doesn’t have the the respect Gerrard had and the players simply not giving everything for him. Do we need a a member on the coaching staff that can get these players to give everything and are willing to bust a gut to win.

I think people seriously need to be looking at why we stormed to the league when there was no jeering and leaving at 75 mins every week. Energy is everything in football and as good energy charges up the team all the jeers from a stray pass or a missed chance drain the life from them. When it wasn't there the players found a consistent level. I'd bet that season was probably the least injuries we'd suffered in recent years too although I don't have them stats. Take the europa league run for example. Because we were underdogs their wasn't a massive expectation and that allowed for a more positive default outlook and that showed in the electric atmosphere that was produced at ibrox throughout the knockout stages which wasn't emulated in the league, performance or atmosphere.

Their captain is a year younger than Tav but plays with a freshness that Tav utterly lacks.
I would love to know what the likes of Alex Rae really thinks about PC's insistence on playing Tav when we all know that Maeda will ragdoll him at some point and cost us a goal. What would Alex think of Tav's body language on Sunday?

St Johnston won more trophies than Gerrard let’s not rewrite history. We underachieved and there were times in his tenure where the football was absolutely brutal as well. If I remember correctly he was on a shaky peg just before covid kicked off.

The one thing that I would suggest is that the players all looked up to Gerrard and as such would have given 100% for him in every game. Without being disrespectful to PC, I don't believe that he would have the same respect and would need to earn it over a period of time.
Perhaps that is why, Souness favoured Frank Lampard, as a player he was of a similar standard to Gerrard and he would have known about Rangers and our traditions.
I keep hoping that PC will succeed but without the support of the Board in the transfer market he will struggle and worryingly the longer this goes on the more toxic the fans will become and the more we will struggle to attract the player quality that we need, (even with money) .
It is therefor imperative that the Board finds new investment and new Board Members urgently and / or a top quality CEO that can quickly generate new funds through clever sponsorship.

Let's rewrite history. Players would run through wall for Gerrard yet we only won 1 trophy. He was reportedly about to be gotten rid of before Covid. He did win OF games which seems to be all some fans are worried about. Lampard had 104 games as a manager (Chelsea, Derby and Everton) at a time when all were spending money and wind 45 of them. New investment isn't really what we need we need to start by cutting our cloth to fit our budget. Any new investment can't be invested in the team due to FFP. selling naming rights to the stadium isn't investment it is sponsorship and the person putting up the money gets nothing for it long-term. There are companies who will do it but they aren't investors.
personally don't care if they are Rangers men. think of how successful Rae, Ferguson, and Thomson have been as managers. The only ex-ger I can think of who is successful is McInnes and most wouldn't touch him and I don't think he is right for us.
