My take on yesterday and where things lie
Clement is hopefully the right man he just needs time for 2 reasons
1 this is a real rebuild that is badly badly needed and tbh most of the summer signings have looked good ie cerny Jefte Barron of course the loss hurt and we where terrible yesterday but I have some faith and secondly if we do sack him we then bring in another manager who will need to do another rebuild with no money
2 yesterday was rubbish but if u analysis the game as a whole it's about moments and in the major moments they got a bit of luck propper slipping at the first goal if he doesn't slip he clears that ball no goal to Celtic
2nd goal Butland is not set properly and it's a quality finish
3rd goal takes a massive deflection but other then that we where brave at the back especially on the ball for the most part we had chances and moments but didn't take them (Dessers again, when given a chance has to do better )
3 the gulf is not as big as some seem to think yes there better than us but not miles better
We don't know how the new signings will work but hopefully better than what we had (still disappointed inDiomande for 4mill)
We need to back the team.

KP sorry but they never got out of second gear that’s how bad we are.
Hope your right and the fans remain patient, results will dictate that.

having watched the game its not just that got beat.
Its how we got beat and that we put up no real fight.
It will be a long difficult season and let's be honest getting a good result at Parkhead was always a challenge. The bigger test will be when we play Celtic at Ibrox.
But the likes of Tav and Dessers cannot be starting in Old Firm games anymore.
PC can be given all the time in the world but what are his tactics/ system and his poor sub timings/ choices and on top of that the waffle he gives out after a bad performance.
Surely it is the mangers job to organise the players and get them playing a certain way, regardless of the lack of quality in the squad.
02 Sep 2024 12:05:12
KP ranger, you're delusional.
02 Sep 2024 12:19:08
I agree we can't keep changing managers and I like that PC is trying to make this board realise how we have to move forward regarding profit and sustainability however saying that there is serious issues that need resolving.
1. CEO appointment needs to be done and asap.
2. Moments you say, we had no moments until they were already comfortably winning.
Tav switched off for the first goal.
1 pass and our midfield is nowhere, Kyogo picks it up and turns and passes into the net as Butland was nowhere near the right position.
3rd goal was a slight deflection and McGregor was able to just run past our players.
The gulf is huge, they never got out of 2nd gear as they didn't need to.
The biggest difference was the hunger and desire, Kyogo makes a full sprint back into his half to win the ball. Dessers/ Lawrence on the other hand just stand around moaning. It's a mentality thing.
I will start to back the team when I see them trying, even against the other lot in this league we have looked lazy and lethargic. We need a Scottish captain in our team and someone who will give these lazy buggers a kick up the back side.
Also we keep playing Tav!

Ally been quiet about dessers 1st chance he gets back in on dessers he wasn’t the reason we got beat yesterday but you keep thinking that ?.
02 Sep 2024 12:28:31
Unfortunately we were outclassed and outfought by a Celtic team that won at a canter. They could easily have scored five or six and totally embarrassed us, yet we grasp at straws.
We lacked leadership, I'm really struggling to work out what our tactics were and our players were like rabbits caught in the headlights.
PC has a long and difficult task on his hands if he is to make us a winning team without the serious funds to strengthen the positions that need strengthening.
It isn't just about football ability, it is about mentality and too many of our players, including the captain had already lost that game before they walked on to the park.
We need a couple of old heads that know what it is like to play for a team like Rangers and we are desperately in need of leadership both off and on the park.

Yesterday wasn’t a one off, it’s a reoccurring theme. The same bad movie over and over again. There was no luck involved. They made us look amateur at best. What game were you watching?
02 Sep 2024 12:35:04
Mental post, absolute mental post.
Kyogo wasn’t a great finish, it’s absolutely horrendous goal keeping, I’ve seen better positioning from under 14’s.
If he’s in the middle of his goals Kyogo is unlikely to even try a shot.
02 Sep 2024 12:38:29
I think as a squad we’re scared of Celtic and unlike most teams we never gained confidence from starting fast (for once) and putting them under pressure. The disallowed goal seemed to spook us and from then on we were absolutely abysmal. I personally don’t blame Clement for that as he set us up well the first 10 imo and he can’t do anything about the players wetting the bed. Clement isn’t free from criticism in any way but when the players collectively crumble then what’s he supposed to do? Tav sleeping at the back post for the first and Cerny with a weak tackle for the second is nothing to do with Clement. Must say though subbing on Igamane was bizarre in the extreme and made 0 sense to me. Really poor man management imo. His post match comments were terrible as well.

Storm, how can you not have a go at Dessers? He is pants. There is no defending him now.
If he keeps himself on side and scores then we are 1-0 up.
Dessers done absolutely nothing for the team.
"oh but Kyogo missed a good chance!". Aye, but he had already scored and they were winning lol - there's a huge difference.
Maybe you are happy at Dessers scoring against the pub teams and happy to be second place but for the rest of the fans we actually want to win and not babysit a 1 in 10 chance striker.
Also when was I quiet about Dessers? he scored two goals against County, and you want to sing his praises. WOW.
02 Sep 2024 13:00:57
KP,
Very reasoned argument. See in other media knives already out PC which crap. We're building what looks brand new side untried untested but on Sundays debacle defense disaster. And also movement ball/ players either. But believe in PC and what he's trying to do. Wait few months get new signings bedded in.
02 Sep 2024 13:05:03
Sorry KP, they never got out of 2nd gear and still should have won by 4 or 5. We are miles behind them on and off the park. I honestly don't think it's a case of if we can beat them this season, and more a case if we can actually score against them.
02 Sep 2024 13:24:47
Lanzarote, maybe pain talking but KP spoke perfect sense.
02 Sep 2024 13:24:50
Nothing to do with clement. Who picks the team, keeps tav as captain and puts him in the team every game when almost everybody else can see he needs to be dropped.
02 Sep 2024 13:28:29
good post DavidB However when he came on Igamane did okay. could it have been that Clement thought at 3-0 we had nothing to lose so told the lad to go on and just play as it didn't matter at that point. who was he going to put on that would have made a difference as all our players are considered rubbish by at lest one poster on here. We weren't great but we were definitely spooked by the disallowed goal. even then we had at least 4 good chances, Tav's volley, McCausland's chance and one where he took the ball off Cerny, and Dessers soft shot when he could have squared it to Cerny. so they might have scored 5 or 6 (with their 4 shots on target? ) but we might have scored 4 with ours. like PC says it is often just about efficiency of taking chances and/ or right decisions.
02 Sep 2024 13:49:24
Aye its all dessers fault, nothing to do with the ten other players on the pitch???? christ.
02 Sep 2024 13:54:31
Dessers wasn't the only reason but he was a big part of why we got beat, along with a good few others.
02 Sep 2024 13:57:24
I get the game was gone Angus and he wasn’t exactly put on with the expectation to grab the game by the scruff of the neck but I’m just questioning why then. We were 6-0 up last week and he didn’t play so why throw him into a pumping at park head? I just don’t get it at all but he did do ok when he came on I’d like to see him start the next game.
02 Sep 2024 15:01:44
Fork. no one said it was all Dessers fault. I even had Tav before Dessers in my original post but Dessers fanboys jump to his rescue as usual.
Dessers is the striker, main job is to score goals and he cannot do that without 10 chances which you will not get against Celtic so why even play him.
No one in their right mind can stand up for him now. His time is up.
02 Sep 2024 15:54:57
KP Ranger - difficult to take as a life long Rangers supporter but the gulf is massive both on and off the field at the moment.
