If true shows how our transfer model is not fit for purpose . thought unless valuation was meet sales wouldn't happen, we backed our self into a corner over the way we have handled transfers during window leaving us having to accept low ball offers.

When clubs know the players has to leave it doesn’t leave is much bargaining power. Add the fact we’ve only got a couple days left in the window and there’s no chance. Bright side is we’ve saved several million in wages.

We’ll be in the same position next year. With a couple of days left we can all acknowledge that any signings now are panic buys which other clubs either didn’t want or the current club are desperate to get rid of.
We’ve at least tried a long term strategy with the signing of some younger players at the start of the window but, truthfully, we’re planning for second place with another rebuild next season again.

Players need to be shifted - it is not totally current board who have caused this issue - years of prior neglect and arrogance after 55 and then letting many of our top players leave for F all - but we need fresh start and unfortunately this is the ONLY way to reduce wages and give PC somewhat of a blank slate - its going to be tough but we must stick together to get through the rubbish - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger - so got to hope that will be case with us!

To be fair Cantwell was a good player when he turned up (yes not very often) .
The way he's acted is why clubs aren't interested in him, who wants a player that will throw their toys out the pram when they want a move? 600k and a lot saved in wages is better than losing him for nowt or him sitting wi the Bs earning good money.

We needed rid of those players and now they are gone folk are moaning. If we don't want them then how can you expect other teams to pay top dollar for them HAHA
I think a lot of fans need to realise our level and that we cannot compete financially with the likely of the Prem or even championship.
Any young player with decent amount of talent that we go for, one of the prem teams can hijack. Likely hence why Gers are trying to keep a lot of the transfer business quiet as possible.
