Wish Cantwell all the best.
But i'm taking my parting shot.
Playing in Europe, winning trophies, playing in front of 50+ thousand, Wearing a special shirt from a special club, Getting paid well, idolised by our young and old fanbase, even playing in the greatest derby in the world is not for everyone.
I personally would lap that up and embrace the challenge and bust my gut to give my all. But to ask to leave twice when we were in a title race and then when we lost it seems very weak. That is a character we don't want. I want / demand commitment and respect. You can't always win but take your knocks and get up fighting.
I look at Brown, Gough, Fergusons, Ricksen, Greig and then have to laugh thinking of Cantwell.
You just have to look at Barron and Dessers commitment and you know they get it.
Hope it goes well for you Todd but its now time to grow up and get the head down. Do your talking on the pitch.

He's 26 and has had the same issue at at 3 clubs (Us, Norwich and his loan spell) . He'll never grow up.
Head full of broken bottles and we're better off without him, nowhere near as good as he or a lot of our fans claim.
I've said it before, Hagi had better numbers his first 18 months at the club than Cantwell and most of it fans rightly think we need better than Hagi. Cantwell isn't a loss.

Good post bud. Regarding being the best derby in the world, it certainly isn't anymore. I genuinely think having both sets of fans, aside from improving the atmosphere, would make it more attractive to players coming here. They probably arrive and think "is that it? " these days. I just don't think it carries the same weight on anyones bucket list just now.

Just to be clear, i'm disgusted with Cantwell's disrespect. Cannot wait for his removal from everything regarding our club. I want winners not passengers in the night.
