Usual comments re we got 40 million euros if we qualify for CL group stages.
Straight from uefa CL site
Get to group stages each of the 36 clubs get 17.87 euros
At end off group an additional 0.75 euros
First some paid October 24
Win a game get 2.1 euros
Draw a game 0.7 euros
So if we win all 8 we get 16.8 euros, so in theory we can reach the 40 million
Of the 36 clubs who get to the group stages 5 year coefficient and 10 year coefficient r paid
Simple 666 shares in both instances r divided between the 36 clubs
Club seeded 1 gets 36 shares. Ie 36x 0.275 million euros.
Club seeded 36 1 share. Ie 1 x 0.275;million euros
Club seeded 25 of the 36 qualifiers 12 shares ie 12 x 0.275 = 3.3 million euros
The important issue for me and some posters is what we get if we don't make the 36;
Lose to Kiev we get 0, but enter into group stages Europa leage.
Beat Kiev we play either Salzburg or twente.
Lose to one of them we go straight to group stages Europa league.
However the bit where some seem to get excited is we get a parachute payements of 4.29 million euros
This is for LOSERS and is to compensate for not getting through playoff.
Winning the tie does not attract a payment. However u then get moneydetailed above.
This money also payable in October 24
Every one gets it we get much less if in europa league.
Another subtle change is you get 4 home ties in group stages no matter competition
So an extra full house. We would have circa £2million pounds gate money per matc
Plus Kiev recites and hopefully playoff round
So circa 12 million,
For info group stage money for points is paid end of January 25 as is tv money share re group stages
So if we get to group in CL we can make around 20 million euros as opposed to 7 million euros, this does not include gate receipts.

Can't help feel the rebuild needed could be afforded if we qualify although iv read our plans are based on eyropa league and not CL.

I think what posters meant (I know I did), was regardless of what happens in the knock out round (as long as we beat Kiev), then that 4.2m is banked win or lose. Of course, we want to go through and make more money, but whatever happens, we are better off by a minimum 4.2m.

John I looked in to this yesterday and posted figures. The difference between us reaching Champions league and Europa league just for starters is 9.5million. We could really do with that to help the rebuild ?.

Absolute class that John finally there for all to see, our only issue is if we make the CL proper is how many wins we can manage as not sure how many know this new style but we basically draw 2 teams from each pot and no country protection this time so we could draw the tims haha.
