I thought Jeft was decent on the left wing, only drawback is we have both left backs on the pitch and Sterling, whos the back up of for the back up if they all get injured for LB.

What has Danilo done or shown to justify dropping Dessers? Yes, Dessers misses a few, however maybe the spot lght is on him for goals due to the lack of goals from everyone else.

Danilo is fit and available but he's not getting any minutes. If he wasnt fit he wouldn't be in squad.

Danilo has done very little imo. Dessers has already bagged 20+ last season and from what i have seen so far will get another 20+ this season. 2 up top and get Shankland. Give Danilo time to get fit. Then rotate as required. Or play Shankland or Danilo as the 10.

Paul86, that's the problem I'm having with Danilo, I can't understand a £6 Million pound striker not getting minutes if he is, as it looks fit to play, I hope it's not another Roofe situation.

Cannot remember watching a game of football when all the chances were converted, I think we are fixating on misses the very best strikers in the world miss chances, we are so desperate for success at the moment we have lost all rational assessment, of course Dessers is not Haaland but for the money we paid I think he is good.

Big boom the main reason that we have ended up getting Cerny is that his current club mainly play a 352 and he was asked to play as a wing back and wasn’t effective as that isn’t his position or the way he plays so they were happy to let he come to us because he didn’t fit their formation, so there is NO WAY he will be playing as a wing back for us.

Danilo will be gradually brought in to the team to ensure there's no recurrence or secondary injury - PC won't rush either new or players returning from injury into the team.

The fixtures are going to start piling up shortly so I'm sure Danilo will get plenty of minutes, can only assume PC is rightly so being cautious and bringing him back slowly after his injury.

Willie, the reason we more comment on Dessers misses than goals is because his sitters have cost us points, 3 good chances he had v hearts and we come away with 2 points dropped, shanks / Miovski maybe even Danilo would've converted at least 1.

Danilo if fit, must not be showing enough in training to justify game time, Dessers left to try and score to cover lack of goals from midfielders, none we play at present seem to be able to contribute, all square or backwards passes,

Portger23 and others, Danilo damaged knee ligaments, needed an op and was out for months. It may take him time to recover fitness and touch after that time out so he his rightly being looked after during his recovery. There was a time when you didn`t come back from this injury at all. As for Cortes being the new Roofe, totally ridiculous, the boy tore a muscle on that plastic pitch ( not the first or last to do that) and now he`s twisted his knee . These things happen in sports especially football and is nothing like Roofe who was out for months at a time over a number of years due to wee muscle strains .

Obviously danilo is fit, but being match fit and match sharp are completely 2 different things. He will slowly get introduced back into the team, more than likely when we are ahead.

I remember a legendary Gers striker telling me that if he missed six chances and scored two nobody would remember the six he missed. The opposite seems to be the case for Dessers. Another who is quickly becoming disillusioned with our support, or lack of it in his case.

@bigboom - cerny literally left Wolfburg as they play a 3-5-2 and he didn't fit in. The 2 'wingers' are expected to go up and down that won't suit him. i'm sure Clement knows this info.
