You can't fault the big man for being a nice guy. If he stays i really hope it works out for him and others chip in.

Here’s my take on him. I really like him and want him to do well every time he steps into the pitch. Is he the best finisher we’ve had? Not by a long way, but he tries and puts in a shift every time and only wants to do well for the club, despite the pelted he takes every week. He’s strong and puts himself about and plays for us week in week out. If he’s not good enough then blame the manager for playing him every week, not Dessers. I’d rather have his attitude than the petulant petted lipped Colombian that thought he was too good for us.

I was a big fan of alfie but dessers has a far better attitude, of that there's absolutely no doubt ?Dessers scores 22 goals for us last season and gets slated continually by some of our supporters and morelos was lauded from the heavens ?Like i said dessers hit 22 goals for us last season and only once in morelos's years at ibrox did he score more than dessers ?.

I do see a change in the tide for the big man.
He’s got us all in his side now and it’s thoroughly deserved.
He’s not the best player we could have got for the money but he’s what we’ve got and see at the end of the day he gives everything and that’s all we can ever ask for.
Glad everyone is now agreeing in one player atleast ??.

TBH TT12,i honestly don't think dessers is a poor player mate ? I agree we need a better no.1 striker but he has attributes and i for one hope we can keep dessers as part of our squad ?.

Agree TT, Dessers is very good off the ball as in getting into positions and hassling defenders (even if he fouls a lot) but on the ball there is no doubt he is poor. Which is why we need better quality around him if he stays.

if cyril hadnt scored with final touch nobody would be talking about him now, because we all know how poor an actual player he is, so was alf, neither would have been celtics centre forward, and that's a large part of why we are perpetual runners up at this time in our history, dessers can't control a ball and alfs ball control was laughable, anyone should be scoring plenty playing fir rangers in scotland, imo, cyril is a nice guy, sometimes even scores a nice goal, but fir 88 mins of most games he's a laughing stock, that's the facts, i would love him to even be able to control a ball and turn people, he can scarely turn himself,

Our midfield is one of the main problems Dessers has, the lack of ammunition supplied to him is hellish, Cerny came on and put it on a plate and he scores, take note midfield and do a better job for the big man.

Dessers will be licking his lips with the crosses Jefte is putting in, both him and Cerny can beat a player and then put a cross in which makes a huge difference in the box, it gives CBs a decision then up to Dessers to either get in front or stand still, up to him but got a great chance to rack goals up.

Tom your points are correct mate, to a degree.
We all know Cyriel isn’t the best, bur his goals assist numbers, which is how u win games, are very good.
I think we all agree we need a better first choice striker mate. However right now of the 2 we have I’d rather keep dessers than Danilo.
He’s a good option to have if 1st choice is out. We’ll never have the options we became used to in the past.
Ur also right about that goal not being scored a lot wouldn’t be in his side, but I believe the tide of opinion has been changing for a wee while. Maybe the confidence of the fans can help him keep improving.
Sometimes it takes one goal to change a strikers career and we all know that from past players not just for us but some of our favourite teams around the world.
I just mean to mum it’s good to see so many in his side now.

Also portger, that a very good point mate. Don’t judge a striker on lack of service, we’ve a terrible team atm and I pointed out yesterday I bet u put dessers in a better team than one in Scotland and he’d surprise a lot people.
