It's amazing how your perception of a result can change with a last minute equaliser.
With a minute to go, a 1-0 defeat away from home in Europe isn't normally that bad a result.
But:-
Up until the 93rd minute we were absolutely honking.
No leadership.
No desire.
No hunger.
Half-hearted challenges.
Lack of quality all over the pitch.
Failure / Confidence to pass ourselves out of trouble.
Both FB's constantly exposed.
Lack of quality into the box.
Players playing for themselves rather than the team. No cohesion between players in areas of the pitch.
And then we got an equaliser from probably our first quality attack of the match.
And the type of ball into the box that strikers thrive off.
A 1-1 draw going into the second leg gives us a slight glimmer of hope and an opportunity to progress into the final qualifying round.
At this moment in time there is still more negatives than positives with the way we are playing.
But you are hoping with the introduction of Cerny, Propper and A. N. Others the team will become better balanced and more galvanised as the weeks go past.
Onwards and upwards to Motherwell at Hampden.

Honking? The only thing that’s honking is your post! We all know we need three maybe four new signings but financially that’s not possible until we get rid of a few so with that team it was a very positive team performance and result but let’s be negative about it.

Perception is in the mind of the beholder MPH, agreed we were not pretty to watch anywhere on the pitch, I worry we are asking a hell of a lot of Barron, but good luck to the lad.
Suddenly 1-1, 2 games played still unbeaten, still in all competitions, main striker scoring, 2 clean sheets.
Maybe I've taken too many painkillers today lol ?.

MPH, I Was only able to follow the game on the radio, but several times billy dodds and derek ferguson said that the performance/ workrate was a step up from the hearts game, they said the difference was like chalk and cheese. It sounded like we are still vulnerable to counter attacks at pace, just hoping the management will sort it out, hopefully with 2 or 3 more signings.

I thought we did okay, after Saturday I thought we might get battered but the introduction of Balogun helped settle the defence a bit and looking back Butland didn`t have too much to do, a couple of good saves but nothing out of the ordinary. We also created a few chances with McCausland hitting the post and Dessers head flick being the best of them, so it was an even game and a draw with second leg at home is a good result. Remember even Stevie Gs team were happy to get draws away from home in Europe.
