Ok so a new season has started and already the media has backed the Tims to win and I quote "it's going to take something special to topple them" John Collin's after only one game WTF . anyhoos onto the actual football and possibilities! As it stands and the players available it's unlikely we can actually win the league, we have no natural goal scorer. For many years they have always had brilliant strikers but to counteract that we had a brilliant defence, now however they have 'decent' strikers and we have no defence so based on that we are pretty screwed . However would never change my allegiance f"! ck no if we finish last I'd still follow, it's in the blood and can't be removed. A decent striker and we are almost sorted, we can deliver the ball but can't finish . and ok maybe a few beers into it ?? but "we welcome then chase" ??????.

He is not wrong as much as it stings it will be a massive shock if we win the league. We need a 2-3 windows to sort the mess out. Nothing conceded yet as you never know in football but we need a 6 a 10 and a 9 before the window and of good quality. For that to happen we need to see Hagi, Cantwell and Dessers leave probably a couple more too.
Issue being is there any real interest in our players!

Erm, at this stage they are absolutely going to win at a canter. Unless something massive changes.

TBH it’s deja vue from start of last season. They were going to win by a record margin etc etc according to ‘tic biased media and in the end we should have taken them in Jan / Feb and built a decent lead but the players we had then weren’t up for it. They haven’t changed personnel so what’s different in those terms. We are weaker in areas but they will be filled cost effectively.
Season is long and this month should show ambition in terms of new system and players
Not pessimistic just cautious.

How are they wrong? It's not just about one game, it's a number of variables.
1. No home ground to start the season.
2.Weaker team than last season
3. Lack of funds for transfers
4.Players who are past it still starting.
5. Continuing on with a weak captain.
6. No style of play, poor tactics, and horrendous football.
Also, we're going to need a lot more than a decent striker before we are "sorted".

They are going to lose at least one of hatate and I Reilly. Replacing that quality isn’t easy.
We are going to shut the current gap a little by the end of window with a full strength side out.
It’s going to take time no doubt but let’s just see where we are come end of the month.

- We have to play at a different ground for now. However we are allowed fans so hardly playing in an empty cauldron.
- In terms of weaker, we have same strikers, nigh on same defense, same keeper and Lundstram has moved on. Sounds very much the same to me in terms of personnel. Add Cerny and Pröpper and can argue we are getting stronger.
- Lack of funds? Think you’ll find it’s called fiscal responsibility. Any business that spends more than it takes in will not only get weaker but eventually go bust
(hmmm think that happened before).
- As for tactics and horrendous football, that’s a pretty arrogant statement. PC has won trophies in more than one country, is working the hand he’s been dealt and I feel knows plenty more than anyone on this site about football management.
- Weak Captain is a matter of opinion. Real question is whom ‘today’ can fill that roll.
Where I do agree is that we need more than striker to improve overall, and I believe that will come. Once we move players on we can bring new ones ‘the manager wants’ in and I believe you’ll see his style then.
