How would fans feel if we sold naming rights of ibrox or even the training ground? If some1 offered 10m a year would fans accept that to give more money to the manager. Personally I'm torn by the idea but if ibrox could be kept part of the name I think I'd be inclined to say yes.

OWS I’m not sure the sums we could demand for renaming the stadium would be enough to convince the majority of supporters, that's before we think of the name that we also might not be happy with. Training ground I’m not sure people would ever really grumble about but no idea of the sum that would be worth - assuming Murray Mints don’t sponsor it after the last Murray!

Call it whatever you like it’ll always be ibrox to us anyway. It’s finding someone to give us £10m a year that’s the issue.

If it brought in money to the club then go for it. It will always be ibrox to us and for that sort of money they can call it whatever they want. (Within reason) .

Similar to you I am torn by the idea. I hate the thought of Ibrox being called anything other than Ibrox. However, if we found someone who wanted to pay us £5m - £10m per year, how could we turn that down? Ibrox would always still be called Ibrox by all the fans regardless.

We are never getting 10m for naming rights. Which company is going to splash that amount on naming rights at a stadium in the spl?
Look, some fans need to live in the real world. Rangers are a big fish in tiny pond, who are not champions of the league we play in, and have been in the Champions league once in the last 13 years.
Also, I've just read that Spurs are looking for a figure of 15m for their stadium naming rights, so what can an SPL team expect if that's what an EPL expect?

I wouldn’t have a problem with it has been talked about before but whatever gets money in the coffers is good for me.

If we could get 10 millin a year, fill their boots, its always going to be Ibrox.
04 Aug 2024 19:58:30
I’m ok with it as it would always be Ibrox to me.
04 Aug 2024 19:58:48
It will always be ibrox for us supporters. No matter what sponsorship name would be given. If it earns the club money I'm fine with that.
04 Aug 2024 20:13:21
No chance we’d get anything like 10m for it.
04 Aug 2024 20:35:24
If that money was offered, the board would bite their hands off and rightly so, always be ibrox to supporters and some commentator saying irn bru park ain’t going to change it.

Was there not talk of this a while back, with some interested parties, I may be wrong, but sure there was.

Was depressed after weekend results, but 10mill a year for naming rights gave me a giggle ?.

Maybe some steel company will give us the money ?.

Hi Folks, as far as renaming the Stadium to raise funds, I'd be all for it, simple because if we don't change things drastically from the chaos we've created over the past decade, there won't be a Rangers or an Ibrox.
We have to rid ourselves of Court Cases and charlatans as soon as possible, all of which has left us with soft loans to keep us afloat, I asked before, we must have made in excess of £120 Million over the past 4 years from Europe alone, why are we still in the mess we're in.
If we don't sign a striker and an attacking Midfielder before the Kiev game, we also will need to get and additional funds again from The Europa League Group, and in conclusion renaming the Stadium if offered should be grabbed with both hands.

What’s the point you won’t get no adavantage, Celtic would just copy us and do the same.

There was fork, also we could simply raise revenue by increasing season tickets by say 50%. That would bring in 10 million a year
I’m sure those who don’t want a name change would prefer that.
