So looks like Tav is staying, probably.
I'm grateful to him for his service and efforts but IMO and most in here it seems it's time for him to move on.
I can't go another season with him taking every throw in, free kick, corner and penalty. And being caught out of position constantly. It's detrimental to the team.
He will cause us to concede goals. He is now a liability. He can't pass a ball, he doesn't have pace. He will be a weak link all season and PC is blind if he can't see that.
I just hope he is phased out and plays less and less. Or any legacy Tav may have been hoping to leave will be tarnished.

Good post mate and agree with it all. To tell you the truth i'd be really disappointed to see him start at the weekend. This was supposed to be a rebuild and end of an era.

Tav has been excellent for us and I rate him number 1 RB in my time as a supporter, though Stevens is a close call.
Most of the criticism he has had while playing for the famous has been ridiculous given his level of performance. But he is clearly on the decline and even his biggest fans should be able to see that.
He can still contribute, maybe start in 15 or so games this season but he is on too much money for that type of role in the squad.
P. S. The whole take every set piece thing has been doing my head in as well. CR7 can get away with that crap but Tav doing it is a nonesense.

If you're old enough to have seen Stevens, then Tav isn't even in the top 5 right backs we've had in that period. Behave saying he's the best! :)

I'm not trying to diminish what Tav as an individual has achieved. His phenomenal stats and personal accolades.
But like all footballers and sportsmen, father time catches up on you. If I were him I'd look for a nice warm climate and take my family away and enjoy the last few years in a less hostile environment than the goldfish bowl which is Glasgow. Much like big Conner.
He can comeback anytime for a testimonial. We look after our own and once a Ger always Ger. He stays on and struggles he will soon be ridiculed and I don't want that for him.

Raskin he scored 9 non penalties with 3 of those direct free kicks. Rest were penalties. His stats are heavily padded with penalties.

John if that is correct it would appear he is willing to just sit tight and take money wither playing or not which is his right as club gave him contract, even if we were to take low ball offer it would appear he would not consider leaving unless he gets pay off. agree with a few on here he is going to end up losing all respect he deserves and has errand during his time at club.
