What’s past is past, time to move on and stop talking about the “ press conference “ Lafferty is back and the fans have given him “no “ stick, but if that’s some people views then they are entitled to them, just as I’m Entitled to mine, if Naismith helps Rangers to get back to where they where he’s entitled to a break, just an opinion guys.

09 Oct 2018 17:54:10
SAid it all along I would welcome Naismith back he’s a quality player and would be an excellent addition to the squad. We can’t dwell in the past and yes the interview wasn’t great but I’m a true believer that everybody deserves a second chance.

09 Oct 2018 18:21:15
He is also well past his best. We need much better than him and people are setting the bar very low wanting him back. He has had this day.

09 Oct 2018 18:57:24
arthur the same debates were being talked about kyle laff before he came back and he has and will still do a great job in future, naisy will do a job here maybe not a starter but would do a right good turn let bygons be bygons and welcome the wee man back if he can and will make us a stronger unit and help us stop the puddle drinkers making 9 in a row.

09 Oct 2018 20:58:54
I agree about him being past his best. And big Lafferty was never that great anyway so not really fussed about him tbh.

09 Oct 2018 21:00:23
Queens11

He isn’t good enough and done next to nothing on Sunday. We can get far better than him. He has had his time and won’t be back unless he is an opposing player. Wish people would stop harping on about him he is the past.

09 Oct 2018 21:11:42
Agreed lads, Naismith no longer good enough for what is required, Lafferty is a good squad filler but if we are going shopping from now on then it has to be for better than we have, the squad is big enough IMO.

09 Oct 2018 21:16:51
seeker if it wasnt for big kyle we would have come away with nothing in spain against a good villareal side usaully agree with your posts but disagree here.

10 Oct 2018 00:00:01
Lafferty is a good alternative to morelos, and, in my opinion, is the reason morelos has kicked on. Lafferty has 4 goals since he came in. All good goals and morelos knows he has to perform well to stay in the team. Just like everyone else.

10 Oct 2018 00:05:48
And I'm not discounting gerrards influence btw but I think lafferty has had a big part to play as well.

10 Oct 2018 06:36:03
Yes Ulsterman, the past IS in the past so that, for me, includes naismith. We paid his wages for two years while he was injured and got him the best treatment available only for him to plot a way out in our time of need leaving a sh&te on our doorstep for others to clean up and now he's sorry, I bet he is.

10 Oct 2018 06:53:59
Queens11. Fair enough point about Spain. I just think that he was never that great tbh. I wasn"t a fan the first time and always thought he only decided to knuckle down coming up to contract negotiations time. And the Mulgrew 'head butt' reaction was embarrassing.

10 Oct 2018 07:17:12
Personally speaking folks I would try another route for a striker. Naismith gives his all but we are a club building a future within Scottish football. I want our club to be a force to reckon with again and going back for ex players is not my idea of trying to achieve it. German market for me for a striker and possibly an attacking midfielder in January. Thoughts?

10 Oct 2018 11:23:23
Now that the club is in a better place we should be setting the bar higher than Naismith. I've no time for him I'll admit but I think there are better players out there than him that would walk to Ibrox to play for SG.

09 Oct 2018 17:21:20
Turns out that the gersstoreonline is nothing to do with rangers - just phoned ibrox there and they're saying don’t buy from the website because the money is not going to rangers. they said to buy from jd sports and the megastore when the shop is stocked.

Statement from the club coming on the tops.

09 Oct 2018 19:07:43
Very strange, especially considering the official rangers website was actively promoting the online store.

09 Oct 2018 22:37:57
Ashley?

09 Oct 2018 23:41:14
If that is the case why are they advertising it on the official website then.

09 Oct 2018 16:56:18
Just thinking about what SG has done in 1 single transfer window and it's nothing shy of remarkable. I understand it's early days but it's not just on the pitch that things have improved it's everything. There's such a great buzz about the club just now and it's a joy to go watch week in week out which had been so badly missing. Things definitely on the up and I for 1 really hope we can keep a hold of him for a long time. Memories like what he's experiencing don't fade over night and I can't wait for 55. What's everyone's thoughts?

09 Oct 2018 23:56:05
We think he is doing an amazing job too, 8 games in and already 5 points off the top keep it up Honey G.

10 Oct 2018 08:47:33
rayman99

Don’t forget being unbeaten in Europe something which your mob hasn’t been able to achieve.

10 Oct 2018 10:36:29
Arthur, why I engage in conversation with them.

10 Oct 2018 18:09:49
The European thing is interesting as all of you said that was the bonus but the league was priority.
Your not going to win Europa league but potentially could win the SPFL, which of course is a lot easier, so its ok if the priority is not going well?

11 Oct 2018 08:32:35
New project rayuan, he's had to start from scratch 14 new players in one window, there were always going to be ups and downs. From a realistic fans point of view, I think we have had a harder round of fixtures in league than you so to be only 2 points behind and unbeaten in Europe, in my eyes it's been a better than expected start. Livi aside of course.

09 Oct 2018 15:44:29
Good to see fellow Rangers supporters would accept Naismith back, sensible guys, as Naismith is a good footballer and that’s what really counts, we must get back the pride of being the best in Scotland and beyond and his talent would help that cause.

09 Oct 2018 16:25:30
Obviously Ulsterman you forget that press conference? 🇬🇧.

09 Oct 2018 16:40:25
Don't know who you've been talking to but I don't want him anywhere near us. His time has come and gone. Simply not good enough anymore.

09 Oct 2018 17:02:07
I don’t want him back either according to him the club died so why would we want someone back who had said that?

09 Oct 2018 17:23:11
He isn’t any better than what we have, and we don’t want him anywhere near us after what he did.
I know for a fact he was one of the chief instigators in trying to get everyone away when the proverbial hit the fan back in the bad days.
He isn’t that good anyway.

09 Oct 2018 18:20:05
He plays for hearts and is a Norwich player. He will not be back.

09 Oct 2018 18:27:35
I agree with colster and ArthurD! I don't want that rat stevie naismith anywhere near glasgow rangers, ever again! Don't want him, don't need him, move on!

09 Oct 2018 19:21:14
Double standards here, McGregor and Lafferty every bit as guilty as Naismith. Based on his current form and experience Naismith could do a shift for us but personally I don’t think it will happen. Let’s drop all this nonsense about a press conference.

09 Oct 2018 19:44:23
No double standards.
During his prolonged injury he and Davy Weir were engineering an exit; The situation played into their hands.

09 Oct 2018 20:16:01
Bankie, neither any of the players you mentioned had a press conference stating the club no longer existed.
To this day I don’t know why he had that press conference and he is a RAT! 🇬🇧.

09 Oct 2018 21:01:50
Right guys disgusting wee person. Listen to that press conference again if you can stand it.

09 Oct 2018 21:06:11
Banker

Maybe I missed something but I don’t recall either McGregor or Lafferty holding a press conference and declaring the club dead. Maybe you can send a link where they did? Supercooper is spot on he is a rat who isn’t good enough anymore. We don’t need him.

09 Oct 2018 23:57:25
So you castigate him for actually telling the TRUTH.

10 Oct 2018 06:30:42
Here here yately1! Naismith is a little rat! For you rayman 99, or should it be rayban 99?Nice to see your still living, never heard a peep out of you on here, 'till your tainted team won 6-zip at the weekend, against the mighty st. johnstone! By the way, how's your tainted club doing in europe? HAHA little man! Gerrard is stopping the tainted title holders from winning 10 in a row! Mark it in your diary OBSESSED!

11 Oct 2018 08:36:23
Rayban 99 🙈🙈you need to work on your insults. coop that was so poor 😂😂😂😂. All in the past with naismith for me, simply wouldn't have him back as there are loads better we can get at this stage.

09 Oct 2018 15:42:27
Very happy with the way things are going this season, our away form will improve starting at Hamilton, in SG we trust. Welcome back Barry Scott onto the Board, got to say, he'll 'Clean things up'. with a bang.
