Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

09 Nov 2016 21:44:30
Evening guys, just a quick point, is it me only who would not be bothered if waghorn was sold in January, for me he was good last year b4 injury but at lower level, this year looks unfit and less mobile and rumours of disharmony with warburton, couple of others in same bracket?

09 Nov 2016 23:36:58
Shadow for me I'd take anything above £800k for him as I think we have more with Garner as he has more bite about him and doesn't hide ( maybe not as prolific as Waggy in the championship but it's a different league ) and to be fair Waggy had a lot of penalties in his tally! We need to look at better options in January as a CF as no matter how much I love and respect Kenny for why he brings to our great club we need more! Wither we can get this in January or ride it out and hope second place is ours ( I only hope ) but I don't think Waggy is our future even though he got us into this league!

10 Nov 2016 03:59:30
Waghorn was great last season, but I agree with you guys. He has been a shadow of himself since his injury and doesn't seem to have it in the SPFL.

Never had a bad word for Miller but I also see that after this year he would really be pushing it and so we need to push Garner and Dodoo more.

I think we are still lacking defensively.

Hill has done ok, Hodson looks OK, Tav is ok, Wallace isn't a captain but is ok and kiernan and Wilson can't play together for me.

I would be happier securing a solid CB in January and look to Garner and Dodoo for the other end.

10 Nov 2016 04:52:40
Blackwood, honestly if we were offered 300k would you turn it down? I can't remember if Wags was a free or a 300k transfer?
So yeah either way the lad just can't play on the wing which he is being asked to do on more occasions than i'd want so for me its time for him to go he's not made the step up. Thinking if he did clash with the manager it would have been over exactly this, prob said that he wants the central role then got peeved when Warbs told him nah maybe now and again.

09 Nov 2016 23:20:16
I truly hope, these now more frequent stories, about mark warburton having lost the dressing room, are totally unfounded as the stories about a falling out with waggy is gathering some pace. I fully back warbs to the hilt but i do understand that if A manager does lose the dressing room then it only ends one way. The manager loses his job! I've been reading some posts tonight of rangers fans wanting sam allardyce brought in as the new rangers manager.

I personally don't think there's any hope in hell on rangers getting sam allardyce as the next manager. Be realistic fellow bears to where we are as a club just now. Does any bear in their right mind seriously think that there's any hope of sam allardyce being the rangers manager anytime soon? Although i do rate big sam myself i'must a realistic and its never going to happen!

09 Nov 2016 17:42:30
Hello fellow bears I believe in warburton but it's being stretched at the minute something has got to change weather it be system or the players he keeps picking. Bartons gone krancjar might as well be gone and as much as we all adore there are others that don't belong in the team such as miller halliday holt and mckay it's time we seen crooks hodson dodoo ohallaron from the start blended in with rossiter garner windass tavernier Wallace there is no point in talking about the centre half's because I feel none of them belong in a rangers shirt this could be adressed in January if it does then 2nd place is a real possibility. The formation must change also even the bottom placed team in the league were wise to it on Sunday
My team going forward would be 4-2-3-1

Gilks hodson kiernan hill Wallace
Rossiter crooks
Dodoo ohallaren windass

Garner.

09 Nov 2016 17:58:30
rossiter and crooks? would only play one and then either holt/ halliday. dodoo is the biggest disappointment of all our signing for me, such a soft player really needs to knuckled own.

09 Nov 2016 18:36:18
Its heartwarming to see you pick 5/ 6 players who are not certain starters.
This tells us even YOU don't rate your own players, something we have been telling you for a while.
At the start of the season you believed (and there were many on here) that you would win the league.
How times have changed in such a short space of time, and now your starting to doubt the magic hat.
Its taking time but you will see the light.

09 Nov 2016 20:31:39
Cee- your criticism of Dodoo is totally unfair. The boy only gets occasional minutes to try to work wonders, so he is never on long enough to have any impact. Warburton needs to start with him to give him a fair crack at it, same can be said for a few others, that is why the biggest problem we have is Warburton himself.

09 Nov 2016 21:12:43
every time he has Came on he's ran about like a big fairy against celtic he wouldn't even go in for 50/ 50s he has shown absolutely nothing in a rangers jersey.

10 Nov 2016 00:07:25
Cee I totally agree with you. I said the same to a friend the other day. I also think garner will be found out to be bad business for 1.8 I would personally preferred tom bradshaw but that's my opinion.

10 Nov 2016 04:09:19
Garner, Hodson was a bomb scare in the game where he played instead of Tavernier. He is another that is not Rangers class. The truth is that right now it is difficult to find a starting eleven that have the quality, the passion, and the winning mentality.

We don't know what Crooks is like, he might be good but we have yet to see him play and sadly Rossiter appears to be totally injury prone.

We have a bunch of nancy boys; not one of them would last 10 seconds with Souness.

10 Nov 2016 07:35:20
I love how people on here desert those that play and give their all for boys that are only known in name as they can't get fit. Glad to see the back o Barton not fussed about Kranjcar, but all this clamour to replace Holt and halliday who in my opinion are our best players and give their all, Kenny Miller is outstanding. rossiter and crookes where are you on the sick until they produce they are just here say.

10 Nov 2016 07:49:18
I am willing to give dodoo time but as a starter he hasn't earned it.

10 Nov 2016 08:58:11
Gary75

What has Holt done since returning to the side?

10 Nov 2016 10:08:00
I would like to see dodoo get run as main striker. I'm sure that was position he played before he came to us. The guy hasn't had enough time on park to be judged would like him to get decent run in side.

10 Nov 2016 10:32:40
I have faith that when Rossiter and Crooks get themselves fit they'll be good players for us, but I can't see it in Dodoo. Only my opinion but he just looks another poser who's feart of getting tackled. Hope he proves me wrong, but I definitely wouldn't pick him in the starting XI.

10 Nov 2016 10:54:47
In future if we have a game like the one against Killie 3-0 after 49min then that's when Warbs should introduce the likes of Dodoo AND have another youngster on bench to giv him a chance as early as poss thinkin Serg Ataki it would be good for the supporters to see and sends a good message no more Wags comin on and as I said put them on as soon as the game seems in our grip and yeah Crooks Rossiter crowd need to be seeing these guys soon.

09 Nov 2016 14:59:30
Will we ever find out whether Barton was in the wrong or if he was just demanding improvement? Probably not.
Glad he's off the wage bill if he's not playing, but can't help but think he's the type of player we're missing. I know he didn't perform fantastically at the start of the season, but imo I wouldn't say he played any worse than anyone else in the squad currently is performing! What a waste of talent and opportunity. Can only hope management are wiser for it in future transfer windows.

09 Nov 2016 17:45:43
Never like to hear about disharmony within squad BUT this one could have a silver lining, according to Ibrox Noise Warbs and Wags have had a falling out. Now imo Warbs really rates Wags but after the past 2 months I have lost faith in him and again imo I think Warbs would keep him at Ibrox unless a very decent bid came in so I'm hoping that this skirmish if true does help Warbs decide to let him go! I can only imagine the Wags has said to Warbs he cannot play down the wing (NO SH#T) and he wants the middle I don't know why he persists with Wags even from bench if a player cannot contribute at all from that position then he must go. Dunno what the rest of u guys think but I'd accept anything over 300k I know its low but with him and JB gone it gives us more finances to use in January. Thoughts Bears.

09 Nov 2016 19:48:25
The rumour doing the rounds is Waghorn will be sold in January to bring some cash in as we are skint.

09 Nov 2016 20:31:42
Andy I'd let him go as well, he doesn't look sharp at all but I'd hope for a bit more than 300k.

10 Nov 2016 06:14:00
Would it be OTT to display a banner at Ibrox to get our point across to Warbs? A message that conveys our worry about the team system and that we don't want to see him go? Don't see the point in a threatening change or your off banner as I think most managers would and could not respond to that. If like me you like Warbs his attacking football building from the back possession who doesn't but this can still be implemented in a different system.
I truly believe we have a squad that can beat every team in the League well with the exception of Brenda's bunch who we could give a game but he's asking the players to do something that's beyond them which makes a good bunch of players look bad. Posted earlier but it is true that top teams with star players struggle to play this system. Again dunno if this idea is duff but I think the lads know they could play better and get the results and its knocking their confidence it must be.
F#CK KNOWS! Any thoughts Bears.

09 Nov 2016 10:42:54
So looks like I owe some folk an apology and time to eat some humble pie.

I was on here moths ago saying Barton will dominate, etc etc.
I can't say anymore than I'm delighted that tosser has left our club. What an embarrassment of a guy. Good on the Rangers board for not accepting his s**t and showing him the door. Would have been so easy for them to back down because he is a big earner.
Good riddance!

09 Nov 2016 11:43:10
Bit harsh calling him a tosser for what telling a few home truths. yes he shouldn't have questioned the managers defensive tactics with the reported foul mouth language in front of his team mates, i remember a story from a Brentford player last season also pointing this out that the management were defensively clueless didn't work on set plays ect so please for the love of god stop hiding behind its all bartons fault.

09 Nov 2016 11:52:19
harlee dean was trying to adjust the blame, Brentford have hardly improved since he left have they.

09 Nov 2016 12:15:54
He's certainly dominated the backpages.

09 Nov 2016 12:45:07
Good to see that Barton out the door and if understand correctly only being paid up to end of December 2016.

09 Nov 2016 13:49:08
The great mystery is why he was signed. Warburton's mantra from day 1 has been 'must add value on and off the pitch' and every report I've read by a former player or manager who knew Barton spoke of his dressing room outbursts, likening them to a sudden personality change. Management must have done its homework and known the history of the player.

09 Nov 2016 13:49:10
Where is everyone getting this "Barton only told a few home truths" bo****ks from?
How many of you actually know what was said?

09 Nov 2016 14:01:24
Agree I have no idea what was actually said. Would love to know but really just delighted to see back if this unhinged character.

09 Nov 2016 14:04:41
the media report it, it must be true bluegenius lol.

09 Nov 2016 14:25:23
I'm getting this few home truths statement from bartons mouth when he spoke with jim white on talksport as all Rangers say is "can't comment".

09 Nov 2016 15:12:16
Calling him a tosser is a polite way of talking about him! Will not speak another word about the cretin.

09 Nov 2016 16:46:28
Too many people on hear are hanging judges reaching a guilty verdict on the basis of zero information or reputation. That is simply not on. There is a version of the story emanating from within Murray Park that, yes, Barton was bang out of order and deserved disciplined, but two other players were equally vocal and the manager was not without fault either. All staff were told to stay stum on penalty of discipline if the media quoted a source from within. The aim was to get Barton off the books at zero cost, but that failed as he was not prepared to be made the scapegoat and had the support of the players union. Hence the reasons for the continuous suspensions. He also reputedly refused to accept a gagging clause in the deal unless he received the bulk of his contractual pay-off and the deal was reported as by mutual consent. All this because the Club did not have undisputed grounds for dismissal on gross misconduct, not least because they put the story in the public domain but tried to silence Barton, which is NOT acceptable HR practice.
Now, I know no more than anyone else about what the truth is, but I am not prepared to castigate Barton on the basis of zero information.
I do believe that the whole matter was badly handled, as such as Souness and McCann have stated and that there is certainly a view both at Brentford and amongst some players within the our dressing room that Warburton is not the greatest man manager, plays favourites and is inherently stubborn
Everyone has faults and I never did buy into the " magic" nonsense. Warburton is very much a journeyman manager and one performance from his team in the last six months surely proves that.

09 Nov 2016 20:14:07
Think the point most people are missing is that the arguement or whatever wasnt the only issue. If it was and he apoligised we may have moved on. But facts we do know are that he broke sfa rules on betting and then continued to bad mouth the club whilst suspended. When u combine it all within 2 months at the club it had to be the end.

09 Nov 2016 21:08:59
So did Ian black he actually bet against us so that arguement doesn't stand up.

10 Nov 2016 07:52:16
Well done Joseph mission accomplished.

09 Nov 2016 10:06:43
Hillary is now available if you require a new manager.

09 Nov 2016 11:32:21
Hillary is great at killing those off who stand in her way. She could be useful.

09 Nov 2016 12:16:48
She's also great at coming second, which seems to be the new target for you all.

09 Nov 2016 12:53:04
Thats comedy gold right there! Lol.

09 Nov 2016 17:41:49
Have to hold my hands up to TTTS and TPP's comments, best laughs I've had all day.

09 Nov 2016 08:54:31
There are 2 types of lunatics in football. The Gazza's and the Barton's. Alteast we once got to be entranced by the lunatic gazza.

Bye Bye Joey, its been interesting, but am afraid your aggressive style football has been found out in an aggressive style league.

09 Nov 2016 11:18:11
Or maybe Gazza just had a manager that can man manage?
That doesn't surround himself with yes men and will take a vocal challenge head on from players when necessary?

09 Nov 2016 11:42:44
Gazza had more of a father figure than a manager in walter.

09 Nov 2016 11:53:22
Walter Smith was hardly a saint as a manager fs.

09 Nov 2016 21:12:11
Nobody said he was but all the players loved him. More importantly yhey respected him and would have ran through brick walls for him, don't think we can say the same now actually looks like a few have downed tools.

09 Nov 2016 20:01:18
Big difference in talent and likability here fintytint. Paul gascoigne had a heart of gold and was an absolute genius of a footballer, a one off, total maverick and imo the greatest footballer to ever have the privilege, of playing for glasgow rangers. Gazza was world class whereas barton is merely on the borderline of international class! Gascoigne was a loveable rogue! Simple as that!

Although Gazza always said he was so proud to have played for glasgow rangers, i as a 'gers supporter of well over 40 years would say back that i'm proud to say to this day that paul gascoigne played for the football club i love and support. So thank YOU paul gascoigne and GOD BLESS! Wonderful memories!

09 Nov 2016 08:53:40
£250k pay off for Barton

Good deal after 10 times that among quoted - let move on to new signings in January the spine of the team?

09 Nov 2016 10:46:55
I don't know where people get their figures from lol.

09 Nov 2016 12:54:15
@Cee Eh! The news?

09 Nov 2016 14:05:50
what news is that? the beano?

09 Nov 2016 07:44:40
The only thing Barton has done since signing on at rangers is steal a wage, underperform and make a laughing stock of himself.
It still makes me laugh that he thought he was going to be the best player in Scottish football. He wasn't even the best player in the youth squad and then signed off on the sick. What a complete and utter dooshbag.

09 Nov 2016 17:48:31
total tool, I really thought he would have been a standout up here but how wrong can I be lol.
