From The Rangers Standard website. True story! PMSL?

9. What do you say to those fans who think fan ownership of Rangers is impossible because of our apparent tendency to fall out?

Did you all have a fall out between Feb and June and in the process lost your club to liquidation?!?

Honestly, you lot are like a fine malt, you get better and better, give more pleasure and enjoyment as time goes on. Keep it up Sevconians!

Just a sensible post having been on hee a couple of seasons (suffering)... to me it seems we both, Gers and Tims , have a majority of good intelligent fairminded fans... hence the compliments to tims for beating Barca... however we both have still got a lunatic fringe of bitter B*******S that will never change... WHAT I REALLY NOTICED from recent trip up for Queens Park game AND watching the Barca game, the SONGS are changing, I hardly recognised a song during the Barca match and glad to say no 'RA 'RA songs and they all seemed to about Celtic and non secterian sadly (for us) none even mentioning our plight...Rangers too with the Blue Sea and the Singing Section are cleaning up their act..... What I am hoping might have happened us being forced apart for 3 years we could see e mew era for TRUE fans of Gers and Celtic where there is a mutual respect and the pathetic bitter bigotry slowly recedes with my sons generation not even caring about the religous S***E.... maybe it willl maybe I am wrong but if that alone happens after the worst period of my life supporting the Gers 45 years then it will be worth it, the true fans on here that have praised Celtics win and the good natured intelligent tims like green jhedi and Timalloy are my hope we can rebuild our TWO teams from uouth up to maybe get back to the sixties glory teams... Lennon, Ajax and Dortmond have shown you do not need billions just look at Ajax and Man City gives us all hope... lastly please let idiots at SFA get Strachan or Walter ASAP before we sink any lower...... WATP still george

Believable21 Unbelievable13

Excellent points about the singing - hope it's true and continues.

Agree11 Disagree2

Ach George, do we need sensible posts in here? I preferred it when Michael Laudrup was seemingly a Ger and when 3 points on a plastic pitch were less meaningful than 3 points on grass.

In all seriousness I'm delighted the party songs are dying out at Celtic Park, never did sing them, never will.

Gaz

Agree12 Disagree3

There will always be a moron element within both sets of fans who will try to take us backwards. I would love for the religious or bigoted nonsense to stop, it's not gone but it's definitely improving. Nearly all of us have friends who either support Rangers or Celtic, and we live and work together. My extended family supports both Rangers and Celtic, I would never dream of being bigoted or using sectarian language towards them, so why do it any other time, especially at a football match. You only live once, we should try and live together in peace and with respect. bigbaz

Agree12 Disagree2

Why were the Celtic fans singing 'Zombie nation' on Wednesday night then? {The Ed039's Note - Whats bigoted or sectarian about that?)

Agree11 Disagree8

Beware what you wish for, when you get back to the top scottish league it appears, hearts, motherwell and several others will have sunk without a trace.

how will this help gers hit any heights, as if that comes true - cant see sky ever wanting to seriously fund a league with highland teams, cos all others gone bust....

Agree7 Disagree4

09 Nov 2012 21:06:15
George I don't think anyone will agree calling me "intelligent", (not even Mrs T lol)
But I agree the atmosphere on Wednesday was awesome and no dodgy songs.
Fate sometimes plays a marvellous hand, to celebrate our 125 th birthday, the best team in the world visited Celtic Park. Karma.
George what are your thoughts on RFC share issue?
Do you think you all can trust Green? Timalloy

Agree7 Disagree7

Great post George, hope it gets through to both sets of fans can only be good for both clubs and Scottish football in general.

Zombie nation isn't sectarian or bigoted. It's called banter. You hardly want us to hold hands and have no rivalry...do you?

Agree13 Disagree4

@4 Ed's right, only in your sectarian bigoted mind, thank god for all the sensible post's on here regarding bigotry and sectarianism. At the end of the day we ALL come in and go out of this world the same way
Tam

Agree9 Disagree3

Nice to see a sensible post backed by some sensible replies. There is a huge difference between banter and bigotry. And between rivalry and hatred. Well done boys! (Withheld the urge to put an H in boys). Nice to see some zombies have brains, they don't just eat them. Lol (see banter)

Shuggy

Agree3 Disagree1

Here here op. Let's hope it continues to be banter and non sectarian.

Agree0 Disagree0

4.) Why were the Celtic fans singing 'Zombie nation' on Wednesday night then? {The Ed039's Note - Whats bigoted or sectarian about that?)

Ed check the OP I didn't say it was sectarian or bigoted, but the OP said "none even mentioning our plight". Point is they still focus on Rangers even during a success of their own. {The Ed039's Note - I misread that, my apologies)

i should feel sorry for hearts but when rangers were demoted.i looked on their site and they bile and hatred towards rangers ive not forgotten.karmas a bitch

Believable19 Unbelievable5

Its not going to happen though. Vlad will lend Hearts £450,000 at 4.5% through his bank Ubig costing the club £20,000 odd extra in interest a year until its sold off in order in order to clear the current tax bill unless of course he is able to extort the money out of fans first. {The Ed039's Note - No chance is Mad Vlad putting anymore money in, he has already withdrawn financial support for Hearts. Plus Hearts are already something to the tune of £20 million in debt to his bank or companies owned by him)

Agree7 Disagree2

ED,we will see who is right on monday

Agree2 Disagree1

I'm afraid it is still very much on the cards. If they get some cash flow it won't stop the leak. I think administration is inevitable in the not too distant future.

What is going on with the Scottish press? Celtic had a great result against Barca with the coverage from the Record & Sun today ( I deliberately missed out on the papers yesterday to avoid all their glorification) being well over the top, especially with the trouble going on at Hearts. The Sun had seven pages and a pullout and the Record with ten, yes ten pages all about the saviour's of Scottish football. I should have purchased a 'Celtic View' magazine instead, anyway no more newspapers for me until Rangers win a Champions League match. Geo the Ger

Believable29 Unbelievable21

The only reason they have that much coverage is that it is the ONLY positive football story in scotland. It may not be your cup of tea but most nuetrals dont mind

Agree19 Disagree18

You'll be a long time without a paper then Geo the ger!
Celtics result was incredible!
Scottish football needs to feel good about itself after the sins of Rangers, and the embarrassing, devastation they have caused...........kbt1978

Agree20 Disagree21

You said it all op - well done. It's a pity you can't buy a daily newspaper all about Rangers and Hearts.

Agree14 Disagree8

Whats rangers champions league record at home?anyone know?

Agree12 Disagree5

Get over it geo we all know too many tims now work in the national sporting press.

Agree11 Disagree11

Hello Hello No 4.) What's Celtic's Champions League record away, on grass? Anyone know? P.S. Remember qualifiers don't count unless your desperate. Geo the Ger

Agree11 Disagree11

Good for you op will you be nipping down to the shop on your hover board or just download it on windows 28 ??

Agree9 Disagree7

@6: you really are bitter differentiating between games on grass or not. Grow up, sad so-and-so.

Agree9 Disagree5

Congratulations Geo the Ger, winner of the Most pathetic caveat ever award. While I understand your reluctance to acknowledge non-grass pitches (If I'm correct that would nullify a certain Stirling Albion result) I'm quite sure UEFA don't have an asterisk on Group G saying *These three points don't count it was on a plastic pitch.

Pathetic, Dumb and Futile, you have a PDF named in your honour Geo, well done.

Agree9 Disagree7

No 6 whats your clubs away record on grass ?

Agree7 Disagree2

@5. Care to expand on that statement ?

Agree5 Disagree3

Geo the Ger continuing to let your club down. Im sure this deluded man does not share the views of the majority of Rangers fans and he is just a pathetic, bitter individual who is still living in the 90s, hopefully reality will catch up with him soon.

G93

Agree6 Disagree5

@1 The only positive story in scottish football is Rangers getting their act together after being hamstrung financially.
smeltics is a one week story. Not even Spanish Champions.

Agree6 Disagree9

@13: you're right, Celtic (shame you can't type it) aren't Spanish champions. Barca are but why should that make a difference?

Agree3 Disagree1

@13 Celtic beat the best team in the world, a team worth hundreds of millions, won 3 CL titles in 7 years, 2 semi finals in that time, best player in the world for the last few years( probably ever), numerous World Cup and Euro winners, playing their strongest possible team, lose to our 13 players who cost an eath-shattering £8 million all in, but nah I suppose having a compulsive liar of a CEO claiming The Rangers are "externally debt free" while rushing through a share issue is what is giving Scotland some dignity again after your old club ruined whatever reputation we had before they died. And if you ask the whole of Europe and possibly now the majority of the world, it's spelled, CELTIC.

G93

Agree7 Disagree4

@13. 7 Points clear in best league in the world, greatest start to a league campaign by any Spanish team EVER. And current World Club Championship holders.
Your right, they are no that good eh...lol

Joeshmo1888

Agree5 Disagree3

The tabloid press did go overboard today, not even a cup final win by any other club, bar Rangers, I think, would've commanded such coverage. Unprecedented. The west coast bias was all too clear today. In case you don't know the Jambos are in financial trouble.

Agree8 Disagree1

Replying to Tim at No 11 are you for real when bears were winning nearly everything your mob were crying non stop about no getting a fair deal in media and press cos it was full of bluenoses. ok WATP

Agree7 Disagree2

Bloody hell, some of the attempted point-scoring, jealousy, stupid caveats, allegations of conspiracy to let celtic win...it's pathetic. Is this how it's going to play out from now on? Rangers used to level allegations of paranoia at celtic fans. Given what we now know about the club formerly known as rangers, it seems we weren't paranoid enough. But I'll tell you something...in the bitterness and paranoia stakes, Sevco fans are blazing a trail to entirely new regions. Enjoy another march to administration and I'll enjoy some more champions league football at the home of the famous celtic football club, 125 years of history and still going strong.

Agree9 Disagree5

I have to say (as a tic follower) I think the reaction is way OTT. We won a game and got 3 points (great result against arguably the best team in the world right now) but if we blow it in the next 2 games then it means nothing. The reaction is like we won the CL for godness sake. We have a good chance of qualifying but what will it be like if we meet Barca again and get humped 6-0 (not a pessimist and realist)

Agree2 Disagree0

Celtic fans to a man don't like to hear the truth. The Scottish press did go overboard with the coverage. One tabloid had, believe it or not, 15 pages praising their victory. Remember this was the second day after the match. If they beat Benfica away in their next match, I shudder to think of the coverage then.

Agree4 Disagree1

@5 Please drag yourself into the 21st century.

Agree1 Disagree1

@ 21 if you base it on the reaction of your own club beating motherwell in the league cup then how can you say beating the best team in the world is over reacting

Agree0 Disagree0

They are not the best team in the world!!! Not even the current champs of their own league.

With the situation at heart as it is i feel for the behind the scenes;match day staff, kit man etc. as for the players they will do as ours done nd desert the club, directors already filled their pockets with cash. And for their supporters all i can say is best of luck nd let sporting integrety be with you.
Ps hope your player wages are on time next week...tic toc.

being rumoured the pars calling an emergancy meeting and motherwell to go part time !! {The Ed039's Note - First I've heard, I wouldnt think Motherwell would go part time when they would be hit with court proceedings from players on full time contracts. I think its a load of tosh some of whats doing the rounds)

Believable6 Unbelievable11

Hi ed, spoke to a motherwell fan this morning in work, and they said they heard this rumour and has been going about for 2 weeks now !!

Agree4 Disagree13

All clubs will need to tighten belts as with any other company in the UK and far beyond. the economic climate is dismal at the moment but clubs will survive with operating within their means, I don't believe the motherwell rumour at all

Agree6 Disagree2

Yep I heard this one to. They have enough to keep them going until end of November. Then they are skint Motherwell has suffered more than most with Sh,t attendances they are going to have meeting with players saying they agree to part time or the club folds this isn't rubbish ed this is the inevitable happening what comes around goes around let's see how the rest cope when they have to face the same truths as us rangers fans have sorry days but this has been coming for a long time

Agree4 Disagree4

Ed039..what exactly does going 'part time' mean ?

There is no change in the income to SPL clubs this season except the 2 visits by rangers (or 1 dependant on fixtures and the split) {The Ed039's Note - as in the opposite of full time, part time work, part time wages. Basically semi professional)

Agree0 Disagree0

Supporters wise there is only room for 1 lanakshire team, would be a decent amount if they all merged hamilton airdrie and motherwell, I know this will never happen and I distrust people who change their team when times are bad just a thought

Agree0 Disagree1

To f@5 that would leave 2 teams them because the mighty albion rovers are there too

Hearts have said liquidation would be the end.
Rangers were liquidated on 12 June 2012.
What makes the Rangers situation any different?

Believable21 Unbelievable7

09 Nov 2012 07:58:02
Maybe because theres nobody to come in and save Herts? The obsession continues...........

Agree9 Disagree19

Liquidation for hearts would be the same as it was for gretna they would disappear forever. The problem is Scottish football is Sh,t and celtics performances in the CL won't change that it's a two team league and they two teams ain't even in the same league that's how Sh,t Scottish football is. Why would someone want to come in and chuck 20/30 mil at hearts when rangers struggled to get someone to chuck 5mil at them. Many more teams will follow unless drastic reconstruction happens. And I know all you of a green persuasion will hate this but that includes having rangers back in the top division next season. And before you start going crazy this is what the SPL wanted to happen including Celtic. We didn't we are happy where we are we will survive but many others won't

Agree20 Disagree18

It wont happen, Admin with point deduction will.

Agree7 Disagree3

Look stop blaming the SPL it's the bad management and lust for success that has brought this on. There is nothing wrong with the smaller clubs fighting above their weight for years the smaller clubs had executives from their clubs running the different associations in Scotland with their own agendas this has not helped football up here
I hate to say this but without Rangers or Celtic because of their fan base the whole of Scottish football would be finished. Aberdeen know this and fair play to them did something about it, it was hard on their fans but they are seeing the progress now.
Rangers old management got caught up in this madness to emulate Celtic and our club has paid the price. Now we are almost debt free ( though don't like the way it was done ) we Should with sensible management get back to where we should be. Celtic were never anywhere near the state we were in, their board at that time were greedy and irresponsible but that was overcome as I am sure we will eventually. For to long Scottish Football has been forced down a road by smaller teams stopping the progress. The media didn't highlight this their agenda also being greed to sell papers etc. I hope Hearts recover but a share issue to pay PAYE and VAT is not the way to go. The Scottish Goverment paid a fortune for a commission to investigate the running of our football. It was all hot air, the clubs have to do it within themselves as Aberdeen and Partick, Ross County in the lower divisions I'm sure there are others, that money spent on the commission could have been put to better use. For the sake of Scottish football lets get our act together. There are lots of good young footballers about give them a chance.
Some say the smaller clubs produce these players and the bigger clubs buy them up so what!. That has always been the case and keeps the economy of the game rotating. The big clubs if they are good enough will make money in Europe and a lot of this money will make it's way back to the lower leagues. The SPL benefited this year and if Celtic advance further will make more this year which in turn helps Scottish football. The main problem with the game in Scotland there are to many small minded poeple with a self interest. ( rant over )
Bobby

Agree11 Disagree4

Who's next? It's looking more and more inevitable that other teams who are struggling financially, are about to follow hearts. There is a Mega Tsunami heading towards Scottish football, the SFA need to show some leadership NOW and restructure our game. I fear though that it's too little, too late and this is just the beginning of the downfall of our game. bigbaz

Agree3 Disagree6

@1: Rangers fans all over Hearts pages. Obsessed? Must be as that's the criteria used to accuse Celtic fans - if they're all over these pages, they must be.

Agree9 Disagree3

@6 how do you know there is rangers supporters all over the hearts site jeso you lot really are obsessed

Agree1 Disagree4

@7 Possibly cause 3/4 of the posts begin with "As a Rangers Fan," have a look before blindly commenting.

G93

Agree4 Disagree0

@7: 'you lot'? I'm a football fan, and support neither Celtic nor Rangers (or, indeed, Hearts). Why shouldn't I keep across the sites on here to see what fans are saying regarding a variety of topics? Am I not allowed to go on certain sites because I don't support the clubs? If so, that would be rather fascist. If you understood these sites properly you would know they are for all fans: for example, this one is not just for Rangers fans but for all fans to have banter about Rangers.

It's also a bit sad that you presume I'm a Celtic fan (I take it that's what 'you lot' means). Can you explain why you did that along with confirming your comprehension of what I explained above?

Agree8 Disagree1

@9 don't make me laugh just nipped over to the hearts site to see if the rubbish you were slavering was true but as I thought more usual Sh 3 rangers fans sl,gging hearts compared to 7 Celtic fans sl,gging them you lot truly are obsessed. Oh by the way don't try and give me that Sh you are a football fan you support a team and that team is Celtic because if it weren't you would put the same comment on there page as there are more of them on the hearts page but guess what you never you truly are a Celtic fan and you truly are obsessed
