I wonder who the player or players
We got on trial 2 played U20s
1 played U17s that 1 we prob know who he is.

09 Jul 2016 21:17:55
A. Trialist that lad certainly gets about doesn't he :D.

10 Jul 2016 09:34:56
Who were they?

10 Jul 2016 11:32:41
Read on Facebook that one of the trialists was Mo Johnstone's son.

09 Jul 2016 18:17:02
Two pals who go about together
Having fun and enjoying a blether;

On a Saturday they don their togs
Get on the bus and post their blogs;

Of tae the fitba to see their heroes
One is a true blue, the other a zero;

We are on the up but they get a draw
It's penalties, but whits he done wae the baw?

O'er the crossbar and the stand
Naebodies got a clue where it will land;

Mad Broonies gutted and takes the hump
Wae a lightweight team he's still a chump;

Brenda's come in to steady the ship
Won't matter wae their big chip!

Onwards and upwards to the new season
Why dae we bother > The Famous Glasgow Rangers, that's the reason.

10 Jul 2016 00:28:22
Lol apparently several t1m$ disagree.

10 Jul 2016 09:37:22
We should take an advert out to let them know that we are back, just in case one or two have not noticed lol.

09 Jul 2016 17:48:58
Heard on here about a week ago, some fellow blue noses qoute that the new striker we r in for has played for qpr and spurs, how did we get that conclusion? I haven't heard anything, just wondering if it came from MW or DW in an interview?
Defoe would come in that category, if only though. any thoughts or was it bull?

09 Jul 2016 22:01:04
Defoe has never played for qpr.

09 Jul 2016 22:36:15
Bobby Zamora fits the bill, ex-Spurs and QPR.

10 Jul 2016 00:37:03
Awe aye, oops. Cheers.

09 Jul 2016 17:10:35
IF waghorn and tav and prove them selfs in the spfl then yes they should get higher wages I feel they have jumped the gun quite a bit. Simple.

09 Jul 2016 18:27:35
I reckon they took wage cuts to join us and now want a wee bit more.

09 Jul 2016 23:45:52
Doesnt matter if they took a wage cut they were nobodys and not even getting game time. don't bite the hand that feeds you boys. or the hand may bite back. if need be sell them on therd bigger and better out there.

09 Jul 2016 16:21:58
So does anyone have any idea how much joey Barton is on? He must have been offered a lot more to stay in England.

09 Jul 2016 17:56:41
MW is on record saying he's on nowhere near the quoted 14k.

09 Jul 2016 20:34:43
Nowhere near doesn't necessarily mean it's less, it could be more but just nowhere near £14k.

10 Jul 2016 10:54:57
I think if he was on more he either wouldn't have commented at all and nowhere near probably implies he's on less IMO.
I guestimate he will be on £10k like Rossiter and probably Krancjar.
Tav and Wags are probably on closer to £5k and think they should be on dbl that. If they prove themselves in top flight then fair enough they may be worth £10k a week but jurys still out on both and I think they have at least 2 years left so personally I would wait before handing them improved terms.

09 Jul 2016 23:03:01
So what is tav and wag on surely they can't be on 2 or 3 k a week
What is all this they are not signing new contracts surely we are doing them the favour giving them a new deal they are on 3 year deals.

09 Jul 2016 15:25:21
Sam winnall or lee Gregory possible strikers? Thoughts.

09 Jul 2016 16:31:49
Barnsley striker sam winnall I've seen more of and has a good goals to games ratio and can finish from the few times I've seen lee gregory for millwall he's also looked the part so to be perfectly honest I wouldn't grumble if we signed either although if pushed I'd probably go for winnall first.

09 Jul 2016 16:45:53
would take lee gregory in a minute, but year left on contract and think would cost good whack, but have real doubt if millwall would be keen to deal.

09 Jul 2016 14:48:58
Anyone think the mystery striker could be adam let fodre? Only a year left on his cardiff contract and wouldn't exactly break the bank wage wise I'm sure. Just another name to throw in. Good poacher.

09 Jul 2016 14:07:23
Think Waghorn forgets he's coming back from an injury and Tav forgets he had no competition. Both easily replaced and they shouldn't forget that. We will bring in a striker and have plenty of wingers. We have brought in a right back. They were offered contracts due to the board feeling they had earned a better deal now they think they deserve more do they forget they have two years left on there deals? Gaffer was right bringing in big earners can upset the squad harmony but what have either of the two done to justify Joe Barton wages? Prove yourself this year against worthwhile opponents, win something worthwhile then you can justify a wage packet of that size. Completely unproved and unjustified Tav can't defend and waghorn outwith penalties (which we have many possible takers) didn't score as many as he thinks. Inflated ego due to inflated opinion by the fans I don't see Wilson or Kiernan demanding 20k a week.

09 Jul 2016 14:13:03
No Rangers player is either on or demanding anything close to £20k a week.

09 Jul 2016 15:20:15
Well its slight hyperbole but if you can't get your head around that then that's down to you. We have no idea what they are demanding or how much Barton is on but it's out there that they want closer to Baron, Who on popular opinion is on 15k a week plus bonuses. My post is a comparison to the both whereby Barton is proven and established but Waghorn and Tav aren't yet they want wages closer to his which they have no justification for doing so being on a two year deal winning the Scottish championship, failing in the Scottish cup finial but you know RFCinfinity nit pick my post as you want complete disregard for what I said useless waste of space when it makes no contribution to the topic which is players think they are bigger than the club.

09 Jul 2016 15:25:30
Nor do I say they are demanding 20k a week, I say I don't see Wilson or Kiernan demanding that wage if you want to nit pick like you clearly do.

09 Jul 2016 15:04:22
Ross ime in agrement with you mate, both these players will be offered inproved wages noow that we are in the top league, deals they refused (allegedly) they must also remember that without being at our place they were relatvly unknown, so if there agents don't watch there peas and cues, theey might be offloaded .

09 Jul 2016 16:16:44
Hit it on the head bigjon85 would imagine both would command a fee of around 1m maybe 1.5m at a push so 10x return in a year is not bad on an investment.

09 Jul 2016 16:19:44
Why is everyone arguing about this when it's just a paper story the now! no one from rangers FC to my knowledge has confirmed this is gossip or fact. everyone needs to calm down and see the development before judging people and their attitudes if warbs or that confirms it then judge if not take it as rumour aimed at rocking the team harmony.

09 Jul 2016 16:43:41
Jimbobgers, i said in my post (allegedly) if you are refering to me jim, john.

09 Jul 2016 13:37:44
Getting quite annoyed with some fans over the waggy and tab situation. I don't for a second think they are unhappy or that they think they're 'bigger' than the club. Maybe the contract wasn't right for them and that's why they haven't signed yet. As far as I'm aware the negotiations are still ongoing. Keep the heed.

09 Jul 2016 14:45:45
highly doubt players sign the first contract they get no matter who they are.

09 Jul 2016 15:55:43
Not something that should have broken as a story. Do your business in private. If you can't agree a deal - move on when the time is right.

I'm pretty confident that a deal will be reached. Not because I have any contacts or knowledge - because this is bog-standard, every-day stuff that just so happens to have been turned into a story.

Agree with Conner though, some fickle posts about this.

09 Jul 2016 16:03:10
Sorry - Connor.

09 Jul 2016 16:18:51
To me they haven't shown to be worth more than what the club is probably offering. Everything is carefully thought out and I don't think the board would offer a deal they thought they wouldn't accept.

09 Jul 2016 12:30:13
Looks like will not be on loan scored against Tranmere in a friendly.

I still think we will buy Bradshaw.

09 Jul 2016 12:35:48
Ings, that is.

09 Jul 2016 14:14:44
As far I'm concerned scoring against Tranmere in a friendly has no bearing on his future.

09 Jul 2016 12:27:18
Get rid of tav he is hopeless in defence and will get found out this year and waggy needs to prove himself first against top defenders.

09 Jul 2016 12:51:24
Amazing how quickly some people forget how good Tav was at times last season. The boy has a few shakey games and it's a witch hunt!

We play a style which will leave us exposed at the back from time to time, especially the full backs who are encouraged to get forward.

Would you rather we parked the bus or are you waiting on us signing a £30m full back?

09 Jul 2016 13:45:31
Truly unreal how fickle a football fan can be. The Record has got hee haw to print so this is the story they run with as their 'headline'.
I would say most every player rejects the first thing that's set down in front of them. Wow, imagine that!
They know that to sell their rag they must write something about us because there's feck all going on across the city worth publishing.
So keep calm guys. These boys love our club, our support, our management and the fantastic chance they have been given to play for a massive club.

09 Jul 2016 14:46:19
football fans really are fickle.

09 Jul 2016 15:24:46
Bears I agree that Tavs defending could be better but let's see if the guy HAS improved that side of his game, also the style that Warbs plays demands our Full/ Wing Backs push up the park and Tavs is brilliant at that considering we had never heard of this guy and he cost us 300k yeah. As for the contract issue, do both players have the same Agent as I think there may be some clubs interested who can offer better wages and unsettling our players, can't think why Warbs would offer new contracts to any one who's yet to prove themselves at our top.

09 Jul 2016 15:41:15
He was great for half a season and poor for the other half. Fact. Loss of form could have been down to fatigue or having never played a full season. Let's judge him after this season.

09 Jul 2016 11:58:33
Got a very strong feeling it could be Frazier Campbell.

Kind of ticks all the boxes from what people have been saying up until now.

How big a signing would this be? Would it surprise a lot of fans?

09 Jul 2016 12:52:33
I tend to very strongly agree with you Thorn76,I've said to a good few of my rangers mates that I go to the games with that I think the striker the magic hat will sign is frazier campbell, I also had a wee feeling about nakhi wells but not as strong a feeling as campbell, time will tell mate!

09 Jul 2016 13:10:31
I mentioned Campbell last week when it was rumoured on Twitter that the forward we are after didn't start a lot last season in the EPL and was once at QPR or Spurs.

09 Jul 2016 13:28:23
The name doing the rounds this morning is Jermaine Defoe.

09 Jul 2016 13:55:53
Lots of people suggesting.

English
Worked with Redknapp
Last year of his contract

Campbell fits the bill.

09 Jul 2016 14:35:26
Wont be defoe.

09 Jul 2016 15:03:20
Let fondre?

09 Jul 2016 16:26:02
I'd personally be gutted i'd it was Campbell guys career has fell away I know the Scottish league isn't top drawer but Campbell has scored 23 goals in the last 7 year for 3 different clubs yeah it's not a mistype it's actually 23 goals in 7 year.

09 Jul 2016 10:32:47
anyone hearing anything about how the lad Ball is featuring in Spurs pre-season and if they will retain him?

09 Jul 2016 12:17:31
You'd think he wouldn't be ready yet.

Odds are they want to loan him to a relegation level English Premier League team or top level Championship team instead though.

We have enough players in DM anyway but he'd be a great signing.

09 Jul 2016 10:06:33
Anyone else think the media are just stirring things up because they're scunnered they don't know the identity of the striker we're after. If they can't get a positive story print one of players refusing contact extensions.

09 Jul 2016 10:29:42
They have obviously turned down the first offer. No big deal.

09 Jul 2016 11:34:41
I've read online 5 players are currently available and their agents have been told to look for clubs to sell them to. The players I've read are those 2 fotheringham, kiernan and another which wasn't named.

09 Jul 2016 11:45:32
Report broke in the Guardian who I doubt are bothered about the identity of our new striker or any other potentially positive story about Rangers.

In fact, the only thing that paper seems bothered about is overturning a recent legal and democratic vote by the British people.

09 Jul 2016 12:59:29
Have a go at the papers for misinformation but not the recent "legal and democratic" vote. A bit of hypocrisy me thinks.

Don't think lies and misinformation are a healthy part of any democratic process.

Anyways, that's my lot on that subject. I come here for football, not politics.

09 Jul 2016 09:48:26
I know I'm not the only one who has enjoyed reading Dave Kings Q and A it's been refreshing and a step in the right direction, I hope he does this again. I agree with most of what he has said and today we await his Statment on our jersey deal I hope it's good news.

09 Jul 2016 11:41:06
Has he said when the club will be getting a Nomad yet?

09 Jul 2016 12:58:47
what position does he play?

09 Jul 2016 13:50:47
No real position just wanders around😃.

09 Jul 2016 08:00:09
Wee change of subject here regarding rangers but all the same a very important subject, dave king said midweek there that by this weekend he would be making a statement to the fans regarding our replica kit situation and where we are with it, well mr. king we're waiting, what's keeping you?

09 Jul 2016 09:12:26
8am on a saturday! let the guy get out of bed.

09 Jul 2016 09:18:25
Yep. we are all waiting. would imagine today for news. i must be honest, i will be shocked if its good news. i am expecting some sort of stalemate announcment.

09 Jul 2016 10:41:27
lvlarkGraham, read my post correctly mate, mr. king BY saturday was what he said regarding making the statement on our replica shirt deal, by saturday in my logic of thinking means before saturday, agree?

09 Jul 2016 12:22:20
W15 your original post says BY weekend not BY Saturday, weekend being all day Saturday and all day Sunday, give DK a chance to get his corn flakes eaten mate!

09 Jul 2016 12:45:28
Forfarger, ok by weekend would mean before the weekend starts, god I should start giving out lessons to educate people, for the last time by anything means BEFORE! In other words by kings admission the statement should have been relayed to us by now!

09 Jul 2016 15:25:08
He lives In south Africa, don't think he will call you, crept to get your latest striker
Tommy.

09 Jul 2016 07:39:19
Right well according to the press Warbs ain't going to be bringing any loans in and in that case my theory about bringing 2 or 3 top young attackers from the likes of Chelsea or City is a pile of crap! was sure Warbs wouldve used his connections for our front line never mind Ball! anyone else believe that will be the case or can Hardie and Walsh step up. Btw did want the young lads to be given a chance this season but still thought Warbs wouldve used his connections.

09 Jul 2016 07:54:48
Dave king has to start putting money were mouth is simple. we need to spend a few bob on a good striker and cb and people are lying if they think we can win league with this team.

09 Jul 2016 08:56:06
Andy1872 might be mistaken but I thought MW said he won't use loan deals the way he had to last season.
Surely he should at least give our own young guys a chance before possibly bringing in young guys from the likes of teams you mentioned. IMO.

09 Jul 2016 15:41:25
Hope your right Scotman, I think Warbs could still bring in a couple and keep the youngsters as we are REALLY lean for strikers.

09 Jul 2016 04:34:56
So daily record saying waggy and tav have rejected new deals.

They may have but they are entitled to negotiate the best contract for them selfs.

Also tav recently done an interview stating glasgow was his new home and him and his family are very settled and he was so greatful for being part of our great club.

Let the men negotiate there future they are entitled too. All will be fine they know they don't wanna go back to there previous situation!

Have Faith.

09 Jul 2016 06:36:37
I think they should remember that even though they had a great season in the Championship that they still have a LOT to prove. Winning the championship and the SPFL are miles apart and if we do that and they prove them selves to be one of the better players this season then they would deserve to be earning wages in line with Barton etc.

Barton and Kranjcar have been brought in because of their experience at the top level in the game, they have proved they can deliver, they are also here to develop the other players so for that reason I feel they deserve more cash than them.

Hopefully they both see it as a challenge to go out there and win a deal in line with their expectations by showing what they can do at this level.

Waggy needs to improve on his finishing (lot of his goals were from the spot last year) and Tav needs to build on his defensive work if they can both do this then they can speak about being top earners.

09 Jul 2016 09:30:41
I think we should give them one more offer if they reject it we should sell them in this transfer window to get the maximum sell on fee surely we will make a profit then let us buy someone decent upfront and a fullback that can defend. I like the two of them but if wee get a good fee for them, they cost hardly anything and we cannot let them sit and gave their contracts run down lowering their value plus we know from the guys we have had in the past that as good as they are they are not the best we have had or could have. So one more offer but if you don't like it see you later.

08 Jul 2016 23:12:56
Right Bears need to knoe two bits of info! where can I find out how much our lads are getting weekly and was scouring about on the net about Auchinhowie and totally forgot about this proposed plan for a stand to be built there and want to know if this is still happening or if it even should! it was proposed Feb this year! anyone know anything about this and as for the wages thing if someone can direct me to a site it'd be appreciated, can find details for sqaud of 14/ 15 but nothing on current sqaud!
