Tam-Sir. 1873. Get yer season books!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Good god Doug that does not even make sense. Good to see your hatred of celtic brought you back though eh.

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 how is he possibly acting like them you don't say lol if you get beat its good to see they get thrashed 6-2 off greuther furth

Agree0 Disagree0

Doug t. s. o. , laugh it up fella, and don't forget the other two defeats, that's three in a row, f***** hilarious.

but we have just sold big vic for £12.5m
including his wages for two years and the purchase price, that's a £10m profit.
that's £10m in the bank before £20m+ ticket sales and the cl money comes the end of july. another £28m. tv money, sponsorships, etc, etc, etc

that puts you about £50m a year behind us, now that is funny. shammy

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares! It was a friendly. I come on here for rangers rumours or possible info. We'll end up like that bunch. Obsessed with your rival. Not good for you that.

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 you's haven't qualified for cl so take that away wanyamas old team due more money off you's for sell on fee plus your wage bill plus bonuses so it's no wer near 50 mill a good old tim always exaggerating the figures

Agree0 Disagree0

Very true shammy but my the is bigger than yours! I couldn't care if you had the Bank of England, get a grip man! PB

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont forget your vat from the sales shammy! Your club has turned into somethin your fans slaughtered us for - A SELLING CLUB!

Agree0 Disagree0

Big fish in a small pond your missing the gers bigstyle your a selling club now

Agree0 Disagree0

Obsessed - its pre-season. Time to blood new players. who cares about result. At least they get to play liverpool!

Elgin anyone?

Agree0 Disagree0

@9. pb are you sitting there expecting me to believe that the fact we have £50m more than you, this year, doesn't bother you. aye right. £50m that is two and a half of your share issues. yes we can piss higher than you. and it will be a long long time before you can catch up. 10/20 years. shammy

Agree0 Disagree0

@8. the cl money is from last year. not this. so yes we can count it. it gets payed end of this month. shammy

Agree0 Disagree0

11. don't forget the vat. lmfao

really, don't forget the vat. coming from the rangers. your mob don't know what vat is. just pointing out we are £5m a month in front of you. that is a huge catch up. shammy

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic's strategy is clear and well known. Using a first class scouting system to find up and coming top players. Give them experience and sell them on. In the last year ki and Vic have gone for 18.5m. More than 3 times what your newco was bought for. These players also played their part in bringing in 25m+ in CL profits. Add the rest of the income and the difference between celtic and the rangers is astronomical. You won't read it in the scottish press though, they are instruments of deceit. You are the deceived. Good luck.

@8: there is no sell-on clause.

Agree0 Disagree0

@13 We have £50m more than you? How much of that will be used for operating costs and wages. what players do you expect to sign with no competition in your league? You may be able to piss higher at the moment but no champions league and all that piss is coming back down on you. PB

Agree0 Disagree0

@17) There is in fact a sell on clause in the Wanyama deal with Beerschot due to get 5%. That is fact buddy. Still, 5% isn't going to make much of a dent on 12.5 million really. Good business for a 900k signing.

Just been treated like mince by ticket office, they made a mess of my online ticket purchase, blaming the Manchester call centre. Now in Elgin with no brief, apparently I can pay at the gate tomorrow.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Was there an online sale of tkts for Elgin? I could not see it on the website!!

Jg

Agree0 Disagree0

Do that then!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes there was a online sale, also for sheffield but that's a sell out now according to the website

James Andrew Easdale has been appointed as a Non Executive Director

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lol

P. O. B.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have'nt we all done something
we regret, he's paid his due's let
him got on way it
billy h

Agree0 Disagree0

I a step too far. I pronised to buy my boy his first season ticket this year conditional on easdales not being involved. So that's two season tickets lost. I have supported rangers for too long to see to see us scrape that particular barrel

THE Board is pleased to announce that James Andrew Easdale, aged 42, has been appointed today as a Non-executive Director to the Company.

Mr Easdale is an entrepreneur and a director of several businesses including McGill’s Bus Service Limited, a leading independent bus operator in Scotland.

Mr Easdale said: “As a lifelong Rangers supporter, I am proud and honoured to serve on the board of such a great sporting institution and look forward to helping Rangers Football Club continue its journey back to the top of Scottish football. ” (Source: Gers website)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Change the name but it's the same tired old statement. Charles Green resigned? don't make me laugh he's got the whole place sewn up with companies he controls. Easdale wants Greens shares so he won't be making any noise.

Agree0 Disagree0

SFA's "Fit and Proper Person" check should be interesting.

SPM

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 sfa don't do fit and proper checks or we wouldn't have been in this mess in the first place

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 Are you not glad then that the Stupid Football Ass put this in place then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone hear the tape of Green claiming UEFA corrupt. has that killed rangers chances of ever getting back into Europe?

Green even called Platini useless. why would a Rangers CEO say that on tape? and not sue if tape released. this can't be true?

Agree0 Disagree0

@3 sfa have nothing to do with the mess u r in over spending and not paying debts is why u got into the mess u r in. its not up to other people to tell u how or who to run your club u were warned about green and white did you listen no

Agree0 Disagree0

@6 mate the sfa are partly to blame they run the game in this country so if they did proper checks on potential owners then we wouldn't have got whyte or been liquidated and it was nothing to do with over spending we wer managing our debts

Rangers International Football Club plc

("Rangers", the "Company" or "Club")

Directorate Changes

The Board of Rangers International Football Club plc has announced non-executive directors Malcolm Murray and Phil Cartmell have left the board.

Walter Smith, Chairman of Rangers, said: "Both Malcolm and Phil have made important and valuable contributions to the Club. The last year has presented the Club with a number of challenges and it has been beneficial to have two highly experienced non-executive directors such as Malcolm and Phil offering assistance.

"On behalf of the board I would like to thank them for their considerable efforts in helping to rebuild Rangers. Both men have other significant business interests and we wish them well in their future endeavours. "

Believable0 Unbelievable0

"and it has been beneficial to have two highly experienced non-executive directors ". so why loose them.??

Smith telling us we sinking fast.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's ironic that Walter Smith is delivering the statement to stock exchange on sacking (yes sacking as its against their wishes) of Murray and the other guy. When Smith said only a few months ago if Murray walked so would he. Except now Smith has Murray's job.
ST money in, power now with green/ Stockbridge/ Ahmad/ Mathers. Easdales appointed regardless of fans resistance. Who listens to fans again Charles? Remember Dundee Utd boycott? Listening to fans? Only when it suits, that's hypocritical!

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 show me the statement where WS said that and don't quote the sun. Also it's common sense that the largest shareholders will have the power to influence the business decisions, is it not?

I don't know why all the fuss, cartmell is leaving to concentrate on other interests, in fact he only owns 25000 shares and from all accounts Murray was not producing the goods

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 agree with your assessment mate apart from the bit about "fans resistance"; 30k+ season tickets would suggest otherwise.
As usual we have learned nothing despite numerous warnings and clumsy smoke an mirrors. I'm afraid we've walked into this one with our eyes shut by choice.

Hi Ed, do you know if Murray and Cartmell have gone only to be replaced by one of the Easdale brothers, future looks decidedly dodgy if this should be the outcome, obviously I hope that will not be the case, as we as a club have had enough unsavoury characters with shady repute without either of these two getting on board. {Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware, they have just gone and it has been a long time coming. Whether new members will be appointed to the board in the future is hard to call. Certainly they would want an involvement if they put money in.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The Easdales have to get Greens shares in 6 months first. Unfortunately its the one with the tax conviction that's most interested in sitting in a directors chair at the club. Surely stand in CEO Smith must resign. He threatened this if Murray went. McCoist is now getting the clear out he shouted for and probably replacements. Everybody wants to see accounts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I've said for a while now that if everyone buys a season ticket then as soon as the money is in the spivs can get rid of the real Rangers men (& can Walter Smith now really remain in place?)

Disgusted by what is going on. A truly awful day for the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

This could be the worst scenario for Rangers. Forget the Easdales, Morgan is the guy who will decide what happens. Green and Ahmad will pull the strings. Morgan will insist on sweeping cuts, the hints have been dropped already. They have the season book money that is all they needed. working capital through to Dec/Jan, green and friends sell up, walk away and the company is placed in another administration. This then will leave the Easdales with control of Rangers. One flaw in this plan is craig whyte.

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray and Cartmell forced out, Cenkos sacked ; hardly a stable environment for investors. May be a and interesting financial statement on the way.

Paddy Malarkey

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 get your facts right before posting

Walter Smith is the non exec chairman

Craig Mather is the interim CEO

You do know that the directors voted unanimously for Murray to be relived of his position as Chairman - that included WS so why should he now resign.

There will be more changes in the boardroom until one person or one group own a controlling % of the shares

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

@2 why is it an awful day?
you do know that Cartmell did not even make the effort to travel to Glasgow to sit in the boardroom meetings,
why would we want to keep a director with that attitude?

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct Ed. It has been coming for a wee while.
Don't know the details but it was rumoured in the past that Easdale and a guy called Morgan would be replacing them.
Is it more than coincidence that over thirty thousand SB's have been sold via the renewals, with the public sale due at the end of the month?
I hope WS stays put, if he goes I fear the worst again.

Agree0 Disagree0

You know I wish Walter would just speak up or leave then the fans will decide what way to go his silence makes it feel hunky dory will it be too late before he opens his mouth if he even does? Too many if these so called Rangers men have sat back & watched us spend money we don't have while taking away with a healthy wage packet every week & it's still going on to this day. Wish we could bring back Alastair Johnstone without David Murray being his boss.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well here we go again, directors moving on change of brokers? why all the movement now after our great season ticket sale?
We must be the most gulible supporters in the whole of Britian, to sit there thinking this is in the best intrests of our club?
Walter takes it all on chin and thanks Murray & Cartmill for a great job done? but leaves us all guessing on why Green and his cohorts still all remain all though mostly in the shadows. If this is all to delay any accounts coming out on planned date, then we surely have to act! this time? Hopefully our man Walter will be coming out with his exact feeling on matter very soon or he is not the man I thought he was.

Agree0 Disagree0

@8) Alastair Johnston was the biggest wage earner, so u just contradicted yirself. Honestly, nae brains. Or is it Jabba working the boards again with nonsense? Walter off the big chair AJ onto it? Ibrox big money earners merrygoround? Fans haven't got rid of any of them and are burdened with them.

Agree0 Disagree0

@7. Why would you fear the worst again? WS was put in to do a job and will be handsomely paid for it. He was there for one reason and one reason only to sell tickets. There is no way back for WS now as he said he would leave if Murray was dismissed. So WS it time to stand up and be counted.

Agree0 Disagree0

JG - "You do know that the directors voted unanimously for Murray to be relived of his position as Chairman - that included WS so why should he now resign. "?

How do you know this? No minutes released from board. so this is speculation and spin - by who green?
