Wits Happnin Wae The Guy Fae Brentford Ppl "Toumani Diagouraga" Its Went Really Quiet, Looks A Decent Big Player Anaw.

10 Jan 2016 04:46:21
Can't afford him with 18 months left on his current contract and his wages its just to much, i think we will have to wait a year or two back in the premiership till we can afford players of his calaber, sad times but With no tv money and how bad Scottish football is just now financial ways even £500,000/£600,000 fees are out of our price range, and as for going in for him at £100,000 is an insult and no wonder we are loosing out on players to other clubs and of course Celtic are loving it, now i know how There (fans) lol felt in the 90s and the 2000s when all the talent and players were picking to come to Rangers instead of them and it hurts but Under Warbs n Weir we will get there. Watp.

But Saying that With the player Diagouraga wanting to join us hopefully something can be sorted out he looks a cracking player and noticed he was left out of the FA Cup game yesterday not even on the bench and has played in all there games this season and last, so Fingers crossed. Watp.

lvg. huddink. advocate. just a few dutchies who seem to think that spending millions bring success. yes ferguson spent money but made his bosses and his club millions and millions all on players who were brought up thinking the utd way. this is the way forward for us under warbs with the occasional decent player whos been around the block but still has life in him. deecee.

09 Jan 2016 16:57:44
What?

09 Jan 2016 18:01:46
Yes saying spending big money doesn't always guarantee success!

09 Jan 2016 14:22:05
The championship down south is a far better league than prem in Scotland . the reason why good players up here don't make it down south and come back and are good again. some of the best players ever have made there career from the bottom, if we just buy established players we are not using marry park properly and I think we will see what our amazing training facility can do under the right guidance very exciting times.

Heard a wee whisper that Tiny Gallacher wasn't too well. The lady is a behind the scenes legend at Ibrox. Her mother started working for Gers away back in 1930 and the family connection has been there ever since. I remember taking the weans on the stadium tour a few years ago and it was Tiny who showed us round the place. She was a right character and it was clear she absolutely loves the place. I asked her who her favourite manager had been. She said she liked Walter and big Eck but there was only one man for her. Mr. Waddell she said without hesitation.
Get well soon Tiny. The club will always need people like you.

Great heartfelt post the seeker, I've also had the privilege of meeting tiny gallacher a few years back, she is a larger than life character and I wish her a speedy recovery, she's exactly what our great family club is all about.

without being to negative i can't help but think we are over rating this big latvian lad? people are talking about his goals but nicky clark netted 41 in 46 fair dues for qos but a goals a goal and who is skonto riga, all i'm saying is this guy will need time to settle, we've got plenty young scots fighting for a jersey! imo you must give them a chance.

09 Jan 2016 12:16:52
Fair point and we've heard nothing about signing him anyway. Clarke just showed how much easier it is to score for a small club against teams not playing their cup finals. I agree that we should be looking at young home grown talent but in my opinion a guy like Hardie at 18 is just too young and inexperienced to lead the line.

We need a number 9 more so than a left winger or backup goalkeeper and should be prepared to spend. I'm not saying crazy money but we can't languish under the penniless umbrella or notion that spending in the past got us into this mess, as it didn't. Check the court case charge sheet to confirm what did. We're missing out on European football and better TV rights income alongside merchandising. It's less to do with spending and more about missing out on earning potential. Promotion is an absolute non negotiable must and putting away half the chances we miss will help.

09 Jan 2016 12:49:03
I could prob score goals in the latvian league i agree i think we are looking at latvians record and think ih he's great he's playing in a piss poor league.

09 Jan 2016 13:59:50
If the Latvian ST was impressive in training i'm am sure he would have signed up even on a short term contract, as this seems to be dragging on.

09 Jan 2016 22:58:09
Isn't this the same guy from a piss poor league Everton were looking at are were interested.

09 Jan 2016 10:25:43
Diagouraga quoted today as saying he'd b very interested in playing again for Warbs and that he knows we are a massive club. We only need to up the money and it looks all good bears.

09 Jan 2016 11:16:17
Yeah but we seem to be penny pinching again with these silly low offers.

09 Jan 2016 17:36:43
Nothing wrong with penny pinching were hardly rolling in it.

08 Jan 2016 23:11:58
We definitely need a striker in this transfer window. Can't wait to see if we get 1 in.
From what I seen on the youtube video the Latvian lad looks good.
I wouldn't want Stevie May, David Goodwillie or Makay as I've heard rumours on here about them coming.

I'd like the boy Armstrong from Newcastle United who's on loan at Coventry but can't see it. So maybe the big Latvian boy would be our best bet. Just a thought.
Finally love watching Rangers again, getting back to giving us fans to be proud again.

09 Jan 2016 00:40:21
The boy Armstrong would be a hit with us, that's a shout jimbo. Can't see it though unfortunately.

09 Jan 2016 10:06:19
If you watch video of the Latvian boy it seems that 90%of his goals come from running in behind defences. Not sure how effective he would be playing against teams who defend on the edge of their box. Wouldn't be surprised if Warbs played with a 'false 9' next season rather than an out and out striker.
