There seems to be some confusion with regards to Mr Sarvers recent statement and his intensions?

I think we need to calm down and listen to the guy, he would appear to be genuine and I think his statement and Davy roberston's endorsement gives a fairly clear intent by Mr S arver. I think we should at least listen to him and I am certain if he wasn't good for the club then his tenure wouldn't last very long

Hope this guy gets control, seems to want us and not afraid telling us his intentions, was quick with his 2nd bid also, unlike our hero dave who only made a £16 m offer.

Who's saver bigwull? Show me any connection or even story, rumour etc that sarver is linked to Ashley?

If you really want the club get the money out, king, park etc, sarver is the only one stepping up

Ashley could put a £6.5m loan against ibrox and Murray park tomorrow if he wanted, so why would he use sarver to bid £18m then if that was accepted, with the mandatory offer to the rest of shares that's over £40m including the 6.5m short term loan, so even if this was ashley using sarver why bid over £40m if he didn't have good intentions?

From American billionaires/millionaire to German technical directors where will this all end. Every pundit saying we need money to keep lights on then adding the next guy in needs to have millions to spend on players, what planet are we on. This is Scottish football and we down the pecking order just now, but again I ask one thing Live within our means and it won't take long before we are back at the top of Scottish football again and sitting at the top table feasting on champion league money. First thing we have to do is accept our own failings not blame everyone else for the situation we are in, accept that then we can move forward.

Spot on Mullad! A dose of realism is needed badly!

Part of the problem regarding raising fans expectations of cash being splashed is ex players like Derek Johnstone.

Now I do like DJ but one week he is saying the authorities said no to Ashley raising his stake in Rangers because they fear a resurgent Rangers aided by his big spending.

A week later DJ tells us basically that Ashley should put up or shut up, spend big and not rely on youngsters.

At this moment in time I am afraid talk like that is idiocy when the fans desperately need realism.

The news that Felix Magath, who is respected throughout Europe and restructured Wolfsburg to actually come from nothing to win the German Bundesliga he has won the double twice with Bayern and success with Stuttgart too.

He appears to be in talks with a Rangers group (I am guessing must be King and 3 Bears or we would have had current numpties bragging about this already) about becoming Technical Director and doing the same for Rangers by restructuring us from the bottom up with youth development a premium. He has bought shares also which can't be bad.

If we can get EGM and oust the persons destroying our club the future could after the 3 worst years of my life as a Bear start to look great.

I think all bears wanted us to rebuild from the bottom with youth and that was nearly ruined by the pathetic attempts of mcc and his team, we might just get what we were wanting all along if this pans out.

If it is the King/Bears talking to him they must know that they are going to have the 51% and be calling an EGM imminently to have the confidence to approach someone of the stature of Magath.

As always scared to believe but it does look as if we might finally have something to look forward to

Saying that I don’t see a single quote bar one from a close German source who may or may not exist so I won’t get my hopes up just yet.

I don't have a problem with someone like Magath, I think it would be very beneficial to have someone with his stature and contacts on board, Germany has one of the strongest leagues in world football and l like the way they bring footballer's through from a young age with good grounding, how we could have done with that these last few years, and if wee penfold can rub some of the german mentality of on Rangers then I don't think that would be such a bad thing.

Magath developed players like Dzeko Lahm etc, as for people being negative towards Cathro why?? he's the masterclass behind what valencia did to Real Madrid, Valencia coach consistently calls him a "Genuis"

He bought shares who for? got it in one ashley

Magaths developed no one he's not stayed at a club for more than 3 years and after his last stint at Fulham he seems to have lost his marbles. Maybe he has just bought the shares as an investment hoping to make money.

CeeXXX your post is typical of many of your posts - stupid and incorrect - Magath did 2 doubles with Bayern and took Wolfsburg from relegation to the Bundisliga title why does he need to stay more than 3 years if he can do that / Wolfsburg is the equivalent of Motherwell winning our old SPL with Rangers in it! Plus to win with that team you are seriously saying he developed no players? Can you try to read the facts and think before you just type the first thing that comes into your head.

Bigwull as I posted previously Magath is linked to the King and 3 Bears team. I think a consortium of King 3 Bears and Sarver with an investment as a shareholder under a new share issue is the best possible option for Rangers successful rebirth.

Magath is way above what we are due in our sad position, 3m in debt to fatboy and begging money in emails. We should be over the moon that the 3 Bears have the vision to go for such an intelligent football man as Magath.

I'd love to see him at helm redesigning the whole structure from youth up and McInnes or McCall managing a young exciting team with a board of King and 3 Bears plus a fan representative voted for by the fans. Possibly with a couple of places for other business minded people like Brian Kennedy and the American Sarvar if he buys a large stake in a new share issue

Do you believe everything you read in the papers? For one lahm was already playing for bayern Munich before magath was even there same with hleb at Stuttgart. Kuyrani made hias debuts under magath in his first season, so did mcoist develop macleod because he gave him his debut? Hinkle had already made his debut before magath was at stuttgart, he did well with Stuttgart he may have won the league with bayern but who wouldn't have won it with the team he inherited he took them back the way think it was 4th in the league when he was sacked. Ottmar hitzfield layed the foundations at bayern and magath took them back the way.

And how much money did he spend at Wolfsburg? Bayern were probably still recovering from the mess he left, but the papers say he is a mastermind must be true even though players who have played for him say he has no clue and his training methods are ridiculous. David moyes gave januzaj his debut at man United has he developed him? Giving a player his debut doesn't mean you have developed him

CeeXXX actually you are right Magath had nothing to do with the Bayern 2 doubles and the Wolfsburg winning the bundesliga it was most likely Tinkerbell sprinkled magic fairy dust and the teams just played magic :-)
