Sunday was a set back, but getting through on Thursday will give us another financial boost.
I could comment on changes I would like to see [ Katic for Goldson. ] but I won't, that is a decision for SG.
What I will say is we are stronger and better than celtic, and by the end of this season that will be proved.
With a touch of good fortune and a prevailing wind the league flag will be back to where it belongs.

10 Dec 2019 00:10:46
Sorry but we have played them 2 times this season and lost 2-0 and 1-0 so please don't tell me we are better than them, does that mean tommy burns Celtic were better than us when then hammered us and lost 1-0 thanks to the goalie? we couldn't score v a team struggling with 10 men. I want to see us win as much as anyone but we are not stronger than them end of story.

10 Dec 2019 05:57:52
Gers 1999,i'll tell you one thing it does tell us, it certainly tells me and i suspect many other bears that we are most definitely a match for them and i believe under gerrard our time is coming. We played them off the park TWICE at ibrox in the league last season, winning both games 1-0 (going on about 4 or 5) and then 2-0 again playing them off the park with our very high press, high tempo football, for which they can't cope. We played them off the park again with 10 men at parkhead and a tav mistake late on cost us the game. At hampden there in the final on sunday we again limited them to scraps and played them off the park and but for a wonder show big their big keeper and some bad finishing, we would have had the cup in our trophy cabinet, by half time. Massive strides gerrard and our players are making and we're not far away in my opinion.

10 Dec 2019 07:18:59
Don't think we can say we're better than them - played them twice this season and lost both. We played better than them on Sunday, but that was one game - I don't think they'll be that bad again.

10 Dec 2019 07:37:09
Yes we are stronger. Outplayed them. Burns' team wasn't anywhere near the side we had at that time. They used to raise their game against us. 2 nil defeat this season was diwn to wrong team and tactics and Sunday should have been a demolition. The most one sided game I've ever seen.

10 Dec 2019 08:30:24
I’m sorry I must have amnesia. But the game at Celtic park yous done nothing until u equalised then u had a 20 min spell where u created a few chances before we scored a winner otherwise we battered u for 60 mins with mcgregor making some good saves, the game at Ibrox this season yous were woeful. the heavy pitch suited yous yesterday, a dry slick surface suits us. just one of these things. to say yous are stronger is a bit dillusional considering we have played yous twice away from Celtic park and won both, and I see your deliberately leaving out the fact we played with 2 seriously unfit players, an 18 yo with 8 senior games only and a championship winger up front.

10 Dec 2019 11:20:08
1999 luck plays a part and played a big big part on Sunday

We are not far away now . We are not meandering middle of the league. which from where we have been would probably be justified . Where we are now is quite remarkable . Imagine we were mid of the league Some of the posts we would get . it’s not over yet . have faith . one game . we have no right just to expect everything back in our Laps . the powers that be have told us to expect blips . Getting to a cup final and playing our fiercest rivals off the park . so much do that our keeper had zero saves to make and theirs is man of the m tells its win story about our progression. on another day the luck swings in our favour . and their will be another day end of story.

10 Dec 2019 12:20:18
Sorry billy but sunday was no setback. we beat them every which way on sunday. they scored a rule breaking goal. At 35 minutes into the 1st half the stats were 76% possession in rangers favour. that was an easy game without a goal for rangers. call it what you want but not a setback. to me that's amazing considering a couple year ago they used to run us ragged.

shoes on other foot now . tell me on another day is that not a 4 5 6 nil win for us? so we don't get the 1st trophy. there's 2 more to go. all be it the league is most important. coming 2nd means you're the 1st one to lose. so let's not make that happen. if we win the league i will personally invite all the main posters on this page for a pint or 4.

10 Dec 2019 12:22:14
Celtic won't be as bad on 29th of that I'm certain, simply can't afford to lose there.

10 Dec 2019 12:23:13
Pittodrie summed it up, they are 4 up at half time whilst we blow a 2 goal lead and draw. We can't score whilst that dominant v them i'm worried.

10 Dec 2019 13:24:34
Gers1999, are you sure you support Rangers, I will tell you in the easiest way possible why we are better than them, count the trophies, kid.

10 Dec 2019 13:48:36
Seeker going by your logic every time Celtic beat rangers its luck or poor tactics by gerrard, but if you beat Celtic you play us off park? nonsense as when you beat us last december it was terrible tactics by rodgers to play mac gregor at left back and johnston up top. The other game you won was a dead rubber, bottom line is you think you are the better team but 180 mins of football and you can't even score. 35 mins v 10 men and 3 of our players obviously not fully fit. 29th December will be a different Celtic but with the same outcome.

10 Dec 2019 15:04:18
That's right tyson, bad luck or bad tactics every time.

10 Dec 2019 17:51:30
Tyson99, so Celtic are a better team than Barcelona, going by your reckoning.

10 Dec 2019 21:50:20
Seeker, I also believe we are a lot better than Celtic, and it will show at the end of the season,

09 Dec 2019 22:34:12
Like many and having time now to digest our defeat in yesterday's league cup final, i honestly think we can push celtic all the way for both the scottish cup and the league title. We all know its the result that counts and goes into the record books, but the manner of our loss gives me great optimism that we're getting very close to a shift of power in our favour, with steven gerrard at the helm. We totally outplayed them yesterday and on another day, we would have won convincingly. Of course its a goalkeeper's job to perform, but forster yesterday played like a man possessed and had one of those games that no matter what nothing was going to get past him. He won the cup for them no doubt about it! Coming home from hampden despondent yesterday i can't fault our team's effort and the way we played to a man. But for the performance of their keeper, ryan jack was motm as far as i'm concerned. He's already had some season and jacko totally dominated in midfield for us yesterday and not for the first time, this season. We all saw how much he was hurting when the final whistle blew. that's what rangers means to ryan jack. He has EVERYTHING in his locker to go on to become the future captain of our great club.
The remarkable way that steven gerrard has taken jacko's midfield play to a completely different level, is way beyond what any of us thought, when we signed him from aberdeen in 2017.We all talk about how many clubs are looking to sign our tremendous striker alfredo morelos but i honestly think undoubtedly, that there will be a good few clubs out there watching how well jack is playing and the very consistent level he's now playing at. My message to jack would be keep your chin up and continue what your doing and we all know and saw again yesterday how much glasgow rangers and all our supporters means to you. Can't praise this guy enough and sometimes i think he doesn't get enough praise and recognition for his outstanding displays for us, since gerrard became our manager!

09 Dec 2019 22:58:19
Totally agree with everything, Jack is our POTY already . I hope and slightly feel there tenure is coming to an end . We are definitely getting stronger and they are getting weaker, still feel we are 2 players of quality short to dominate for years to come . As I say to all the guys, the longer it goes on the Sweeter it will be when we bag a title .

10 Dec 2019 07:01:38
The lad tommy doesn't see what jack brings to the table! Haha.

10 Dec 2019 09:19:07
Well BMF they are getting weaker but still beat you twice away from home.

10 Dec 2019 14:09:06
dd1, are you forgetting the defeats before SG arrived 4-0 and the rest. , they won on Sunday, through sheer luck, they will not be that lucky again .

09 Dec 2019 20:24:04
with young boys flying high in there league then motherwell and hibs away killie at home then celtic away don't forget they will play a extra game in the league before they meet us am not to worried if we play the way we did last 2 game biggest worrie will be injurys and kent looks a shadow of him self from last season.

10 Dec 2019 07:02:24
It took kent about 3 months last season to kick into gear.

09 Dec 2019 18:09:25
here we go again usual drivel spouters out in force again-macnamara-sutton the mutton-jackson-boyd-strachan-parks-walker-dalziel, help me out lads if i missed out any of the no marks, how many of them are stealing a wage, if that result would have been reversed i bet you the mhanks would not have been getting the same slating as our boys are.

09 Dec 2019 22:59:51
Truebluesotrue, you've missed out the, one with the copper couloirs top, no one lasts like it, from sport scene, can't remember his name, it's not Duracell, lol.

09 Dec 2019 15:09:54
Anyone else think it was a bit strange to offer sg a new contract I thought it would be better to see how we get on this season cause in my eyes we need to win something, could be an expensive pay off if it doesn't workout for him but hopefully it does.

09 Dec 2019 15:28:33
steven gerrard is the best thing that has happened to our club in years what in gods name are you on about? the man has brought us back on to the euro / world map . everyone and yes everyone is talking about rangers. and you think it is strange we offer him a contract? unbelievable? you do realise that a lot of negative comments from our own supporters (? ) are published on media putting our club in a negative light . think before you post!

09 Dec 2019 15:41:07
Yes I think so.

09 Dec 2019 16:10:26
What I think is a bit strange although you are totally entitled to your opinion is the posts from 1974 and yourself me2 . very strange 🤔

09 Dec 2019 16:18:58
So why offer him a new contract the now?

09 Dec 2019 16:46:39
Steve Gerrard and Dave king have put us where we are now in a short time Celtic were miles ahead were challenging now winning things will come soon people saying jury out crap he’s going to be too manager just give it bit more time.

09 Dec 2019 16:58:12
1. Because if he was to get poached we'd receive millions in compensation.
2. Because he is the best thing to have happened to Rangers for years.
3. Because it gives him some security to continue a building programme that some idiotic fans think should take about ten minutes.
4. Because he has brought respectability, admiration and positivity back to our club.
What an absolutely ridiculous post.

09 Dec 2019 17:05:42
Well said daisy yore I do wonder about some of our fans.

09 Dec 2019 17:12:16
Well said daisy and you have to wonder🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

09 Dec 2019 17:21:19
Daisy Yore 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.

09 Dec 2019 17:54:51
Daisy that certainly saves my typing finger 👍.

09 Dec 2019 17:59:59
Totally with you here daisy yore, well said pal! 👍👍.

09 Dec 2019 18:52:08
Double edge sword guys. If someone comes in for him its £££££ for compensation if we won hee haw it could be ££££ in compensation to get rid of him. The way some fans are they shall want rid of him even with all the hard work that he has done in 18 month.

09 Dec 2019 19:19:18
SG being offered a new contract a no brainer. Guy best thing for gers in a while. We're playing best football in a long time. We played outstanding yesterday and did everything but score. Not big on retrospect but they stole cup yesterday with goal 2 yards offside and if he's best ref in Scotland God help us. Finally when Fredo given ball yesterday at penalty my heart sank, because set pieces not his best.

09 Dec 2019 22:34:36
Daisy yore, I also fully endorse what you said, and molsgoals, I also agree with your comment about being strange comments. Steven Gerrard is the best thing to happen to us for years, we will be successful sooner rather than later with him in charge.

09 Dec 2019 23:29:22
Agree he's doing a decent job but at the end of the day we've won ride all, made progress in Europe which is great but can't beat a supposedly poor Celtic team when it matters.

12 Dec 2019 01:29:07
Me2, we are the first team ever to get through to groups in Europa, Sgt. Has been at Rangers 19 month, he is a manager, not a magician, decking can't believe some of the cmments about Sgt, maybe you preferred Pedro.

09 Dec 2019 14:02:00
Ed can we have a poll.
How many fans want the club to return to pre Gerrard days?
Simple yes / no option.

{Ed033's Note -

Rangers FC Poll

09 Dec 2019 15:13:05
What do you hope to achieve by that poll? Totally loaded question.

09 Dec 2019 15:32:27
What does that mean exactly John? Pre Gerard days? But being funny but can you clarify a little.

09 Dec 2019 15:46:12
Take it the yes voters must be dark siders!

09 Dec 2019 16:08:15
Yes pre Stevie. Back to Walter days?

09 Dec 2019 17:00:55
seeker, it's the only word they recognise to vote for.

09 Dec 2019 17:07:34
Quite simply pre Gerrard days are the day before we employed him.
The rubbish I read on Here about he should not get contract extension is amazing.
Best thing that has happened to our club.

09 Dec 2019 17:13:59
Care to elaborate on that daisy?

09 Dec 2019 17:14:23
I love watching the Gers under our Mr Gerrard🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

09 Dec 2019 17:14:53
Obviously no one wants that John- why I said it's a pointless poll. Doesn't mean we can't be annoyed at the result yesterday and be allowed to challenge things we don't see right.

09 Dec 2019 17:57:37
You are right of course John . I can see stevo going down as one of the best managers we ever had . hugely unlucky yesterday.

09 Dec 2019 18:24:58
Snell, not pointless in my small brain mate, it’s galling when our own turn on Sg.
They rather praise that mob and talk with them than get behind the Gers.

09 Dec 2019 19:02:20
And for the record I'm not against Stevie G in the slightest. I just don't see many comments that are and even less agreeing with the other side? They have beat us twice now and all the going for 55 chat needs to pipe down a bit until we are actually in a position of strength.

09 Dec 2019 20:22:30
Snell I know u r not, read other posts, say he can’t take us forward, we are no better, signings terrible, can’t make decisions, my daft we poll, 20% want rid off him.

09 Dec 2019 22:40:47
John25, those 20% are the dark side, and those that are not must be delusional if they think anyone worth having would touch the job if SG left because of these comments.

12 Dec 2019 01:32:52
John, the 20 per cent are the dark side, fs most of them don't know what a bar of soap is for.

9 Dec 2019 14:10:01
{Ed's Note - ReynoldsRFC has posted a new article entitled, Rangers V Celtic Cup Final Review

09 Dec 2019 13:57:58
moving on here---yesterday is done n dusted and we can't rewind time. thought we played well but 2 things changed the game ---the penalty taker and the referee---and it will happen again. countless times---fortunately its only the league cup---a trophy only recognised by the winner as silverware to go in a glass box----last 16 of Europa---league and cup double will wipe away all the tears.

09 Dec 2019 14:19:33
hahaha. would you be saying that if you won yesterday?

09 Dec 2019 16:35:03
absolutely----the betfred is bragging rights only---end of story ----bring on 55.

09 Dec 2019 18:02:35
So decee. you were not that bothered about Winning it prior to kick off.

09 Dec 2019 23:17:15
actually we would as diddy trophy only about our advancement. and you know we are coming. or you wouldn't be on here.

09 Dec 2019 13:21:28
Absolutely gutted from yesterday but also proud of the team they really couldn't have done much more on another day we win out the park. They say bad decisions by referees and linesman balance themselves out well I wish it would hurry up and start as we seem to be getting rough end of the stick just now. We now need to pick ourselves up for Thursday and go again won't be easy but I'm confident we'll be ok. Keep the faith fellow bears 55 on it's way. W. A. T. P 🇬🇧🇬🇧.

09 Dec 2019 15:34:02
Yass gow 👍.

09 Dec 2019 13:20:54
Hi
Never seen a more one sided old firm game in my life, it seems they have no answer to Rangers play.

Play well against Aberdeen and only draw, demolish Celtic and lose, I hope this does not mean we dominate Young Boys and go out of Europe.

The only good thing that came out of the final is, we all now know who's the best team, we are no longer chasing Celtic their chasing us.

Celtic better buy big in this window or fall further behind.

In Gerrard we trust.

09 Dec 2019 13:53:39
Apart from Gerrards first game at Snake Mountain and the last game at Ibrox, we have had the better of them in these fixtures. They still peddle the myth they are way ahead.

09 Dec 2019 14:21:20
They are chasing us? Fs man. Your in cloud cuckoo land.

09 Dec 2019 14:25:04
you forgetting Lennons first game back were we battered you until you scored and equaliser. but again we still won that too.

Yesterday for 55 mins we played worse than we have in 18 months and you still couldn't beat us when is mattered. an unfit hayes, unfit el yanoussi, lewis morgan up front and we still won.

celtic will spend in january and we will sign a striker. the rangers however cannot afford to buy anyone and based on yesterdays performance morelos looked no where near a 20 million pound striker, throwing himself all over the place trying to cheat the ref. 14 fouls from morelos and no booking, now that's cheating.

09 Dec 2019 14:47:59
Eggy we are chasing you, top of the league beat you twice this season, please please explain how we are chasing you.

09 Dec 2019 15:01:20
Kaney 1983

The reason Celtic were poor was because Rangers didn't allow them to even try to play, Celtic couldn't get out of own half.

09 Dec 2019 15:35:14
Behave kaney1983. 25 goals in 31 games. 13 goals in 13 games in Europe. Think Morelos has broken Larsson's goals in Europe in one season. Best striker in the league.

09 Dec 2019 16:46:09
Kaney how can u base morelos valuation on that 1 game yesterday. By your logic callum. mcgregor valued at 15mill by celtic be lucky to be worth 1 mill on yesterdays performance.

09 Dec 2019 16:58:11
brown, mcgregor, christie, morgan and forrest were all rubbish because of the gers.

the tide is turning to the blue sea of Ibrox.

I can smell the brown fear from here.

09 Dec 2019 18:05:00
Callum mcgregor who recieved a winners medal yesterday haha. we counting qualifying rounds now too boost missapen’s value.

09 Dec 2019 19:33:46
McGregor (who's a good player) value hasn't increased because he's won a league cup. How many goals has Eduardo scored this season 🤔.

10 Dec 2019 02:20:00
Edouard might not have the same amount of goals against diddy team like missapen, but yet again edouard played an important role in a big game whilst wee Alfredo floundered yet again.

10 Dec 2019 11:45:20
But surely a player of Eduardo ability would score more goals, not less against diddy teams🤔.

09 Dec 2019 13:07:57
Surely this glaring example of an "error", along with the pen (or non pen) call in the last match highlights how much VAR is required at this level. Can you imagine the squealing from the mhanks had the roles been reversed? Because it's us there is nothing said or done about it. Sick of it!

09 Dec 2019 13:29:18
VAR will be the death of football as we know it.
It’s already causing inconsistencies with certain decisions down South.
If it was used for offside only then I would be fine with that.

09 Dec 2019 15:55:27
I thought VAR might be a good idea, but as far as I can see in England, watching games it should be called VIR - video instead of referee, - as its not refs asking it for assistance its the other way around - telling refs what their decision should be even if they are happy with the decision they have made, and are not asking for help, its ridiculous in its present form!

12 Dec 2019 01:36:56
Mr paceman, it's either var or we will need to get referees that know the rules, last 2 games dropped 2 point wither the ref appauligiesed or no, then a cup is tore from us through a linesman or ref that never went to spec savers, we can't allow this too keep happening, cause let's face it it's wrong.

09 Dec 2019 13:03:50
With regards to subs used, personally I was raging when Barker was put on instead of Stewart but generally subs are an educated gamble. If Barker had torn them apart with pace I would be congratulating Gerrard on a great call. Defoe was a no brainer and katic I would have started. Had he been on at start feel he would have done them some damage at corners. Bar the pen thought Alfie played ok. Unlucky with a couple and mostly made keeper work. If I had one criticism of team it was aribo, just wish Stewart had started instead being more natural in front of goal. It's gone tho and we lost. Hope we can sick it up and use disappointment to push on for league.

09 Dec 2019 12:57:41
i don't LIKE CRITICISING PALYERS OR THE MANAGER. BUT I SEE PLENTY on here that do.
The manager regularly states that we have to learn from our mistakes. Many of us have taken the view that Goldson could do with being benched. Why? Whose pass was it that went astray at home to Celtic. Remember that ridiculous attempt of a one / two in the Hamilton where they break away and nearly score. Aberdeen mid week the chaos in the middle of the defence when they score the second goal.
Yesterday the ridiculous tackle on Edwourd that gave away the free kick that led to the goal ( offside or not ) and the only other chance Celtic had was when he was done again by Edwourd who slotted the ball through on the break and the Celtic player put it past the post. There are more. But Helander got benched after his performance against Livi. in the cup. Katic/ barisic looks the wrong way and they are benched.
The simple truth is that he has become complacent! A couple of games on the bench would do him no harm. Alfie gets benched
thoughts anybody.

09 Dec 2019 13:31:48
Congratulations, you’ve just joined the club that criticises players and the manager on here with that post. 👍😂.

09 Dec 2019 12:09:50
I think yesterday was by far our best performance of the season. We absolutely battered them from start to finish but as Andy says they have a team that knows how to get the job done. I'd rather have played terrible and won the cup.

I know it's been said in numerous posts but why did Barker get thrown on before Stewart? Gerrard said after he scored 2 from the bench recently that he was close to starting that game and yet we haven't seen him since. Barker hasn't done anything since signing and I just found it a really strange substitution.

Anyway, we take confidence from the performance and move on. No point moaning about offside goal either. We've still got to defend those better.

09 Dec 2019 12:27:27
Spot on MOC, our farside post was completely devoid of defenders at their free kick goal (offside or not) .

No point now, but wonder what would have happened if it had gone to penalties tho.

09 Dec 2019 13:32:38
Their keeper would have saved them all!

09 Dec 2019 13:50:29
Think so as well Pacman, however what's done is done Stevie has to buck up our defenders or it'll be all doom and gloom again.

09 Dec 2019 14:07:52
I reiterate what I posted last week. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY KATIC AND EDMUNSON ARE NOT AT LEAST GIVEN A CHANCE TOGETHER.

09 Dec 2019 11:50:52
Still believe the season is over yeah Rangers played ok the difference is Celtic know how to win ugly and tappy football they know how to get the job done anyone who disagrees is in denial as much I hate to say it there team is full of winners.

09 Dec 2019 12:30:21
Luck Andy pure and simple luck . nothing to do with team of winners . their goal was offside . their keeper came off line for pen . winning ugly? They were terrified . on another day it could have been 4 nil . Our keeper didn’t have to make one save? How is that winning ugly . that’s winning by pure luck my friend.

09 Dec 2019 12:31:00
Ps and they are running out of it fast.

09 Dec 2019 12:37:09
Agreed mols goals scraped by hamilton at home and somehow got win yesterday. Yesterday fills me with confidence for 29th.

09 Dec 2019 13:21:51
Goalkeeper case off the line your clutching at straws it was an awful penalty kick, Morelos just had a very rare bad day. But I do think our only chance of a trophy will be the Scottish cup unfortunately.

09 Dec 2019 14:45:42
Take Alfie's goals away, and were in big trouble, we need more people chipping in with goals, Ryan Jack is at least trying on that front. I felt (just my opinion) that Kent was missing at times yesterday, he wasn't direct enough, Alfie needs players getting in and around him to create more space, he will know himself he should have scored at least 2 yesterday, but we move on. I agree regarding Goldson, far too lacklustre these days, is he taking it for granted he'll be playing, time to give him a re-think, absolutely no need for the tackle on Edourd that led to their goal yesterday. AS a team, I think we're trying too hard at times, we just need to settle down in front of goal and the goals will flow again. Chins up, and let's get some positivity running through us all again.

09 Dec 2019 10:39:07
Apologies in advance for the long post but have a few things to say about yesterdays game

1. On another day that's a 5-0 score to us. was a borderline training session for rangers yesterday. if it wasnt for that keeper we would've embarrassed celtic who only let himself down when he joined the rest of celtic team during the I've got cramps let's waste time moment. ( last 20 mins)

2. Goal was offside. how the linesman managed to miss 3 players offside. (from a set play) is beyond me

3. The so called "unsportsmanship" for not giving ball back after they kicked ball out. the guy wasnt even injured. from 70 mins onwards they wasted time at any opportunity. so imo no, ball shouldn't have been given back

4. Morelos playing celtic looks fine to me. he missed a couple. big deal. not all about him at old firm games. had plenty more chances with other members of the team that shouldve scored.

Proud of what i saw yesterday. celtic didn't have an answer to rangers yesterday which explained the fake injuries, cramps, runny noses etc. goalkeepers getting cramp? Lol good 1.

only criticism is we didn't score when quite easily could've and should've been a high scoring game for us. and none of this is a bias post - it's the truth.

09 Dec 2019 11:35:53
Stop the 9. Never a truer word said. I remember Roy Aitken taking a throw in when it was a Rangers throw, They go up the park and score, Can’t remember the year, They are the most unsportsmanlike team ever. Always the vicTIMS. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️👍😎.

09 Dec 2019 12:36:33
enjoy the the pain.

09 Dec 2019 15:53:15
Stop the 9 👍👍👍.

09 Dec 2019 10:36:12
I'm fine with Stevie g being manager. he's the best so far, recently., but he has to buck up. Stewart came on as a sub and scored two goals not long ago and sg said, I have to think about things and lineups.

So why does he bring on Brandon Barker who hasn't been anywhere near the goal in ages? defence needs a shakeup and we need to be luckier. The bums are dogged and fight till the last minute. eg. v hamilton. We become complacent after 45. think we'll get 1 trophy this year - Any will do.

09 Dec 2019 11:28:48
Great post Rossco. Totally agree but some people of here can't have anyone say a bad word against Gerrard. You have to call as you see it.

09 Dec 2019 12:09:08
As how old r u, see when the going gets tough we get behind our team.

09 Dec 2019 13:19:51
45 john. Been going to the football for 40 years.

09 Dec 2019 13:40:53
Good. You have seen better rangers teams lose leagues and cups, u list players, and say it’s a list then make comments about loads, many don’t agree re your comments re players, you obviously don’t remember pre sourness days when we played to crowds of under 10 k,
When we got put to bottom league I said the damage done would take 10-12 years to recover from, we have to ride the storm. we were buried and will return soon with everyone support.
If the do win ten, I don’t think they will, we will return, never forget Scottish football tried to kill us, that would be much worse than ten.
We r getting better, manager is best we have had in ten years, players r getting to a level pre 202, money is slowly coming in.
Surely you don’t want to go back to, cribari, Fabre, Mitchell, shields, temple tin, aird, Mckay and Kyle et al.
One day soo we will win league then have a massive party.

09 Dec 2019 14:22:42
John25, you post above about riding the storm, never a truer word typed mate. they know there journey is coming to an abrupt halt, c'mon the Bears.

09 Dec 2019 14:57:11
John25, I can empathise with you totally, 60 years following the Gers for me, I, like you, remember the Greig era when the crows were circa 10K, not a great time, but we came through it and became stronger as a result, far too much pressure is placed on Alfie to score our goals, it's a team game, and others need to step up, I excuse Ryan Jack in this, he has been the one player most likely to score other than Alfie, I expect more from Kent TBH in the coming weeks, and, Stewart deserves a start on Thursday beside Alfie.

09 Dec 2019 15:57:20
Yasss john25 exactly my friend . did some people on here think we would win the treble? This will stand us in good stead for remainder of season . the result plus Brown’s usual predictable antics . bring it on . fills me with more confidence actually.

09 Dec 2019 19:01:34
Paul Allen I do believe we will wil the league.

09 Dec 2019 10:40:04
Every now and then the Masonic protestant establishment have to make it look like they don't favour us too much. On a serious note, when the inevitable happens and the Tims take their turn to shout about the whole world being against them, maybe the should sit down and re-run this game.

09 Dec 2019 15:52:30
@John 25. Your post is totally irrelevant. I stated that the players our manager has spent good money on has failed. The statistics are there in front of you. A lot of people including you are in total denial. I've mentioned the mistakes he making. Sure we all do, but he is not learning. SG has been in the job 18 months. Now I'm not saying win this cup and that league but he's got to start producing big time. We bottled it last year in Europe against poor opposition. 12 points behind the mhanks who were total gash! This year we will fall more points behind Celtic as we are getting used to failure. SG is too bloody stubborn or gutless to drop our captain and at least one CB. Yes the team is performing better, of that there is no doubt but we have got to start winning trophies. That's what he will be judged on. Not performances.

09 Dec 2019 10:12:01
When the Tims beat us at Ibrox plenty on here questioned Tavs ability as a captain.
When Celtic were demanding £20+ million for Tierney plenty on here were saying Tavs worth the same due to his goals and assists.
When he started to miss said penalties plenty on here were willing to chase him down Paisley Road West for a pittance.
When he suffered a drop in form plenty on here wanted him dropped from the team.
So taking all of the above into account some of you have a damn cheek accusing Tav of bottling it considering you wouldn’t have him in the team in the first place never mind on penalty duties.
And even worse you have accused Gerrard of being a liar.
Only one person made an arse of the penalty - Morelos. He takes all the plaudits when he scores the goals so he has to take the criticism when he misses the big chances.

09 Dec 2019 09:50:24
Ryan Kent needs to start living up to the hype or he will end up an expensive Ojo!
We didn’t pay £7 million for him to turn it on against a poor Hearts side or against Hamilton.
He’s supposed to be the game changer against Aberdeen away and days like yesterday.

09 Dec 2019 11:37:01
I agree and the signings of Barker and King appear to be a waste of money.

09 Dec 2019 12:40:03
Kings onloan leicester probably payin most his wage so not really a waste unkile halliday grezda docherty barker i agree. Firth etc etc.

09 Dec 2019 14:25:38
Paul86, of course King is a waste of money, if not, tell me what his loan has brought to the club.

09 Dec 2019 08:32:28
Here's a list of Stevie G signings. I'm sure I've missed some. Make your own mind up folks.

Grezda (wont play again for the club. Garbage anyway)
Lafferty (couldn't hit a barn door)
Polster (who you say? not had a chance)
King (not played)
Dochery (not played)
Hastie (on loan) can't rate yet
Ojo (got it but lazy and frustrating)
Hellander (durys out)
Barker (not had a run)
Sadiq (awful)
Worrall (bomscare)
Coulibally (brutal)
McCauley (was finished)
Ojaria (did nothing)
Kent (hes in the neutral category) done nothing since resigning but been injured. 7m wasted imo.
Stewart (Not given a chance)
Goldson. (Undroppable in SG eyes)

Pluses
Gregg's (brilliant)
Defoe (class)
Davis (class)
Barasic (came good)
Jack (fantastic)
Kamara (stole him. 7/ 10)
Arfield (definitely a plus but a shadow of the player he was last season)

09 Dec 2019 09:17:54
Well considering all those terrible signings (according to you) we're doing well then? 2 points of the top of the league, great chance to progress in Europe on Thursday. Not bad considering.

09 Dec 2019 09:34:26
Didnt sign jack or docherty.

09 Dec 2019 09:36:36
Ridiculous reply to a post that highlight that about 25% of signing have or are working out. Take out Kent, Stewart, Barker and Helander and there is no argument

P. s. you forgot #freeKatic. % success to failure is not good enough.

09 Dec 2019 09:51:54
Many of these signings were band aids on a gunshot wound mate. Was always going to be a process over a few transfer windows to get the right mix. Now that we have stability, he’s able to add one or two per window. It’s unfair to have a pop at those who he brought in initially. Judge him from the start of this season, and for me, it’s going well.

It could’ve been Mciness. Just let that sink in for a moment or two.

09 Dec 2019 09:52:36
Mr Grumpy your jumping to conclusions. I'm just stating our signings.

09 Dec 2019 10:06:27
Stevie didn’t sign docherty or jack.

09 Dec 2019 10:07:47
Yeah man that friggin keeper imagine him stopping the ball going in the goal!
That’s the difference your happy losing a game and missing loads of chances
But Celtic play bad and win the cup. difference between a wee team and a big team!

09 Dec 2019 12:02:11
As1974 u still slaughtering the team get over it and let's get behind the team for Thursday.

09 Dec 2019 14:28:28
Briggs, is that a Monday joke you typed on here?

09 Dec 2019 16:01:50
Yea 1974 if your going to slaughter signings at least get your facts right or you do make yourself look a tad silly.

09 Dec 2019 08:32:22
We will follow in the footsteps of our team. God bless them ✊.

09 Dec 2019 06:57:14
We totally dominated them in the final yesterday and if not for their big keeper, we would have had this game won by half time.
Can't fault any of our players as they totally dominated celtic the full 90 minutes. Ryan jack i thought was per usual immense in our midfield supremecy. Shows all the attributes of a future glasgow rangers captain. Even at the end jack showed how much it was hurting him. We just have to pick ourselves up and go again in europe and go and win the league title and the scottish cup. I've got no doubt we can win the double.

09 Dec 2019 10:42:48
I agree we dominated but mistakes were made again by the management, why Barker and not Stewart when Stewart would have offered more of a cutting pass when they were playing so deep, Morellos I didn’t think have as bad a game as most are making out there keeper just had one of those games the only disappointment for me apart from the result and outcome was Ryan Kent thought he was extremely poor and we didn’t spend £7m on a player to not be able to rise his game in a cup final.

09 Dec 2019 10:55:43
SGL The game yesterday reminded me off the games against them in the nineties, When Celtic often played Rangers off the park, But we would come away with a Victory, If Rangers can keep up that intensity like Yesterday, They won’t be far away come the end of the season, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️👍😎.

09 Dec 2019 06:27:22
Got to say, yes we played ok dominated possession and chances which going forward is encouraging knowing we can do this. While we still came up short yesterday I think we need to find a winning mentality and be less wasteful and more ruthless.

09 Dec 2019 10:54:12
Sums it up bgate w. but how many more times do ww need to come up short when in matters before we learn. we don't have enough guys who know how o win. people may say we do . the keeper for one Davis ( too long ago ) defoe not in team often enough in big games to influence. if I've missed any more proven winners in our team please let me know.

09 Dec 2019 00:19:34
Another cup lost due to Morelos not able to score in the big game. Why oh why let him take the pen. He had a toried game infornt of goal why take the pen.

Beside all that our man of the match Jack the guy is a unsung hero. And tbh £7m for Kent show your worth mate. Punch brown again haha. anyways sad day to lose as goal that was offside but we are clearly taking Celtic to the wire.

Come on Gers on Thursday we need this win to get the moral going again. Don't let the heads drop and on Thursday let's get Ibrox bouncing guys!

09 Dec 2019 08:55:11
Mate how can you slag Morelos? he's carried our team. If it wasnt for his goals we would be fkd.

Review Of The Day 8th December 2019

09 Dec 2019 07:39:01
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 8th December 2019

08 Dec 2019 23:58:34
Take it Morelos has now went down by about 20 million the boy has a serious mental block about scoring against that lot, hate to say it but at least Eduard scores in old firm games Fredo should've easily had a hatrick.

09 Dec 2019 06:47:11
I will probably be questioned over this but I turned to my mate as soon as I realised Alfie was taking penalty and said oh no I can’t watch this, then he hit a poor shot straight down the middle with a keeper about 6,4 he was going to stop it whatever way he dived, the very wrong decision to remove tab from pens has in my opinion cost us the cup, Kent jack or airfield were all better options, but again we got it wrong, I’ve seen Alfie miss from 25 centimetres, not just once, he is an instant impact player, not someone to trust under that pressure, poor poor decision, possibly taken just to try to get him a goal.

09 Dec 2019 08:05:32
You are right Me2 and after a performance like that from. Fredo, he should be dropped? On this forum the majority of posters want certain defenders dropped but he cost us the final yesterday and his on field antics are a disgrace jumping/ diving around!

09 Dec 2019 08:46:37
Why should he be dropped? Had a decent game, just unlucky their goalie was immense.

09 Dec 2019 09:16:59
McCoist would have been slaughtered for missing all those chances yesterday? Although he wouldn’t have missed them! The boy let the fans down🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.
