I'd rather nip down to Accies ( which I do, away Celtic tickets, and Accies at home permitting). Rather watch Accies than Scotland, I know that sounds ridiculous but if you understand my feelings to internatioanl football, I imagine you will understand. And even at Scotland games there is the underlying sectarian/ bigotry happening,

Good performance from Scotland and the past n present Bears. Naismith had a good game as did Hutton, Bardsley and Adam, just makes you wonder what happened between Charlie n Walter, always thought he would be a cracking player but Smith seems to be blinkered when it comes to players with a bit of flair.

Like I said earlier. .there is no God. The very notion of God (any god) is ridiculous. . although Henrik came pretty close. .lol.

Anyway, enough of the religous claptrap. Unless you see the human population as one nation (a noble if idealistic notion), and, as I assume you are a football fan, how can you not follow your national team? I am a passionate Celtic fan, a passionate Scotland fan and a passionate supporter of Scottish football in general. B*ll*cks to anyone who either 'supports' or 'doesn't support' a national team for parochial (sectarian?) reasons.

Scottish Republic of Ireland fans? F*ck 'em.
Scottish Northern Ireland or England fans? F*ck 'em.

Ed. Apologies for the language. Feel free to edit as you see fit. . I'm just sick of Scottish Old Firm fans going on about supporting other national teams for non-football reasons!

Atheist

Believe me Atheist and Ed, it's nothing to do with secatarian or parochial reasons (too long in the tooth for that BS). Internatonal football has never really grabbed my imagination. Fair play to the World Cup, Euro Championships, usually very enjoyable tournaments, and seeing Brazil, Argentina etc play is a pleasure, but showing suppoort for Scotland just never appealed. But I assure you if I was into international football, Scotland would defo be my team!

How can you be an atheist and believe in nothing? Nothing is actually something so you you are contradicting your own beliefs! Go work that one out, then give yourself a shake and et back to chapel or church lol {ed's note - atheism is not a belief in nothing, I think you need to stay out of the chapel and church and stop allowing yourself to be indoctrinated by it mate!}

Oh Ed! You slagging the chapel, I'll set my mammy on you for that! Be afraid Ed, be very afraid! She is deadly with a Scholl sandal up 75 metres lol

Not great fan of international football (even Eire, believe it or not) but that's a good result for Scotland, Levein seems to be getting there after some silly stuff (was it prague he played with 0 strikers). And as for Steven Fletcher, what total tosser, any player should be honoured to play for their country.

Thanks Ed. For the robots amongst you, an Atheist is someone who doesn't believe in God. To be fair, it doesn't accurately describe me (ie there is no God to believe in) but I thought Athiest was something you'd understand if not agree with. Anyway, back to the football. .Scotland are two up against Northern Ireland ;-)

Ooh Sickbhoy, what did you say?

It wasn't a derogatory or offensicve post, the Ed will back me up, it was a story loosely football related, I just thought both halves of the divide would like to know it, but I see the Ed's point concerning family etc with what I agreed was not 100% substantiated. And I hope no one ever finds out!

Ooh Sickbhoy, what did you say?

Anyway, after much deliberation, I have decided to call myself 'Atheist', (I'm the guy that started the 5 * debate and congratulated Broony on his quality bear baiting). Not sure how 'Atheist' will sit with the Catholics and Protestants but I don't really care. . it's the football that I care about. And, to use a football cliche. .at the end of the day. .there is no God. The very notion of God is ridiculous (Ed, that's not an unsubstantiated rumouruthern Ireland match, I'd love it if Broony could replicate his El-Hadji Diouf celebration. Wouldn't it be funny if it was in McCourt's face?

{Editor's Note: You will appreciate that it is inappropriate to publish your post SickBhoy. I understand that there was no bad language or anything else that would kick off the swearotron, but it is unsubstantiated rumour and not really where we want to go.}

Hi all- I've been hearing a lot about our "dire" financial situation and LTSB. I wanted to share with you some figures. .

Our published accounts to 30 June 2010 show that our Bank debt incorporating a Term Loan and overdraft facilities reduced by £3.7m last year to £22.3m (2009 - £26.1m).

This was despite paying off £8million in historic transfer fees (which left £1.2million still to pay).

The term loan, repayable over 19 years, stands at £19m which will mean repayments of £1million per year + interest.

So, if we had Bank Debt of £22.3m and £19m of that was a long term loan, then our working overdraft would be £3.3m, which is well within the £15m revolving credit facility (overdraft limit) that we have: £11.7m within it to be exact.

On 30 June 2010, we had an overdraft of £3.3 million, but the previous year we managed to reduce our overdraft by £3.7m.

Our net operating expenses reduced by £13mill from £56mill in 2008 to £43.8mill in 2010.

Our debt to equity (gearing) ratio was reduced last year to 38% (2009 - 47%).

Crucially, the £15m revolving credit facility with Lloyds/ HBOS, was in place till 31 December 2010 and the only possible explanation that Rangers find themselves under pressure could be that the Bank have renewed this at a much lower level.

If that is the case, then the problem could be down to cash flow, as I don't think the UEFA money is received for a few months yet.

Our Champions League campaign this season has guaranteed us 9.2million Euros + TV Revenue (in 2008 Celtic got 6.2 million Euros) + gate receipts, which should easily total around £16million. On top of that, we will get a further 200,000 Euros for qualifying for the Europa League, plus TV and gate receipts and another £300,000 Euros + TV and gate receipts should we get past Sporting Lisbon. That amount would, of course, increase with each round should we advance.

It certainly makes the banks' position more interesting. And as for Rangers having an overdraft of £35mil. .it's nonsense. I am a shareholder and have the accounts breakdown. I've just written most of it down for you!
