Good result tonight, Niko had a better day today!

Also see there was a few good results tonight for supposed underdogs in the cup games.

10 Aug 2016 00:05:04
Rossiter is a joy to watch - :)

10 Aug 2016 00:09:43
I would play the team we had out in the first half there on saturday. I like the look of dodoo. Hopefully he can put performances like tht in for the league games.

10 Aug 2016 03:53:42
Rossiter should be the first name on the team sheet. He looks to have been the signing of the season! Also good to see Dodoo looking good. An excellent all round performance and ideally there won't be too many changes for the Dundee game.

10 Aug 2016 04:50:25
Got to be realistic and remember the opposition nut you can only beat what's in front of us. dodoo, rossiter, moh hot to start for me on sat. just a matter of tome before rossiters an ever present i think.

10 Aug 2016 08:41:06
To be honest, I wasn't overly impressed with the tempo or professionalism last night. I think we didn't hassle them and took the foot off from half time.

O'Halloran looks like a wasted jersey, he just doesn't fit into the style of the team, he needs space in behind, and when he has it, we don't clip it over the top or slide it down the channel.

Rory McAllister was bullying Kiernan at times as well early on.

10 Aug 2016 10:50:46
Blue blazer I don't know what game you were watching mate but I don't think it was the same one a was. MOH looked deadly down the right and McAllister never had a shot on target.

10 Aug 2016 11:03:57
It just shows you what a subjective world this is! I disagree with every point Blue Blazer. Thought Kiernan strolled through the game. McAllister hardly got a kick. O'Halloran ran riot on the right and created goals. I know it was Peterhead but quite frankly we blew them off the park with pace and power.

10 Aug 2016 11:18:33
Not sure that O Halloran ran riot but it was a very comfortable win. They were really poor and offered nothing throughout the game.

10 Aug 2016 14:17:54
I think MOH done enough to get a atsrat on Saturday and rossiter is a cert but the defence only strolled through the game as there wasn't an attack from them at all last night.
I think dodoo with his runs off the shoulder will be a great for us this season just the type of player we need up front and hopefully one he scores a couple nothing will stop him with a bit of confidence.

10 Aug 2016 17:25:38
Rossiter and dodoo must start on sat and even moh must be in with a shout. i think we can take a chance on krankjar aswell if barton and rossiter make up for his lack of running.

09 Aug 2016 21:23:40
Anybody know why we only have 6 on the bench tonight?

09 Aug 2016 21:43:45
Wilson pulled out with a sickness.

09 Aug 2016 22:32:15
Don't you think 6 is enough as can only use 3 anyway. Never seen the issue with wanting to many subs. 2 defenders 3 mid/ forwards 1 goalkeeper more than enough.

09 Aug 2016 19:20:45
David Bates on the bench for tonight's game.

09 Aug 2016 20:27:27
EH?

09 Aug 2016 20:58:03
defender on loan from Raith.

09 Aug 2016 21:10:17
Don't stay at bates motel, aghhhhhh.

09 Aug 2016 21:25:28
Think that's young CD on loan from Raith Rovers?

09 Aug 2016 23:14:57
So according to wiki he is on loan to the u20s until January. Very strange one indeed.

09 Aug 2016 19:24:29
Good luck big norman.

09 Aug 2016 19:04:14
Nice to see some changes for tonight's game with Rossiter, Hodson, Dodoo and O'Halloran all starting. Would have liked to see Holt starting instead of Kranjcar though. I see Lafferty has been fined Β£23,000 by his club for the betting scandal. Don't want him anywhere near Ibrox.

09 Aug 2016 19:56:26
Hi bears.1st post! Think niko needs the game to improve sharpness do think he b better suited to playing deepest of the 3 'forwards' with rossiter Barton and maybe Holt forming a strong midfield trio.

09 Aug 2016 20:49:47
Fined by his club? He ain't got a club.

09 Aug 2016 21:47:04
Norwich.

09 Aug 2016 22:12:18
Hes still under contract at Norwich.

10 Aug 2016 10:33:46
I hear fanni is a right back but I personally would play him in the hole.

09 Aug 2016 18:50:24
Anybody know what has happened to Andy Murdoch and Robbie Crawford?

09 Aug 2016 19:14:27
There not good enough to be brutally honest doubt theyl evee make the 1st team.

09 Aug 2016 19:34:52
Murdoch is good enough.

09 Aug 2016 19:58:44
Rod Fanni anybody? πŸ˜‚.

09 Aug 2016 20:35:09
Disagree caw i'd love to see tge youth come through but wouldn't be surprised if murdoch spent most of his career outside the top league on another note rossiter has to start on sat looks a smasher.

09 Aug 2016 20:38:04
Abit unfair on Murdoch i think. i'd have him before halliday.

09 Aug 2016 20:59:46
Really just shows how different people see things I suppose but I personally doubt wel ever see murdoch in a bears top again.

09 Aug 2016 21:46:08
Tbh I think Halliday is streets ahead of young Murdoch. I find it hard to believe the criticism Andy Halliday gets from fellow Gers fans. The guy has been playing out of position for more than a season and has done very well imo.

09 Aug 2016 22:03:53
I don't think he's a superstar but i really think halliday gets an easy ride fron the supporters because he's diehard. think if he was any1 else with his limited ability he'd get a harder time.

09 Aug 2016 19:25:41
Crawford was never going to make it murdoch was ok but better players like rossiter and barton in that position.

09 Aug 2016 18:41:39
daily record. rod fanni offered a contract by rangers. but record sport understands he is not being considered by the ibrox club. what rubbish reporting is that typical record.

09 Aug 2016 18:44:56
A fanni at ibrox, wow you will be signing Frankieboy soon I imagine lol.

09 Aug 2016 18:52:07
Don't laugh we've had a few over the years.

09 Aug 2016 20:39:55
try and get bobo balde out of retirement lads lol, good pairing in the middle :)

09 Aug 2016 18:29:00
I see w are in for a fanni and it's not big kyle.

10 Aug 2016 23:36:32
Haha! I can hear the abuse the boy Fanni will get already guys. Even tops Jerome Rotham man. Canny be good for these foreign players coming to here to get teased. Mind you, better than bein Andy Walker.

09 Aug 2016 18:08:00
Good luck to the young lad Dodoo tonight.

09 Aug 2016 18:25:03
Agreed Fd, think this lad will come good. He's quick, with an eye for goal. Different from what we have. Would love to see him play up top through the middle.

09 Aug 2016 19:19:55
I work with lot of Leicester city season ticket holders and they all say they are gutted Dodoo left as he is a very good player and will score goals.

09 Aug 2016 18:44:34
Play him through the middle.

09 Aug 2016 17:22:14
So DK comes out with January for any signings. Didn't MW say that the January transfer window was no good?

09 Aug 2016 17:33:13
In January he will promise spending next summer. Always tomorrow and never today.

Sky sports have an article on website highlighting the facts.

The facts are he promised to invest 20-30 million and so far has only put up short term directors loans.

09 Aug 2016 19:11:46
If Dave King had invested Β£30m to get us out the Championship I'd be terrified. What he's spent is fine in relation to where we are right now.
He's backed the manager on signing 9 soon to be 11 players, if we fall short this year I don't think anyone should blame the board.
I said on here yesterday and I'll repeat it today, Wait till the transfer window shuts (which is over 3 weeks away) then start moaning if your not happy with this years squad. Until then your moaning about something that isn't even concluded yet. Out of interest who would you rather was in charge Mr Nice? Not a lot of people wanted us and out of those that did DK has been by far the most successful since Murray left. Careful what you wish for.

09 Aug 2016 19:50:00
We all know Dave King is a liar. I just wish he wouldn't lie to the fans.

Anyone who follows our finances will know that we are skint and can't afford to spend much on players. On account of what we have just been through I would not want us to overspend at the risk of putting our future in jeopardy. So if the board just came out and were honest and said look we can't afford to spend until we steady the ship, the vast majority of us would understand and accept that. However, Dave King tells us he will invest 30M, that he will put in his kids inheritance, that he will over invest, etc.

I just wish he would stop spouting this pish as we are not stupid and actually remember what he has promised. So when fans try to hold him to account, then he only has himself to blame for making these stupid claims.

09 Aug 2016 20:44:12
After the conmen we've had in the last 4yr (we all know who i'm talking abt) i can't believe the flak dk taking. we're playing a great brand of football, have a right good manager and we're back to signing decent players. remember daly, black, cribari, faure etc. count ourselves fortunate wer we are now bears.

09 Aug 2016 22:22:53
It's took 33 million recon for the journey. Has that not terrified you mate? Still no credit line from any Bank, more loans will be needed, no listing, retail a disaster. DK has put up less than a million so far yet folk think he has shelled out loads.

10 Aug 2016 17:29:32
It must be true if sky sports highlighted the facts. is this the same channel that said the red imp goalscorer done 6yr in jail πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

09 Aug 2016 16:32:55
Agbonlahor
Think he on his way.

09 Aug 2016 17:35:42
On his way to where? Out of villa park, frees him up to smoke his shisah pipe- like his career a puff of smoke.

09 Aug 2016 16:40:05

I reckon Daniel Osvaldo is worth a gamble bit of a social hand grenade in the past but I think he would be determined to show brittish football what he can do after his failed stint at Southampton. Would cost nothing and I guarantee he would score a rake of goals in the spl.

09 Aug 2016
New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, Agbonlahor

09 Aug 2016 16:43:33
I'm n way to capital city. signing for hibs πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

09 Aug 2016 16:47:23
☝🏻️ should read, on way to capital city.

09 Aug 2016 17:07:06
That is great news - Agbonlahor and RVP in the same team.

TBBab.

09 Aug 2016 17:40:31
Gers or Hibs?

09 Aug 2016 17:48:28
My money's on Fulham.

09 Aug 2016 14:20:20
Is the game on TV tonight?

09 Aug 2016 14:34:31
No mate, Β£15 a ticket but if you can go.

09 Aug 2016 21:42:49
The commentary on rtv is ridiculous it's so bad surely the next signing has to be a commentator the guy tries but dear oh dear it's god awful.

09 Aug 2016 14:33:33
I was thinking the same bud. Don't get off work till 7:30 so hopping to catch a bit of it.

09 Aug 2016 12:11:30
I can see a scoring frenzy tonight. Young lad coming in with his chance to make a name for himself now that fatty waghorn is injured. I've never rated waggy, yes he has scored a few goals but all of them are goals your granny could have knocked in with her zimmer frame. Dodoo hat trick for me tonight. Time to step up and play!

09 Aug 2016 12:20:43
Charming.

09 Aug 2016 12:23:50
Think your being very harsh on Waghorn ok maybe there are question marks about him however give him the chance to prove himself in the premiership and think the references to his weight out of order.

09 Aug 2016 12:26:42
100% agree on waghorn mate. i think it might even be a blessing that he's out for a few weeks. not that i like to see our players get injured but i thot we played some of our best stuff last season when he was missing.

09 Aug 2016 12:35:26
I agree to fair points being made on a guys strike ratio dependent on league but at the end if the day he a rangers player coming in to a gers website and hurling personal insults . yeah what a support your magic.

09 Aug 2016 12:48:45
For me personally waggy is one of our most important players and would always be a starter me always gives 100% for jersey.

09 Aug 2016 12:54:41
Oh come on I'm a blue nose thru and thru. I spend my blue pound only on my club and I'm entitled to criticise like the next man. I just feel this is exactly the chance the new guys need. Waggy came in last year and did his bit then got injured. Then he knocks back an extension as he feels he deserves better. MOH and the rest deserve a run in this team instead of sticking with the usual culprits upfront. Let's see how they perform now that they have a chance.

09 Aug 2016 13:01:45
waghorn and Miller are not good enough.

09 Aug 2016 13:03:00
That was some tap in he scored on saturday and some tap in he scored at firpark in league cup and what about the tap in he scored in 4.2 over hibs last season when he beat 2 hibs players and slotted it home great tap in πŸ€”.

09 Aug 2016 13:12:22
Yes a goal fest tonight against lowly peterhead and we will be world beaters again and posters on here stating it will be 4 or 5 nothing on sat against Dundee. let's just get wins . never mind this mindless 5-0 predictions.

09 Aug 2016 13:25:27
Miller definitely not up to Rangers standard, Waggy a great old fashioned inside forward but not a natural striker. Still have to the end of the month to get a striker and CB.

09 Aug 2016 13:30:15
Really don't understand why fans are turning on waghorn and McKay. They are among our most consistent and best players. Not saying they are top class players, but they are the best we have got.

It's not their fault that we haven't signed a striker that could take advantage of their good play or a defender that can keep door closed at other end.

09 Aug 2016 13:52:59
Agree mr nice, also think we need to get a grip and realise where we are and have come from. Looking forward to game tonight.

09 Aug 2016 15:35:04
My problem wth waghorn is he takes to many touches when a simple pass is on nothing to do with his workrate which is great to be fair to him.

09 Aug 2016 16:28:00
Robbie I don't disagree about your opinion we're all entitled to voice on rangers but your post was a personal insult labeling a current rangers player as fatty by all means come on and say you don't rate him on his goals or play but no need for childish insults I do agree with ya on moh getting a run though and would like to see dodoo with moh and McKay on wings maybe windass when fit just behind main striker I like his energy and have Bart's and rossiter behind them controlling games.

09 Aug 2016 16:32:27
On second thoughts I'd rest McKay and play Forrester.

09 Aug 2016 16:43:45
I think Martyn Waghorn gives 100 per cent and I think he will sign a contract extension. My main issue with him is he is so one footed- several chances came to him on his right foot on Saturday where if he could have hit them immediately he might have scored but instead he had to take an extra touch to get it on his left and the chance was gone or the defender got a block in. As a result he's a trier but don't think he'll ever be a consistently top goalscorer for us (even though he's got 5 for us so far)

09 Aug 2016 16:43:01
The guy is anything but fat absolute πŸ’© from you yes you are entitled of your opinion as much as the next guy but have to disagree I like waghorn and a fit waghorn will start all the time in our squad most of our goals this season already have came from the man.

09 Aug 2016 18:17:17
Guys, I'm not McKay's greatest fan, however I thought he played his best football last year when waghorn was out. He was able to move across the front line (goal v Celtic) unlike when waghorn is playing he is stuck out left as a one trick pony.
Let him run and have a bit of freedom.
Onward and upward.

09 Aug 2016 20:04:19
Good post bill72.dont want to keep harping on abt waggy but think we attack better without him. i knw it sounds strange considering his goals return but need to remember a few wer pens.

09 Aug 2016 16:56:48
"I've never rated wavy, yes he has score a FEW goals but all of them are goals that your granny could have knocked in with her Zimmer frame"

Serial?

1. You don't know my granny
2. She's been dead for some time so scoring a goal would truly be a miracle
3. If your granny could score goals like Waggers against Motherwell in league cup and hivs last year then may ask what her current contract situation is? Think we could get her on a free? What would her wages be like? What's her temperament like? Don't worry if she's a hot head with talent because MW and DW will give her the TLC she needs to let her ability do the talking.

09 Aug 2016 08:33:33
I see Aston Villa have let Agbonlahor go on a free transfer. He was a good player but recently I think there has been some bother and the wheels came off. Can score goals though. Worth a punt? As for tonight, I agree with the team posted by Warbs but would have Rossiter and Holt in the team and rest Barton.

{Ed001's Note - check his goal record, he is not a good player or goalscorer. Fat and lazy he is, but goalscorer he is not.}

09 Aug 2016 09:08:50
A bit like Charlie Adam you mean? lol.

{Ed001's Note - except that Adam went on an intensive training regime with a local boxer while at Blackpool to try and fix his fitness issues. Agbonlahor does nothing about his.}

09 Aug 2016 11:29:38
I take it that's a no then!

{Ed001's Note - I guess. They both had fitness issues, the difference is Adam had a much better attitude towards them. Agbonlahor is one of those players robbing a living.}

09 Aug 2016 11:32:37
He looked pretty ripped when he signed for Palace in January, not that it helped him he couldn't buy a start never mind a goal. Part of me still thinks he could smash it up here though.

{Ed001's Note - that was Adebayor you are thinking of.}

09 Aug 2016 12:09:33
How can you get them mixed up? Does answer begin with a r?

09 Aug 2016 15:37:25
I think Agbonlahor could be a great shout. Recent managers have tried to use him on the wing because of his pace and it hasn't worked. He's not enjoyed his football and had some fallings out with managers. 29, pacey, can score when played as a striker and on form. Given the chance to kickstart his career under MW may be just the thing. then again he could be a dud. but he seems to tick the boxes for MW type of player.

09 Aug 2016 10:09:10
I've said it all along he's fat and lazy he used to be a decent player but not now the kid from Newcastle looks a better prospect young can score goals and wants to prove him self.

09 Aug 2016 07:24:36
First priority has to be a centre half. I have a feeling that the Marriapa deal is not dead however if it is could we get Wes Brown? Dom Balls name also keeps popping up but I think we need someone with more experience.

Up front seems to be proving difficult to recruit for. I would like to see them sign Stewart from Dundee on a pre contract in Jan. in the imitate future I think a loan deal for the season appears to be our best bet of bringing in a quality addition.

09 Aug 2016 12:28:52
Marriappa would have happened by now if it was going to and don't get me started on ball. average at best and couldn't split the 2 dumplings that wer at centre half.

09 Aug 2016 12:28:52
Marriappa would have happened by now if it was going to and don't get me started on ball. average at best and couldn't split the 2 dumplings that wer at centre half.

09 Aug 2016 13:32:08
Dom ball is at the same level as Kiernan and Wilson- and couldn't break up their pairing in championship.

He isn't the answer.

09 Aug 2016 08:25:02
Agree with your post your just saying what every Rangers fan is thinking been reading a lot about Dave kind and a lot of very disbelieving rangers fans about promises not kept by Dave King.
I just want everything to click a few players in us to stay afloat and us to mount a challenge against Aberdeen hearts and celtic but it's not always as easy as that.
Who nos what's going on up stairs at ibrox and on the pitch we are lacking fitness defenders and a top striker.
All we can do as fans is get behind the players we have and hope the board keep up there end and run the club the way in ment to be run. This Peterhead game mite a blessing take the pressure off and we could score afew and find a new cf in dodoo till we bring in sumone

I'm putting a fiver on a dodoo hat trick.

09 Aug 2016 07:03:37
According to the s*n this morning we're interested in newcastle utd young striker adam armstrong on loan, would be a good signing if we can get him he scored a good few while on loan at coventry city last season, he would score for fun up here and the way we play, the only thing is I doubt mike ashley would allow him to come to us.

09 Aug 2016 08:27:07
Agree think he would be a great signing but can't see Ashley allowing him to move up to us.

09 Aug 2016 09:59:56
Warbs? Surely you don't buy that rag never mind read it?

09 Aug 2016 10:25:36
Oh for a Ron McKinnon or even an Amoruso!

09 Aug 2016 12:35:27
Not saying it will happen but Benitez has full Control over football matters at Newcastle. Him and F McP had a good working relationship at Liverpool.

09 Aug 2016 13:33:54
I'd say over MAs dead body, but I'm sure he'd rise from dead to stop it.
