08 Sep 2016 19:49:38
I was reading ray (butch) wilkins today regarding the joey barton v scott brown midfield battle, butch said that barton is undoubtedly the better midfielder for which I for one totally agree with, if barton plays well he'll dominate and walk all over brown! So go on joey son, keep cool and show broony and co just how good you are, if barton dominates the midfield it should make the difference and win us the game, I love when celtic are over confident!

08 Sep 2016 20:35:52
Im nervous about saturday, l always am before these games though. I was at semi final last year and didn't even have a pint before the match, although I had a few after. But when you say over confident, i would say from news paper articles i have read, that their manager actually comes across as arrogant. Warburton seems to be a gentleman. Its just my opinion, and its only newspaper articles i'm going by. Any ways. I hope we pump them on saturday. I wish i was going, but i will be at both at ibrox. C'mon rangers.

08 Sep 2016 20:56:31
A Thot he would have been bossing the midfield from day 1 I'm his biggest fan football wise
But he's not at his best YET playing golf and going here and the pre season when the team was in the USA he's not up to speed nither is niko
When they hit top form we will be some team
I see a cracking squad with huge potential crooks to come in big send at the back could be a player we have been crying out for, windass is ready to explode in this league, holt to come back wags tavs game winners wee Barry to find his feet dodoo to come back WOW.

09 Sep 2016 09:39:25
we are simply the best and now we have to start believing that and I hope 7-0 is the confidence boost we need.

09 Sep 2016 11:28:25
One game can turn everything around, especially against them.

09 Sep 2016 11:20:02
ex-rangers player says the current rangers players are better than current Celtic players, lmfao . Sounds as if butch has been on something mind altering again. Hope he didn't drive to the interview.

09 Sep 2016 14:18:25
Fab, he's only doing what Harston, Sutton, Nicholas, Walker, MacLeod, Miller and Bonner (to name but seven ex Celtic"unbiased" media pundits) are doing but the other way round. He is bigging up the team he used to play for just like they do-ALL THE TIME (except when Sutton wanted rid of Deila) . Would you expect otherwise?

09 Sep 2016 17:23:25
how dare an ex ger stick up for rangers! shame on him.

08 Sep 2016 16:21:47
Hi guys, I just watched kenny millers press conference, i would suggest to any other fans that don't really like kenny to watch it, it's pure class, watch it guys.

08 Sep 2016 19:41:01
I back your class statement 100% Delboy9!Kenny miller is pure class and a wonderful role model for glasgow rangers football club, kenny's a thoroughbred and imo a future glasgow rangers manager! He'll also score against them on saturday!

08 Sep 2016 20:58:00
I've backed him to get player of the month in a compo on rfc site.

09 Sep 2016 10:15:44
Kenny Miller is and has always been my favourite player at the club. His attitude on and off the park has always been outstanding. As a player he always gives his best and some of his link up play is top notch, he isn't scared to help win ball back even in his own half occasionally and scores important goals especially away from home and against that mob.
My theory why he has never been scoring 30 a season is because he's not a potent penalty box striker who suits our style more when playing with 10 behind the ball.
At International level, European games and against better sides he scores more often as these guys come to play and not defend so he has a higher line to exploit and that's where he can get in behind.
Got to be worth a goal 2m 🔴⚪️🔵.

09 Sep 2016 12:01:33
I find it mad that anyone of our fans would not like Kenny Miller
He is class 100%
Good call as a future manager.

08 Sep 2016 16:04:29
Wishing our team and the manager the very best of luck on Saturday. I can't see us not conceding but I believe honestly if we play our game as well as we can we can beat them. Good luck to Warburton and the Famous Glasgow Rangers, Ready.

09 Sep 2016 10:20:38
Without being biased I genuinely believe Rangers won't score less than 2 judging by Hapoel home and away and St Johnstone in recent games. I would also admit they will score anything between 1-3 if LG plays 1-2 if not.
4/ 6 on BTTS is free money
4/ 1 K Miller to score anytime is got to be worth a bet.

09 Sep 2016 11:46:14
Have had a dream we win 2-1, so I'm sticking a tenner on that with Miller to score the winner.

09 Sep 2016 12:45:16
Think we need a reality check here, Hapoel would comfortably beat us in isreal.
More than two at parkhead is rediculous haha.

Would take a draw but you never know let's home we can sneak something!

08 Sep 2016 12:48:16
Hi Guys, does anybody know why the rangers youtube page don't do the 90 in 90 seconds anymore? Was a great way to watch the games if you weren't able to go to it.
Also, before anyone ask's i refuse to watch sportscene when boner and m. stewrat are on it haha.

08 Sep 2016 15:05:14
get rangers tv then mate and watch in on that or highlights on the rangers website.

08 Sep 2016 17:34:03
Because no one owned the rights to our broadcasts/ replays last season.

08 Sep 2016 18:25:59
Add the kodi add-on if you have it - u get 90 in 90 on that and more.

08 Sep 2016 18:30:32
get Rangers tv and support yer team lol.

08 Sep 2016 18:43:38
so they make money from rangers tv i guess. Made me subscribe to it, so it worked :)

08 Sep 2016 18:50:53
What's the kodi add on called.

{Ed039's Note - follow follow)

08 Sep 2016 12:00:42
Im surprised we ain't in for Boughi, but Kilmarnock are in talks to sign him? Really don't see why we haven't jumped on this tbh.

08 Sep 2016 12:29:55
Pretty obvious is it not? if your only offer available is the mighty Kilmarnock chances are you are past it?

08 Sep 2016 14:30:27
He's past it. Not sure why every old player immediately becomes a potential solution to current issues on here.

08 Sep 2016 14:42:42
I'm thinking the same mate if he comes all the way to Scotland and we don't try and make a move I'd be gutted
I hope Rangers have seen that he may join killie and try and get him in.

08 Sep 2016 14:50:24
Onlyshowaround

Not sure we are in a position to slag Killie off as we couldn't beat them.

08 Sep 2016 15:07:56
the guy sint past it has better legs than lescott not the pedigree but he would play with heart and love for our team and knows what its all about and wouldn't cost a lot of money him and senders would be a good partnership and he is a lot lot better than clint hill who for me is definitely past it.

08 Sep 2016 15:16:18
Yeah quite right we couldn't beat them, difference is we will be a top 3 team by may, they will be a bottom 3 team by may.

08 Sep 2016 15:31:18
Biffo what's your thoughts, about Saturday and what team would you pick - I know we agree to differ on some things but we both want the best for the gers.

08 Sep 2016 15:34:39
Ppl forget he was good 6yr ago. he's bn playining in the sun since then topping up his pension but everyone just presumes he's still some player when know one has seen him in that time.

08 Sep 2016 15:51:53
biffo mate I don't know u but u really do ma head in I don't think I've ever read more negative and derogatory posts form any other rangers fan are u sure your not a tim in disguise.

when it comes to one off games in the league we have been beat by a lot worse off of worse so I don't think what your saying is right we can't slag off killie because the managed to play a blinder and we where rubbish c'mon mate it won't be long until we get back to banging in the goals and playing with style.

08 Sep 2016 17:23:13
Couldn't beat Killie so I agree we can't slag them and you can't say Boughy past it when we signed Clint hill who is slower and about 4 years older I know which one I'd have as cover!

08 Sep 2016 18:19:04
If he's past it he's past it but as a fellow Rangers fan not 100 percent happy with our defence would it not make Sence and give him a trial and let the manager and coaching staff make the decisions.

08 Sep 2016 20:29:26
James Stirling

Back to the default setting of you must be a tim when you don't like my posts. I only tell it how I see it and maybe it is negative buts it honest. Can you please be specific about the derogatory posts please?

08 Sep 2016 20:36:46
afcw191

I think this will be team

Foderingham
Tavernier
Wallace
Kiernan
Senderos
Barton
Halliday
Forrester
McKay
Garner
Miller

However could be totally wrong and tbh I'm not sure what team I would pick. I do worry about the first 20 mins when they will come at us, I wouldn't play Kiernan but Watburton seems to like him. Think we would also need more pace so I would probably throw in O'Halloran from the start instead of Garner and hope he finally delivers.

09 Sep 2016 10:53:13
I can say one thing biffo your not alone in your hatred of an absolute legend who if it weren't for him we would be in the bin and rangers would just be a memory.

the guys tactics wasn't good and he wasn't a good manager, but the guy saved us.

every rangers fan out there thought first whyte then green would be our answer and they where saying all the right things to get ally to believe in them aswell.

so anyone would accept a big salary if they where promised the world and would back their chairman.

put yourself in his position we where all desperate for a saviour and when sum1 says that saviour is me we all believed in them. and once it came to light that they weren't he left.

I would have done the same.

09 Sep 2016 11:13:03
Cheers biffo - Agree about keirnan - if Wilson is fit I'd play him with senderos - I have to have Rossiter in the team. I'd have a more defensive midfield and drop garner or forrester for him and halliday- and have waghorn up front with mckay and Miller - looks like some bench with holt, Windass, forrester, ohalloran and garner - changes on the hour for Halliday and waghorn and mckay with Windass, garner and forrester. - Hope that makes some sense. - It's tricky.

09 Sep 2016 15:05:33
James Stirling

Your 100% wrong if you think every Rangers fan was behind Whyte and Green. The previous board warned Murray about the type of person Whyte was and many a Sheffield Utd supporter warned us about the type of guy Green was like. Also can you explain how exactly we wouldn't have had a club had it not been for Ally as I believe even if he had walked away the club would still be here today.

08 Sep 2016 08:48:33
out of all the people who could comment saying Rangers are 2 or 3 years away from Celtic it had to be Ally McCoist, I'm sure his fantastic recruitment really helped us to develop as a club.

08 Sep 2016 08:57:08
He' puttin more pressure on that mob mate and less pressure on our players by saying that.

08 Sep 2016 09:23:29
Anyone but Ally should've said it mate. It would mean more from anyone else. His failed time at rangers will be highlighted for it instead of pressure being put on Rangers.

08 Sep 2016 09:33:24
Celtic**** Sorry Morning brain still on. Need Coffee.

08 Sep 2016 09:49:02
I think he should be keeping his trap shut. He made enough out of the club in his time as Rangers "manager" if you can call what he was doing managing the team.

08 Sep 2016 09:59:15
WhatATeam

Do you really think they will feel under more pressure after the comments made but one of the worst managers in the clubs history? As a previous person said its down to his staggering inability as a manager that we may be 2 or 3 years away from them.

08 Sep 2016 10:41:49
Well said Biffo316 although why say he was one of the worst managers in our history? He was by far the worst.

Thank God we now have a man who understands how to set up a football team in charge.

08 Sep 2016 10:48:43
He was a an awful manager during the most awful time in the club's history.

Our own chairman even said that 2nd should be a minimum requirement this season or words to that effect. Nit really as controversial as some make out.

Anyway, if people realise the guys judgement was horrible as a manager, why do they take any notice of his judgement now? Doesn't make a bit of sense.

Let the great legend Ally McCoist have his "opinion" like everyone else.

08 Sep 2016 10:55:36
The guys a veteran of the old firm fixture and also our record goal scorer, he deserves an opinion.
I do agree though that his recruitment is the reason we have had to have such an overhaul the last few seasons. Let's remember Mccoist never had a Mcparland, and the players he did bring in should have served him and the Club better.

08 Sep 2016 11:10:29
Doubt we'd have Warburton without Ally.

We can thank him for that as well as being our all time top goalscorer.

08 Sep 2016 11:28:14
Recbob

How can you even try to defend McCoist as manager? You know we were around long before McPharland came to the club and have managed to pick up some decent players. Ally was a disgrace as manager with his atrocious non football approach, his inability to bring youth through and his ability to make sure the players he bought to the club went backwards.

08 Sep 2016 11:44:03
He is a Rangers legend but during his time as manager I lost so much respect for him I no longer value his footballing opinion! We could of won those leagues with youngsters instead he brought in Sandaza, Kevin Kyle and Ricky Foster on hefty wages! Assuming he had no gun held to his head at the time he lucky he escaped being sectioned!

08 Sep 2016 11:49:36
Onlyshowintown i also noticed durranty gave much the same opinion, great players both of them, mccoist had the opportunity to do as mw is now doing, mcpartland has been a gem, i thought mccoist would have down the route that mw has now done, using young player to get us back to the top league, if he had done so he could have walked away with his head held high.

instead he got older players (obviously mccoist thought the older guys would have got us back to the top league, but alas, even if the older guys had got us back to top league, we would now be looking for a full team as the old guys wouldnt have cut it, mccoist was more interested in the money (penny shares / wages)

08 Sep 2016 12:23:30
RFCInfinity

Well said mate.

08 Sep 2016 12:31:04
I honestly think he has lost his Legend status.

08 Sep 2016 12:33:06
Think the club was going backwards regardless of who the gaffer was Biffo.

08 Sep 2016 14:53:01
The players went back with him in charge. He had the chance to sign Scot Allen but instead gave Kyle Hutton another contract think that pretty much sums him up.

08 Sep 2016 15:03:01
Alastair McCoist Rangers Legend, Dad, family man and good guy. Held us together through our darkest hours almost single handed. None of us know what he all went through. So he is and always will be a Rangers Legend.

08 Sep 2016 15:14:55
hate people that slate ally mcoist he done his best in what was a horrible time for the club most people didn't want to manage us and yes he was a manager not a good one but probs the only one that would have stuck around through all he put up with he was also our pr guy trying to help outwith the team and trying to keep everyone happy the guy deserves a standing ovation .
just because he took the money owed to him he is a bad guy go and take yerself fur a sh*te.

the guy in real life is funny and down to earth and always has time for people aswell as being the greatest goal scorer rangers ever will see.

people need to get a grip of themselves and let go the hatred they have towards him seriously acting like that other lot.

08 Sep 2016 15:34:12
big john u say he had the chance to do what warbs is doing now but as usual u don't know what u are talking about.

ally never had a chairmans support the way warbs has and he had to play with a lot of youngsters and scott allan wasn't a good player back then and I still think he is guff had one half of a good season and evrryone was saying oh he is brilliant am I the only one that didn't want him that badly.

08 Sep 2016 16:02:54
Biffo in one breath your saying he never gave youth a chance, the next your saying he should have binned a Rangers youth player and brought in Allen. He also gave McKay, Mcleod, Gasparato, Aird, Crawford, Welsh, Murduch, etc etc a chance, most of them never took it. MW's hardly tried any of our youth players (not a criticism but a fact) , he's simply been able to bring in good youth players due to his connections and having a good scout. These were luxurious Mccoist never had.
He has more of a right than anybody on here to give an opinion, given the fact he has served the Club most of his adult life, throughout our most successful era.
Great player, great guy imo (having met him) and bad manager, albeit one who had both hands tied behind his back due to circumstances. Move on, hatred will get you no where in life bar grey hair and a sour face.

08 Sep 2016 17:38:48
Mccoist was never manager material and his plundering money while club was sinking is something I will never forgive.

But look at the stats.

Warburton only done slightly better, not miles better. He does have a far more attractive style but the end results aren't that different.

I fear Warburton has made exactly the same mistakes mccoist made by flooding team with old names.

08 Sep 2016 17:49:34
Dunbar blue

Also endorsed Craig Whyte and Charles Green, lied to the fans about his salary and made an absolute mess of what should have been a fresh start for the club. Don't get me wrong great club player but awful manager.

08 Sep 2016 19:46:00
every manager we had under Murray endorsed him and he led us into this mess.

08 Sep 2016 19:04:08
James stirling i never mentioned scott allan, for by that mccoist had the chance to bring in players not under contract (anybody can do it) as they were free, but if you think mccoist was a good manager can i ask you why, I've always said on here mccoist was a legend, even if he never read his own contract details, a club legend as a goalscorer, but managment chocolate teapot,

09 Sep 2016 06:35:06
People who slag mccoist and his recruitment need to remember when he was in charge he didn't have a recruitment team, he didn't have the likes of McParland etc add that to working for a bunch of corrupt crooks he didn't have much of a chance. Look at Ally before administration we were en route for a league title. I do think it is unfair to judge ally with previous/ current rangers managers because non had the same circumstances. Not even close.

09 Sep 2016 15:07:54
Recbob

Hutton was awful and that's why he should have been binned. Can't believe you have come on and said that.

08 Sep 2016 07:32:37
Bbc sport interview with rangers legend Allister mccoist. Rangers years away from winning scottish premier . league. Wonderful information from a man with real inside knowledge.

08 Sep 2016 08:30:05
You could at the very least spell his name right.

You should know that because he used to rip the arse out yous all the time.

08 Sep 2016 10:00:30
Yeah and after doing that to Celtic he spent 4 years as Rangers manager ripping the arse out of us and for the great price of £750k per year.

08 Sep 2016 10:48:36
I'm sure the BBC also spelled it wrong in the article: Mccloist?

08 Sep 2016 11:01:00
Biffo your hatred towards Mccoist is way over the top. He was a bad manager who got paid what the deal he was given. Do you think he purposely did a bad job for the same team he bust a gut at bringing success to for 15 years. Have some respect for a guy who did more for in his time as a player for our Club than any other his goals were 9in a row. the reason Celtic fans are on here trying to slate him is because his smiling face after yet another old firm goal still haunts them to this day. Greig was also a bad manger, he was also the greatest ever Ranger just as Mccoist is our greatest ever scorer. We are Rangers, we don't turn on our own.

08 Sep 2016 11:34:22
Recbob

Actually I don't hate him but just am realistic about the awful job he did for us and for a huge sum of money. This man endorsed Whtye and Green, he brought in awful players and played one of the worst styles of football seen at the club, he never gave youth a chance and blatantly lied to the fans about his salary. Greig was a far better manager who won both cups and was only 10 mins away from winning the league. He also managed us when we beat Juventus and PSV. Maybe you should have done your homework on Greig before saying he was a bad manager. As for that lot they just laugh when they hear the name McCoist.

08 Sep 2016 15:22:53
the man endorsed whyte and green because he was fooled like the rest of us biffo and he thought oh brighter days are ahead.
and can u honestly tell me if sum1 is telling you they will do this and invest that and promised u the world then they offer u that wage packet you would have turned it down.

if it wasn't for him they players wouldn't have managed to get us out of the 3rd and 2nd devision .

08 sep 2016 15:29:31
and he never gave youth a chance what rubbish are u spouting biffo

im not going to say his managerial tactics whewre right because they weren't but you have got to remember its hard to get players to play for u when they didn't know if they where even gonny have a team in a month or two .

08 Sep 2016 16:05:18
To have said someone who was only minutes away from winning the league was a success as Rangers manager tells us all we need to know about your views on success. The bare minimum to being regarded a good Rangers manager is winning the league. Anybody knows that.

09 Sep 2016 00:15:58
McCoist has played a blinder with his press comments. Spur the Rangers team on to prove him wrong, and heap pressure on the Celtic team to beat us. Well played Ally.

09 Sep 2016 15:12:35
Recbob

You said he was a bad manager just like McCoist I was pointing out that at least he won some cup competitions and nearly won the league. Not saying he was a good manager but a great deal better than McCoist. Oh and of course managed to beat Juventus and PSV in the European cup and got us to the quarter finals.
