I think McCoist should take the first eleven to the local park to train until they improve.

Believable12 Unbelievable4

Glasgow has plenty of Junior Clubs who would be more than happy to let Rangers train on their park, which will be smaller and also away from the luxury of Murray Park, but the only problem is the possibility of picking up injuries.

Agree7 Disagree2

Good idea. Bring them back to reality. Injuries happen everywher so not a bag factor. Too many pussies they need to get back to basics.

Agree8 Disagree3

They are a third div squad and need to think as such. They think they are Rangers superstars and heroes, which doesn't fit. You may have Mols, Gazza and Laudrups shirt number and position but you're needed as a div3 survivalist.

Anybody know why the Aussie guy is not getting a game? {Ed039's Note - Probably not fully fit, he didnt have a pre season and has played very little football)

Believable4 Unbelievable1

It's Stella his name, what's this with the Greek guy, the Brazilian guy and the Aussie guy, these ate guys who play for rangers, start to know their names, would you call laudrup the danish guy or mols the dutch guy?

Agree15 Disagree10

08 Oct 2012 17:40:36
Think you'll find it's ultimately about the Yorkshire guy ...... is a a pudding or the real deal ........?

Agree6 Disagree0

Neither Laudrop nor Mols ever played for this outfit.

Agree17 Disagree14

New dawn, new history, same old ally loses....

golden chance for new dawn, new manager to take gers on the long road back to champions league.....

but ally has shares, now so in for the sting of the century, so green and ally with begging bowl and fans to the rescue...

all monies greatfully recieved.

Ally gives black and Templeton 14k a week between them, any decent manager would've seen that this could've signed us 14 or 15 decent hard pros from the first division.

Believable13 Unbelievable13

What?? How much of a squad do you want?

Agree4 Disagree3

Number 1 think your missing the point, was only giving an example of what we could've got for the money we spent on 2 ex hearts players.

Agree3 Disagree2

Number 2, there is no point signing a squad of D3 this season, what about next when the embargo prevents us signing D2 players. Templeton is the exact sort of signing we should be making, young promising and a chance to sell on in the future at a profit.

Agree2 Disagree2

Sorry number 2, to me the 'point' was not sticking out far enough. Its all banter btw, don t get your knick knacks in a twist.

Agree0 Disagree1

Templeton's value will decrease the longer he plays at this level.

Agree9 Disagree1

So now Ally, or any manager, has total and sole control over contract discussions?

Ally didn't give them anything, get a grip

Agree1 Disagree1

@3 why do u need div2 players you're never getting in there?

Agree5 Disagree0

This season is the biggest test in the life of RFC. Division among the ranks by those calling for McCoist to go is not on, and can only irreversibly damage the club long term. It will continue to be a struggle for a while, but we will get there and be back with our heads high in the SPL!

Believable15 Unbelievable27

Fair criticism where it's due. We're not paying for this.

Agree3 Disagree0

McCoist is doing more damage to the club than anyone, his record is shocking.how must the players feel when they are struggling and look to the dugout only to see their manager with arms folded with a puzzled look on his face?out of his depth even at this level.

Agree16 Disagree8

Last year was the biggest and you failed and will be liquidated this is only your first season

Agree16 Disagree2

OP Could you guys make up your minds. Many say when we get back to the SPL others saying stuff the SPL.Now which is it?

Agree12 Disagree1

Ask your owner how long we've
been around

Agree7 Disagree6

"Division among the ranks...is not on."

Some want Ally to go, some don't.
Some want the SPL, some don't.
Some trust Green, some don't.
Some believe Brown, some don't.
Some want boycotts, some don't.

You have about half a dozen supporters associations who bicker constantly.

Haven't you got it? Rangers don't do unison.

We cannot wait any longer for McCoist and his dud training staff to turn a corner. It's not going to happen. He doesn't have it, never did have it and never will have it.
He must go now.
We need a complete change out of personalities and of approach. The McCoist approach doesn't work.
Mr Green, get him out of there. The damage is being done don't compound it.

Believable19 Unbelievable16

I just can't see Green getting rid of Ally just as he is attempting to rush through with the share issue.

Ask yourself, would the share issue raise more money with or without Ally at the helm?

That's the bottom line for Green and the likes of Imran Ahmad and Arif Navqi.

BARNEY BEAR

Agree1 Disagree0

@1 Bear - think you are asking the wrong question, should be
Ask yourself, would the share issue raise more money if the team was flying up through div 3 and playing good exciting football with good prospects for the future,
or with what we are currently witnessing
Could be a possible link there though

How long can this situation be allowed to go on?

Are we aiming for a top four finish and then the play off,s???

Maybe the players should be on part time contracts, that appears to be all most of them are worth. The management and players have all week to sort ot tactics, formations etc etc

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Why not a basic pay with add ons for :- crowd, win, play etc.

"Ally has absolutely my 100 per cent backing."

This is usually the kiss of death for managers, lets hope so anyway. McCoist MUST GO

The biggest challenge facing McCoist is team management...he aint got it. He has gotten too pally wally wi the squad and can't differentiate between the right player for the position and and his "friendship" wi the player...to explain..... he will place a "friend" in a wrong position just to ensure he gets a game...look at some of his recent team selections to see players playing out of position...im sure you've all questioned in recent weeks some of the teams he has put out.
His next biggest challenge is team tactics......he aint got it. A big punt up the park to a big striker to knock it down for the other striker is of Ally's time playing football...not todays....for a start we don't have a big striker in McCulloch...he is a defender ffs playing out of position and we don't have an Ally type striker to knock it down to either. After....no, no, no, BEFORE training do they not watch a re-run of their last match....see their errors...then go out on to the training ground and practice to put them right...don't think so !! AFTER training show them videos of good teams playing...the European final wi spain playing would be good....maybe they will pick up some tips about how football should be played in the 21st centuary. A big punt up the park is absolutely hopeless as they lose control of the ball and it comes right back at them instantly....do the players not understand the old maxim "we huv the ba so youse canny score". Gordon Smith...yes that Gordon Smith, when he played for Rangers was the first player who insited that the ball be played out from the keeper on the ground, (no more punts up the park) and played forward in that manner...thus of course retaining control of the ball and the game. This team do not do this and i'm not sure whether it is McCoists instructions or whether they don't really want the ball and punt it to get rid of it. Rangers FULL TIME players should be fitter and faster than these PART TIME (train twice a week then go for a bevy) and i do not intend any slight on them, thats just the way it is. All the excuses put up after away games...the park was very narrow, the pitch was a bit rough etc are all a load of pish...its the same for both teams....do these teams when they come to ibrox and get beat claim the park was too big or the pitch was too flat ....na . These players at ibrox are supposed to be professional...well if you're professional then ADAPT to the playing conditions the same as every other team has to.
In Allys day it didny matter how many the opposition scored we always had Ally to score one more.....well Ally let me tell you we don't have a you in the team anymore you're on the sidelines supposedly guiding the team to victory, you're not a player now so act like a manager and distance yourself from the players, select the correct player for the position there suited for.
Reading through this rant made me think this is the stuff they should be teaching kids at football training not full time professional and for some international footballers. FFS I give up, Ally's just not got it push him upstairs give him another role but lets get another team manager and btw get rid of his sidekicks too while your at it.
Scenario
Monday 1st October Sir Alex Ferguson swaps roles with Mr Alistair McCoist for one week.
Tuesday 2nd - Friday 5th Sir Alex supervises training, puts then through their paces and selects team for game against Stirling
Saturday 6th team takes to the park and it seems that some players are out of position...no its no they are in they suited position...wonder how they will cope. Through the first half Sir Alex screams at the them to keep the ball on the ground and play it forward and despite a few missed chances they go in at half time 2 up. Half time team talk cannot be printed for health reasons , however team come out for the second half and comfortably win 7-0
How did Ally get on, they went to Newcastle and won 3-0 (don't tell anybody but the team didny listen to Allys team tactics they knew they were pish) . Sir Alex didny huv to be there for his team to win.
IT SEEMS OTHER TEAM MANAGERS DON'T EVEN RATE McCOIST AS A MANAGER AS THEY CAN GO DO OTHER THINGS AT MATCH TIME LIKE GO TO WEDDINGS ETC....SAYS IT ALL REALLY

Believable9 Unbelievable9

A scream for help if ever I read one. Bit fair points , well made. You Gers need Ally to go , he's just not a manager. He clearly still wants to be one of the boys. You can't have it both ways , especially for a rookie manager. He was a gamble from the start which hasn't done him or Rangers any good.
Keep fighting lads , your club will, live on. Joe

McCulloch in the press saying they had a hard game. Awww bless!
Rangers paid more than 100 Stirlings.
Ally's idea is to punish by giving an extra game. He's lost these guys lost the dressing room and lost the plot. Football as a punishment?

Believable9 Unbelievable5

Jig gets paid significantly more money in a week than the entire Stirling Albion squad see in a month.

Playing for Rangers a punishment?

I just don't get that. The majority of that team on Saturday are also Rangers fans.

Playing for Rangers should be seen as a PRIVILEGE. No matter if it's Kelty Hearts or Barcelona.

A different point of view on Stirling defeat...

Everyone in Scotland were going on about how rangers would walk the league go unbeaten take 10 off some teams lets face it we were never going to take 10 of anyone and yeah ifor one thought we would go unbeaten.

However now that we have been defeated then maybe the monkey is off our backs there can surely be no more expectation other than simply get out the league??

The defeat has come lets move on look towards next game take the banter we deserve and move on give mccoist another couple of games to see if there is a reaction failing that he must go with durrant and McDowall and get someone else in.

Thoughts bears??

Believable8 Unbelievable5

He's already had chances and failed. Sooner the better. Need totally different approach not more of silly Ally.

Agree7 Disagree6

What monkey? It's division 3 FFS.

Agree6 Disagree3

Very sensible outlook and post.I make you pretty much on the money.........green jhedi

Agree4 Disagree5

From a celtic fans point of view we were in the same boat last year with lennon. The 3-0 at half time against killie was just about the last straw for the fans and more so the manager. Right enough things went in our favour and turned it around.

Mccosit got lucky last year with the whole whyte and administration saga resulting in the - 10 points. Rangers goal should just be to make enough money to at least break even and get out the league. The season finishes in 6/7 months a lot of football to play however green would be nuts to bump Mccosit cause the fans will turn on him

Be annoyed but look at lennon last season?

Lenny

Agree8 Disagree5

It's slightly unnerving that the two sensible replies on here are from the two Celtic supporters.
There seems to be a delusion among our fans that everything would be sorted in a week. I agree that the current performances are unacceptable, but if ever we needed stability and full backing within Rangers it is now. If Ally gets sacked who do we realistically think that we are going to bring into the third division with 11 months left of a transfer embargo? I don't want to be the type of team who replaces their manager ever week at the first sign of trouble, in football there is very rarely a short-term fix! CamAlex

Agree7 Disagree3

But lennons got a scouting system that works well

Ally must go its terrible the same stupid excuse every week " im dissapointed" yea well so are the fans that have to watch it! this is the same start as paul le geun but that was in the spl against better oppisition , now were playing some of the worse teams in scotland and weekley wage is about 2 k when were on about 30 k , its terrible he needs to go , SOME ONE MAKE A BANNER SAYING , ALLY MUST GO!

Out of sheer professional pride these players should be doing better. The Jekyll and Hyde performances comparing home and away is partly mental presumably but here is a concern for Rangers longer term.

Not one of the plus eighteen year olds will be sold in the next two transfer windows, it doesn't matter how bad they play, lets face it. Every over eighteen year old sold cant be replaced. So Rangers are stuck with them without the primary motivational threat of being transferred.

All the players signed in the summer will still be there till Christmas 2013. Is that a motivation? Cant get flogged, in some respects cant get dropped and getting well paid to boot.

This is a problem that wont go away quickly.

Gaz

Believable11 Unbelievable4

They've got a guaranteed contractual wage, cannot be replaced but can be sacked. Replaced by under 18's.

We have a squad of 35 but only supposed to have 22 registered in sfl3.

Agree1 Disagree1

You would think that out of 45,000 rangers fans, 11 guys could be found to beat Stirling.

Agree6 Disagree2

(2 that's a great point! You could get 11 players out of the Ibrox crowd to do the job, that's the problem Ally faces though... he undoubtedly has a squad with the talent they just don't have the mental 'grit' to get wired RIGHT in. Once they do they will combine it with superior skill and fitness and walk the league. Give Ally more time and he will get that away win and we wont look back...

All the criticism seems to be directed toward the manager and it is deserved after our away performances but i dont see much criticism of our players, that display from them all was shocking yesterday, they look totally unfit no passion, no fight, and what about the numerous feeble attempts on goal, they must also take their share of the blame, you dont need to be taught tactics to beat albion

JG

Believable4 Unbelievable2

The manager put the players on the field of play.
He signed the majority of them at considerable expense to Sevco.

Agree4 Disagree4

Nobody is blaming the goalie for letting the goal in.

Agree1 Disagree1

Number 2, are you seriously blaming the goalkeeper? Not even Andy goram in his prime could keep a clean sheet with that back 4 in front of him, there's more holes in the defence than a wet daily record.

The players are playing the game the manager sent them out to play. he is 100% clueless no tactics no ability to read and change things accordingly. legendary status he may have but that
dosen,t guarantee success, do the honourable thing and please go NOW i dont take any pleasure from this post but enough is enough.jimbo

@4 so the manager sends them out to play crap, miss easy chances, play 4 yard passes astray and basically canter through the game, they are supposed to be proffesionals FFS, also the laundry staff will hardly need to wash any of the shirts after saturdays performance, apart from jig, who fell over and got some grass on his
