Fantastic today to a man today. Special mention to Roofe though, I think he showed today what a good footballer he is, I thought he was involved in everything and I think he will score a barrowload of goals for us this season. I genuinely cannot believe how strong our squad is looking at the moment . I am hating our momentum being broken with this two week break and wish we were just rolling into the next set of fixtures.

Good result today and Stevie breaking records again. The only thing is these international breaks. They do my head in. A disruption to club football. Hopefully all our players come back fit and healthy and we batter the shaggers. Tav, goldson, bassey, Kent, Barker, itten, roofe, Defoe aren't internationals so we have a good squad even if our other ten or fifteen international players are crocked. What a good position we are in to have almost two brilliant players for each position. 55. One day closer.

Immense team performance and i'm singling out our captain james tavernier for special praise and here's why. This guy was the whipping boy for too long on here, when his only crime was he was off form last year.
By god he's shown the doubters how good he is and some! He has had an outstanding season thus far and proving he is a good rangers captain. If steven gerrard makes you his captain, then you are a leader without being a total bawler and shouter. Every captain has different attributes and does things differently and tav is a leader in many ways, no doubt about that. He's came back from his form slump and proved he's a cracking right back and a leader from his outstanding displays. He's a good rangers captain in many ways. Well done our captain james tavernier 👍.

Absolutely outstanding performance from every man on the field today. Some really nice football played at times and 8 goals spread across the park which is nice to see. I’m almost getting back to the expectancy of winning instead of hoping to win. Great to see 45 mins from
Zungu whom in my opinion looks like he will be a useful addition once been with squad a bit longer.
The work done by Gerrard and Wilson has been exceptional the strength of our bench and the fact we can field almost 2 completely different teams without dropping quality will be the difference in us hopefully bringing home 55.
Tav is in a league of his own atm and making the doubters eat their works in regulars to him not being good enough/ captain material. Leagues top scorer and he’s a full back. Bring on the 55 it WILL NOT be long!

Think of our list of midfielders at our disposal and for the lewis ferguson fans, who does he get in front of in our extremely impressive midfield queue? Not a chance. Its because of sentiment and who his dad and uncle are, that some want us to sign him and nobody on here will convince me otherwise!

So SGL your opinion on Ferguson v Campbell is based on one game a couple of months back. I remember Ferguson scoring the winner in a cup semi against us, winning and scoring penalties against them a week or so back and scoring a cracking goal v Burnley in the Europa league. On top of that winning Scottish young player of the year award. I genuinely cannot tell you anything about Campbell other than all the chat on here about him.

Every sub that came on played well and as a team wow just wow . and please don't say it was just Hamilton we have destroyed other teams this season too not scored as many I know . that had been coming and I feel sorry for hamilton that it was them . big test soon against the sheep . Absolutely tremendous today, could easily have been double figures. I know myself and a lot of others on this forum have been asking for more momentum in our game, and we got it today, Well done guys, no letting up in any game from now on, we were ruthless today, and we must maintain that. I thought Balugan was outstanding today, his pace is the main thing for me, I would play him against Aberdeen in the next game, and Roofe also now looks fit, very pleased today.

What a result and performance today!
Will reserve full judgement on Zungu until he has started a match but from what he showed today i would say he certainly has something to bring to the squad.
Think the subs today shows just how good our summer window has been and credit to Wilson, Gerrard and all involved 👏🏼 👏🏼Looking at the players coming in Bassey, Hagi, Balogun, Roofe, Itten, McLaughlin, Zungu* versus the players out Halliday, Fod, Doc, McCrorie, Polster, Holt, Flannigan, Murphy and more. Whilst still lots to do and show from the new boys it seems we now have a squad that are all genuinely fighting for a first team place and not just there to make up numbers and be called upon in a worst case scenario basis.
Very long way still to go but i hope now with the quality waiting in the wings we are able to find the consistency we have lacked in the past few years and see the distance this season 🇬🇧🇬🇧.

See this time last year if someone said to me that you’ll win a game 8-0 without Morelos and without Defoe getting on the scoresheet a would have said absaloutey no chance and the reason for that is last year we where really relying on Morelos to get us the goals of not him then Defoe the strength of our squad this year is scary and the credit goes to Wilson Gerrard and everyone involved a know it’s still very early but how can you not be bursting with confidence after that. especially when Hamilton beat us at Ibrox last season 😂 long may it continue lads 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

Gerrard signed an extension to his original 4 year deal he signed in 2018,when he was appointed our manager. He's now contacted with rangers 'till 2024.

For me the momentum is now with morelos and he should be starting against hamilton this afternoon! It let's him hopefully continue his goalscoring and return to form and if we're a couple of goals to the good, we can sub him after about 60mins.

Celtic still have the best squad of players in the league, are still the strongest team in Scotland, will wipe the floor with Motherwell, so they're obviously still title favourites. With the exception of McGregor, Borna, and wee Kent, their players are head and shoulders better than ours, so If that's the case, they will walk all over Motherwell today!
Don't let the league position, Celtic's terrible form, our old firm inhalation of them at their own park, their defensive frailties or the fact they're not very good get in the way of cold hard facts, Celtic are obviously still the best team in Scotland! Aren't they?

Goldson has been solid all season and Duffy's and Ajer have been bomb scares. Jullien is hot and cold and doesn't like a physical battle
Kamara is twice the player Brown is (or ever was) but doesn't have the presence/ influence he does
That's just 3 shouts and there are easily more.
I guess some trophies would help end this sort of crap, so fingers crossed. This type of crapped should be pinned to the dressing room wall (old style I know) before every game.

What do you think of Tav getting a Scotland call up?

He’s not Scottish and has no family history of being Scottish therefore he can not play for Scotland.

Was there not some daft rule if you played for 5 yrs I think you could be eligible. I'm not a fan of that rule and Scotland should never have Englishmen in our national team no matter how good they are at any sport not just football.

Tav should definitely be asked if he would like to represent Scotland. Why not? We’ve had Andy goram Stuart McCall don hutchison the big guy Elliot fae Leicester Dominic Matteo there’s probably plenty more. Tavs the beast right back in the country one of the best in the europa league and so Scotland would be insane not to ask him. Russia’s one of the biggest country’s in the world and they had a Brazilian born and bred playing right back for them at the last World Cup. Portugal had deco, a Brazilian. Italy have done it with players I’m just struggling atm. In fact Jorginho not Brazilian? France and Holland have a long history of doing it with there African players. The worlds top country’s have done it for years. Why can’t one of the smallest nations do it? It’s a no brainier for me. Anybody against it is stuck in the dark ages. You take any advantage u can get, within the rules, to get an ahead in sport. I say call him up.

Thry would have to change the rules as there's a 5 way agreement between the nations that it can't happen without the agreement as he wasnt educated in scotland and has no family. Atm it's not an option legally and he's not eligible for scotland lads.
