Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

08 Nov 2019 16:45:12
I think we were on the jammy side when we got Alfredo especially when you look at some of the characters that arrived about the same time.
He has certainly been a great buy for us, hope we have scouts looking for a replacement as l think he will move on whether its January or summer. He worked his socks off v Porto and wasnt slow at giving his team mates some get the finger out abuse.

08 Nov 2019 18:41:49
Think a fair bit of luck is required for every transfer of a young player.

Will they be home sick, will they fit in the dressing room, have the right attitude etc.

Tore Andre Flo great example that there is no such thing as a guarantee of success with new players no matter where they come from.

08 Nov 2019 22:35:41
only 29 goals in 53 apps yeah don't want flops like that.

08 Nov 2019 23:18:45
Think he will stay to the summer.

08 Nov 2019 23:24:22
Hmm is Morelos the only survivor of Pedro's management reign? In the first team?

08 Nov 2019 23:35:04
Canada, don't think Fredo signing was jammy but an indicator of clubs signing, talent scouting policy. Think everyone would agree clubs signing policy way ahead of era of Waddell. Just don't see Fredo being end of line. Scouts might already have his replacement.

09 Nov 2019 00:58:14
Ryan Jack was a Pedro signing I’m sure . having these two players makes that whole saga worthwhile.

09 Nov 2019 08:16:00
I think Ryan was already coming on a pre contract was he not? May be wrong.

08 Nov 2019 16:34:31
Great result last night. I am over the moon. Bring on our next game. cheers all you bears.

08 Nov 2019 17:18:17
Never seen that result coming at half time but hey ho.
Buffalo's goal was a beauty.

08 Nov 2019 16:11:31
Morelos goes for an acceptable sum- does any replacement spring to mind?

08 Nov 2019 17:26:07
Lewandoski.

08 Nov 2019 17:45:59
Woudnt fit our system lol.

08 Nov 2019 18:24:37
Ricky van woswinkel? Out of contract in the summer? Wilfred bony? I think Morelos will stay till the summer, after helping us win the league!

08 Nov 2019 18:48:13
Some one mentioned b4 some big russian lad? Also please nobody mention shankland.

08 Nov 2019 19:12:49
Did we not play Vladikavkaz on a neutral ground. Sure we won 10-1 or something.

08 Nov 2019 19:45:04
the problem is to do the same as we did with morelos it would have to be someone we don't know about, ie who knew about him before he came. if is a player we all know about he will be too much money.

08 Nov 2019 20:47:52
Lewandowski watches fredo training videos for pointers 😎.

08 Nov 2019 21:26:27
😁😁👍👍.

08 Nov 2019 16:03:58
hi fellow bears
a bit of trivia you may be able to help me with? have rangers ever had to play in a european competition (apart from a final) at a neutral ground? i do remember an away tie against shelbourne was there anymore? and where? cheers lads.

08 Nov 2019 16:35:18
Possibly Famagusta and one of the Israeli teams?

08 Nov 2019 17:15:29
Anzhi Makhachkala. had to play in a neutral. just a 1 leg tie. won 1-0 i think.

08 Nov 2019 17:19:27
We played CSKA Moscow in Germany In euro game in early 90s.

08 Nov 2019 23:19:34
We played Voerwarts of East Germany in the 60s in Sweden.

08 Nov 2019 23:21:41
Thanks lads a cork city fan at work was trying to convince me we had to play Leeds at a neutral ground? And was sure we had to play in a neutral ground because if safety or a ban?

09 Nov 2019 00:04:35
Irish mob at Tranmere in the 90s 🇬🇧.

09 Nov 2019 08:19:56
That was Shelbourne I think Yately. 3 down and came back to win 5-3! Was it not at the start of Advocaat's reign? Gabby Amato's first game I think. He came off the bench to turn the tie. Brilliant player!

09 Nov 2019 10:49:53
I am sure during 60s .70s a draw over two legs meant a replay at neutral ground. STUTTGART rings a bell for some reason.

09 Nov 2019 14:16:58
Can't remember who it was against without going through my old programme collection (showing my age now), but we played a European team at Arsenal's Highbury back in the 60's as well.

08 Nov 2019 14:00:05
Watched their game against Lazio an apart from forests brill strike they were lucky as Lazios pass back howler gave them the win.

If they play like that against us an we play like we did in our game second half against Porto we should be able to shock them big time.

08 Nov 2019 14:50:47
I wouldn’t r7n them down like that - they are a very good team and are a real threat going forward.

If we beat them to the league it will be because we have been on top of our game not because they are bang average.

08 Nov 2019 15:16:54
Looks like you picking me up wrong DK never infered they were bang average only they were lucky to get a win in the final mins because of the Lazio howler pass back.

In fact I'll get slated for this as well but no doubt if we don't do well in the rest of the domestic season celts will still be Scotlands best team.

08 Nov 2019 15:05:59
Still say they beat us they are really good and I'm saying that with gritted teeth.

08 Nov 2019 18:35:40
Lucky or not they qualified with 2 games to spare we still have 2 big
Games to come.

09 Nov 2019 01:05:18
Still maintain although Stevie did make mistakes against them dsger. When they played us they played a master class of killing the game and game spoiling . they never beat us with football . 8 players down with cramp? First on 20 mins . and all people are saying is that they skelped us? Don’t think so . not how I saw it anyhoo.

09 Nov 2019 08:23:10
Bang on molsgoals. The initial rugby style kick off set the tone for me. They only turned up to spoil the play and prevent us getting into any rhythm.

09 Nov 2019 08:51:22
Sir walt if games only lasted 85 mins and defenders never made mistakes rangers would be the best team in the world probably.

09 Nov 2019 10:31:40
even forests goal was two howling errors in defense.

08 Nov 2019 13:59:19
Did anyone see the Eros Grezda two goal salvo and his celebrations in the Colts win at Solihull Moors? This is a player who seems to be working hard with a determination to be getting back into the first team frame. I know after the Ballymena incident some supporters have expressed the viewpoint that the Ibrox exit is the only place now for Grezda. He, undoubtedly, is a talented player and we may yet get to see this. surely the Barisic situation is a timely reminder to some on here not to be writing off this player too prematurely?

08 Nov 2019 14:28:52
Barisic didn't spit in anyone's face and is a Croatian international. Grezda will never play for us again.

08 Nov 2019 14:36:26
Myself and my son were amongst the 500 bears at Solihull, he was quite impressive and there is obviously a player in there, and I remember similar things being said about Borna not that long ago. It will obviously be up to the powers that be at our club that will decide his fate in the long run. time will tell.

08 Nov 2019 14:41:57
Souness i don't think he's good enough but spitting has never put anybody out the club b4. So why now?

08 Nov 2019 14:52:24
Everyone deserves a second chance lads. There's definitely a player there.

08 Nov 2019 14:54:45
If our manager decides to play him, he’ll get my support.

08 Nov 2019 15:10:55
Agree with you dk, he may be what we need on the right.

08 Nov 2019 17:26:50
I watched him play for the Colts v Berwick Rangers and he was quality there too. Some of his crosses would have been right on to Morelos napper.
Worked his socks off. We should play him and get some money back at the very least Sshowed a great attitude as well as great ability.

08 Nov 2019 18:37:55
If we want some of our money back
To need to give him some game time
Even it's not with the first team.

08 Nov 2019 18:51:25
Well i definitely rate him higher than barker anyway. Give the lad a chance.

08 Nov 2019 23:13:30
There is no way back for this guy at our club, and it's just not the spitting thing. He's been found wanting in his training, his lifestyle and much more, and any fool can see that playing at this level he should be a stick-out. We're merely keeping him fit for the next few weeks when we can hopefully get rid of another wage thief.

08 Nov 2019 23:15:22
I bet the boys saying he shouldn’t play for the club again never said anything about Gazza when it came out about him wife beating.
Also the fans gave Flanagan a chance as well and for me hitting a woman is worse than spitting.
People are using the spitting as an excuse because they don’t think he is good enough.
If he was as good as gazza for talking sake people would still love him and that’s a FACT.

09 Nov 2019 09:43:10
Well. in making my post about Grezda and his performance in that Solihull Colts team I wasn't inferring that I believe him to be a stick on to be getting back to the first team squad. but as Dunbar Blue saw this guy is working his socks off in these games and his celebrations against Solihull suggest that he really wants to be with us ie is not going through the motions eyeing his next contract away. some players, for whatever reason, egs cultural acclimatisation can take time to be bedding in at a new club. all I was suggesting is that he might be one of those types. the spitting thing WAS demeaning to the club and could well have finished his career with us. but as Gannet has said others have found a way back after perpetrating far worse misdemeanours.

08 Nov 2019 13:41:23
hi
One thing is clear, Alfredo Morelos is the best striker in Scotland and will start a bidding war not just in England but Europe.

He will also be player of the year along with S Gerrard being manager of the year.

Well done to Celtic for qualifying for the knockout stages and hopefully Rangers as well.

Both teams struggled in the first half but got there in the end.
Morelos scored a world class goal and that will increase the interest in him and therefore the selling price.

in Gerrard we trust.

08 Nov 2019 10:51:12
Great watching the match on TV. Does anyone have an idea on how close Jordan Jones is to full fitness? We need him back.

08 Nov 2019 11:11:11
Agreed Kfraser. We were a man down playing Barker.
Apart from that we got a great result.
Still think Tav needs rested as he is trying too hard to impress and it is not happening.

08 Nov 2019 11:21:12
Tav was instrumental in the 1st goal last night, in case you missed that - the only pressure on him are eejits booing their own players.

08 Nov 2019 11:56:11
Well said Souness, think our manager said something similar but some of our fans think their opinion is more important that the team.

08 Nov 2019 12:22:27
0Great result from Rangers.
Porto are a different animal to Lazio, when you look at their trophies and history.

08 Nov 2019 12:40:29
First post on here for a while, but I just want to add to the site that IBROX was 100% bouncing again last night. Every stand was in full flow. Thank you SG for bringing back a bit of pride to the famous. Magic result, took us about 20 mins to get going though.
we are the people,

08 Nov 2019 13:41:47
I thought tav was more composed than he has been for weeks. 👍.

08 Nov 2019 14:10:04
Tav played well last night, all 14 players contributed to a great result.

08 Nov 2019 14:42:52
Apart from Barker John. He was terrible. Still think itnwas a very bizarre signing.

08 Nov 2019 15:12:39
Paul 86. He was poor in possession, however he worked very hard in that first half closing down players. As I said all 14 contributed to the victory.

08 Nov 2019 15:24:38
I thought we were hugely disappointing in the first half, and Porto looked good. But fair play as we improved in the 2nd half and the 2 quick goals finished them. It's important to be able to win when not on your best form, sign of a very strong team!

08 Nov 2019 16:06:50
Tav made quite a few mistakes similar to those he has made all season -something needs to be done to help an improvement.

08 Nov 2019 17:34:16
Slim Jim and Deeb, I don't know what game you guys were watching because it certainly wasn't the same game I was watching.
Tavenier played a great game and a great captains part as far as i'm concerned.
Also to be fair our whole back 4 who have all been pilloried over the last couple of seasons stood up to a man.
This was Porto we beat who got zero goals.
I'm chuffed to bits for them.

08 Nov 2019 18:10:38
I would sell Tav in January
There are better defenders out there.

08 Nov 2019 18:40:34
I wouldn't boo the club captain
During a match but doesn't mean I won't botch about him on here he not a rangers captain or the class to be
One.

08 Nov 2019 23:14:48
BizzmyBrox, it wasn't East Fife we were playing, it was Porto, a club with one of the best pedigrees in Europe. They looked good because they are technically good and we've beat them! As for the others hammering Barker, it's nice that you've got a new scapegoat for this week, after Tavernier, Barisic, Goldson, Kamara, Helander, Ojo etc. Who's turn is it next week? I'd guess Arfield, as there have been mutterings amongst the hard of thinking about him recently.

08 Nov 2019 23:16:14
Tav did well with assist but he nearly cost us too with terrible positioning by trying to go round the Porto forward and letting him back in easily.
He is not good enough defender and he is never a rangers captain.

08 Nov 2019 10:38:30
Disappointed that the crowd didn't help the team until after Morelos goal. need to lift the team on these occasions no matter the performance or scoreline.

08 Nov 2019 11:21:52
Too busy booing their own players and leaving early for the underground.

08 Nov 2019 12:18:49
There was a point in the first half where some of our players looked nervous on the ball.

The fans booing or moaning does not help. Heard someone on BT sports shouting at McGregor after another poor kick and the commentator had to apologise about the language!

The crowd should be the extra man when we are struggling to get going - SG knows all about that from Liverpool.

08 Nov 2019 12:40:08
Thought that as well the atmosphere was poor until we scored, hate to say it but think the other mob create a better atmosphere.

08 Nov 2019 10:37:15
Last night has the potential to be a massive result.
If we win the group we get 2.9 million euros.
We have also accrued 1.2 million to date for points gained so far.
We then would have another home game, possibly making about 2 million

So chance to bring in another six million of much needed revenue.

08 Nov 2019 16:58:32
John, your calculations mean nothing. Clubs turnover increased exponentially 20% and club loss still out of control. Problem not in revenue streams. Problems in cost saving say lose 12 of dross and no talent youngsters. We are extremely top heavy. This could save 20m annually and make your revenue seem like pennies.

08 Nov 2019 18:08:28
Millerbrand mean plenty, mb u can’t understand them, 40 years in finance, owning my own financial service business make me think I understand figures
Your idea may just leave us rooted bottom six
As a shareholder in rangers I am happy how we r being run by the board.

08 Nov 2019 19:57:32
Miller - do you think our revenue would have increased without the investment that was made, if so you haven't a clue. we need to get rid of driftwood and that takes time to run down contracts, however we have not only increased revenue we have increased asset value as well. not spending wouldn't have attracted SG to the camp and half of the players that followed. Our overall loss fell by ~20% and should fall by similar if not more at the end of next year as our revenue continues to increase and we have shipped out some of the driftwood.

08 Nov 2019 21:00:35
Geesa good post.

08 Nov 2019 10:34:56
I'm pretty certain that Morelos will not move in January as he and SG will want to win the league this season.

In the summer he will be off but I genuinely think that he will raise considerably more than £20m.

Challenge is to find the next Morelos as although we have Defoe he will not lead the line in Mose games.

08 Nov 2019 13:44:12
Hope he doesn't, but there will be bids and if the money is right I would be stumped if we knocked it back. He could easily break the scottish transfer record👍.

08 Nov 2019 19:59:43
we can't let him go in January and it would be suicidal by the board. would you imagine the outcry from fans if we accepted a transfer and ended our hopes of winning the league. not saying if he stays we will but for sure if he left and we didn't we would all be saying the reason was morelos leaving. i don't think the board nevermind SG would allow that.

09 Nov 2019 11:15:09
Coldo. I also think that bids will be in for Morelos come January, But they would have to be Mega Money 💰If this does happen I would certainly hope that the board have a replacement that hits the ground running,

Guys who could replace Morelos if this does happen,
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️👍.

08 Nov 2019 09:41:46
does Mr Gerrard fart at the beginning of his post match press conference?

08 Nov 2019 10:03:43
BallochBlue what the fu@k was that all about. Cryptic or what.

08 Nov 2019 11:04:57
watch the video!

08 Nov 2019 06:46:42
The whole were outstanding second half, first have we just dig deep ad see it out (something we’ve not done for years) .

Not only was Morelos strike outstanding, his work rate was the best I’ve seen. He ran the back 3 all night and didn’t give them a minutes peace. He looks fitting, sharper, more composed and more complete as a striker.

Teams must surely be looking at him and regretting not taking a punt but his price has surely now doubled?

I just want to see him smash Celtic, honestly it’s the final piece for me!

Well done the whole team / management team.

08 Nov 2019 09:18:41
Agree SRK, the difference in morelos is night and day. 👍.

08 Nov 2019 09:34:46
I don't know if anyone else noticed but there was a few fights last night. One in the West enclosure and one over by the blue order. Guy behind me was bursting my head as well.

08 Nov 2019 04:56:31
If Morelos gets 40 goals this season (21 goals right now ) plus scores against Celtic and 15 Europa League goals he is on 11 right now so the question is how much is he worth I'm thinking over 20M at least nothing lower.

08 Nov 2019 09:30:49
Andy he will move for a Scottish record.

08 Nov 2019 09:34:51
Hes already worth more than that. Pivotal to us. If we win the title this year i'm sure he'd be keen to stay for champions league football. If we didn't make it i'd be looking for 25m +.

08 Nov 2019 12:36:29
Not a penny under 30m with at least a 10 percent sell on clause. worth every penny.

08 Nov 2019 12:53:21
We will get whatever someone is willing to offer and whatever the club is willing to accept.
We all have our own idea of what he is worth.

08 Nov 2019 14:13:24
Gersdaft sell on clause needs to be 20%. Remember the clause only applies to additional fee.
So say we get 25 and sell him for forty we get 1.5 million, we r the seller so can dictate sell on clause.
