Was Reading about up coming Game with Holland, Malky Mackay was saying that it was a big blow that Griffiths was possibly out!
Really trying not sound if I'm wearing Blue Specs BUT is this not a Game were we should be using Young Un-Capped Players at least Players like Cummings Rhodes etc also B. McKay! AND I know this'll sound biased but why not McCrorie! We're CRYING OUT fot CH's if I knew any young Scottish CH's Playing anywhere I'd recommend them! Give Mackay his due he has picked Cummings etc BUT do not know why he's mentioning Griffiths as I said the young lads should be getting used.
But expecially McCrorie get this lad on the Pitch and the more games the better. Funny enough him and Danny done ok against Thistle and Danny took the job of the most experienced CH on well. Possible role reversal from the Weir/ Wilson pairing and if those two were to establish themselves after a couple of Seasons Playing week in week out, then International Call Ups make sense and this Dutch game should be used if not then the next friendly definitely if McCrorie has at least been involved in the 1st Team.

08 Nov 2017 19:25:23
Scotland should play with teefal heid, cummings and moult up top and a decent strong mf. Obviously when all the are available.

08 Nov 2017 20:47:43
I was thinking the same when I read about the CH crisis.
defence should be Tierney Robertson McCrorie Wilson.

They have played well together the past couple of games so why not try them out?

Very young confident back 4 which I in would be very good together. Obviously a proper RB when possible as Tierney is best down the left

08 Nov 2017 20:53:54
Moult?

08 Nov 2017 21:01:44
has moult suddenly become eligible to play for Scotland?

08 Nov 2017 21:07:54
What about McCrorie and Souttar of Hearts as the Scotland CB partnership moving forwards? Need to find a RB to allow Tierney to his natural LB and move Robertson to LW then our first 11 looks ok to me?

Also a five or six year deal for McCrorie should be getting tied up ASAP.

08 Nov 2017 22:38:17
Burke should be LW no robertson

09 Nov 2017 04:20:21
Oh well assumed he was Scottish - my bad lol

09 Nov 2017 08:47:34
McCrorie and Soutar would be a great partnership at centre half for Scotland wee bear, great shout. Can't help but think whoever takes the job full time will still persist with the likes of Berra, Mulgrew, Hanley etc. Tierney looks like he could play anywhere, including centre half, why not a back 3? Tierney left side of the 3 and Roberton at left wing back. A lot of young players but bags of experience, particularly Tierney and Roberton.

09 Nov 2017 08:40:03
Moult who is English and not eligible to play for Scotland?

09 Nov 2017 08:47:22
Camoo, moult is english 😁

09 Nov 2017 08:54:06
Has everyone forgottwn Calum Paterson is a right back. Paterson, souttar, mcrorie, tierney is a good sounding back 4.

09 Nov 2017 14:27:17
Have any of you actually seen Souttar play? He is terrible, regardless of his age. No way should he be anywhere near the Scotland team. McCrorie should be fast tracked though

09 Nov 2017 15:12:34
For those of you who haven't seen that I've already put my hands up for making a mistake on Moult's nationality. see above - I already stand corrected :-)

10 Nov 2017 06:24:09
McCrorie needs to establish himself in the Rangers first team before getting a call up for the national squad. No way was he ever going to be thrown into the national team after half a dozen appearances for us

08 Nov 2017 15:55:16
Do you guys think there is anything in the fact that Van Bronkhorst is now 2nd favourite to be the man and is quoted at 6/ 4 or is it every other possibility is looking less likely except McInnes?

08 Nov 2017 16:25:21
Think it will be based on overly optimistic fans piling money on him mate. Wishful thinking and one of my all time favourites but can't see it happening.

08 Nov 2017 16:33:52
I said go from the get go done fantastic with feyenoord

08 Nov 2017 17:31:38
Gio van Bronckhorst all the way! The guy was only with us a short time but what a player! Remember that goal vs Bayern? Good times

08 Nov 2017 17:34:42
* Monaco sorry!

09 Nov 2017 08:25:35
@Kaymer. GVB had a great season last season but is absolutely shocking at start of this one. I live in Holland and the Dutch press are already calling him a one hit wonder.

09 Nov 2017 08:31:35
There's a lot of stories flying around and i'm going to share one from a guy i know who's dad is friendly with our ex director john gilligan! He text me at my work today to say he had good info for me! He told me that his dad had told him that under consideration for the rangers manager's job were, derek mcinnes, alex neil, gio van bronckhurst, alan pardew and patrick vieira! Only passing on what i was told fellow bears! I look forward to reading your comments!

09 Nov 2017 09:32:38
Good still for me yes had bad start this year with feyenoord but done well over past few years etc and comparing Dutch league to Scottish piss league Dutch league far better of standard etc an I think good would do well here prob before knvb come calling for him to be Dutch coach

08 Nov 2017 15:24:02
What about Chris Coleman for the managers job done well for the welsh national team

Please post ed thanks

08 Nov 2017 22:44:33
I would go for Frank Lampard. Great way to start his manaerial career.

08 Nov 2017 10:23:11
Ok Bear, want to get my opinion across and if anyone has any info etc then pre tell.
SO, I like most like Murty BUT I keep hearing people saying that he should get the Job, I'm not saying that he shouldn't get the Job but as far as I'm aware Murty doesn't want the Position FULL TIME! I do not think he would actually say the words I do not want to Manage Rangers Full Time! He will cocentrate on keeping the Players focused, that they remain up-beat, positive and that he keeps the GROUP together! We do not need any Players having an negative effect in Dressing Room or Training.
I do think that Murty will be able to keep the Squad ticking over AND WILL be talking to Players individually and being as open and honest as he can regarding his duties as Caretaker Manager i:e Alves on bench for thistle Game, think he would have man managed and said the right thing at right time.
Graeme is more than happy to fill in until a new Manager is found.
The experience will do wonders and look great on his C. V if he were to ever go for a Managers Position elsewhere.
For me though, it is too much to ask Murty to take on the Gers Job! It would be his FIRST Managerial Position! I think he IS good at talking to tge Squad BUT I get the feeling that for him to go from that to someone that has a bit of Walter about them and let's be honest we all want a Manager that Yeah sure can put an arm round a Players shoulder etc BUT ALSO a Manager that the Players will not want to be on the recieving end for not putting a shift in, not fighting for the ball and basically not fighting for the Shirt as EVERY TEAM that faces US raise their game, Its their Cup Final! They might do it 3-4 times a Season were as we NEED to do it in EVERY SINGLE GAME!
I don't think Murty can be this kind of Manager at Ibrox!
I do think McInnes CAN! I think that there are certain Managers out there who were lucky enough to have been Managed by certain Men and picked up their style tactically, and picked up their Style which under Smith is also something that you cannot just learn but I think you need to be a certain type of Person (Character) and I do 100% think that McInnes has that in him! And he is getting better at Managing the longer (Older) he gets. Anyways there are Managers out there who are good at what they do due to the Managers the Played under. The FACT McInnes Played and Supports the Gers are a massive plus! He knows the Lge and the Players/ Staff.
Most importantly he TOTALLY UNDERSTANDS how the Club is viewed by other Fans/ Clubs and how we the Support deal with it and LOVE the fact that NO-ONE LIKES US!
Ask any Player/ Manager/ Fan (Outwith Gers Supporters) which Team they would like to turn over and every single one will say the same! WHO'S THE BIGGEST!
If Del Boy doesn't get it tgen give it to Big Tommy Wright! Can see Players running through brick walls he's done great things at St. Jstne and been consistent!
He has earned a move up the ladder and fair enough the Gers Job is a big jump but Ticks a lot of boxes Lge, Gers Team etc.
So looks and hope to see McInnes at bottom of the Marble Staircase getting his Pic taken. A foreign Manager will use the remainder of Season as an Learning Curve He'll tell the Support that he is acclimatising etc etc ladeeda, NO! F#$@ THAT! Del or Tommy can come in and hit ground running! Both are right now at very least drawing up a list of Potential Signings AND who they do not rate at Ibrox!
Hope McInnes trys to bring the Young Lad Wright to Ibrox! Can't mind his first Name but the lad looks like one for the future.
THOUGHTS BEARS! If not McInnes then Wright!

08 Nov 2017 12:17:40
And. breathe 😂

08 Nov 2017 13:11:03
@andy1872.u must the day off to write a post like that 😂

08 Nov 2017 13:11:37
Some post. Al read it later I only get half hour dinner break 😀😀😀😀

08 Nov 2017 13:21:52
took me most of my working day just to read it lmao.

for me mcinnes is the man for the job no ifs ands or butts

08 Nov 2017 14:10:07
Took me a full jobbie to read that 😳

08 Nov 2017 14:12:01
McInnes to RFC and Wright to Aberdeen? - might not be as helpful as some would hope.

08 Nov 2017 14:40:55
Got cramp in my thumb from scrolling there Andy!
I'm in the middle of an essay and I haven't written that much.
Good to read a passionate post though from someone who clearly cares and has thought about it.

09 Nov 2017 08:31:29
You could have been typing gospel there, there could be a secret message hidden in there with the whereabouts of a million quid but honestly i canny be arsed reading that man

09 Nov 2017 08:32:27
Never read the post but hit disagree for the shear length of it. If I want to read a story I’ll buy a book mate

09 Nov 2017 08:45:45
andy1872

Every team raises their game against us? Take it you didn’t watch the game on Saturday when a truly awful Thistle side came and did nothing. It’s a myth that every side raises their game against us and we have seen some truly awful teams come to Ibrox and contribute nothing

08 Nov 2017 09:46:16
Fellow Bears i'm going to make a prediction. McInnes in as manager before break ends and Rangers to beat the Eastenders in the New Year derby!

08 Nov 2017 10:16:58
Robbie - I admire your optimism, I really do, and i hope at least one of these actually comes to pass (I know which one i'd like - Happy New year)
but dial it back a bit, small steps in the right direction is what is needed - there is no golden bullet here and no money to buy one.
Improve month on month and by end of this season we can maybe look forward with some real optimism :-)

08 Nov 2017 13:24:46
bil 72 they can be beat mate they just need a team to face them and have a go at their defence,

not taking anything away from them as they are a good side and getting better but all we need is a good run of games where we do not drop points and one game against them where we win and the confidence in our squad will tripple.

and if we can turn the confidence into belief then we will be on the road to success

09 Nov 2017 06:02:57
Peds11,. I agree, they are there to be taken, unfortunately they are on a roll, we are not. As can be seen in Europe and for short spells against even Scottish teams, when teams go at them they are not to clever. I hate to say it but they have a couple of game changers in their team who make the difference in a tight (Scottish) game.
Confidence has a lot to do with it as well and if you don't have that after 60 odd games, you never will.
Patience, the wheel will turn again.
Onward and upward

09 Nov 2017 08:47:43
Peds11

Problem is our players fear them and would rather not lose heavily rather than try and win. A new Manager can only do so much but it’s hard to change the mindset of the players.

08 Nov 2017 07:44:14
I don't think any of the managers linked with us are good enough. We want walter smith but have to settle for derek mcinnes or pardew. Steve mclaren or our development coach. Yes we can't fling money at the problem but we are the most successful club in the world push the boat out and get a bit of class.

08 Nov 2017 09:10:35
Yeah, I would agree with this to some extent. Celtic are still within catching distance. show some ambition and get someone who sends the message that we plan on winning it THIS season! .

Too ambitious? . not in a world where Leicester can win the prem!

(wishful, optimistic thinking though as we are skint. that's what it comes down to) We can only chose from the managers we can afford.

08 Nov 2017 11:06:44
I agree Joelfish. Everything is still there (except the bet fred cup) . Let's see what happens

08 Nov 2017 12:41:05
Kinda contradicted yourself there . we can't fling money at it but push the boat out to get class . we don't have a boat to push out that's the problem.

08 Nov 2017 13:26:54
rfc chriss who do u think we could get that's better than anything we have been linked with? hate when people say these guys aren't good enough then fail to deliver a realistic candidate

08 Nov 2017 06:55:58
Could it be that the board are just waiting to see how Murty does against Aberdeen before making a decision?

Also, Aberdeen maybe more willing to let DM go after those two games. If he wins both then their next manager has a cushion . if he loses both then he has taken Aberdeen as far as he can! (Surely, it's hard to say no to Murty in that instance though)

Thoughts?

08 Nov 2017 08:18:33
I can't see aberdeens board keeping him to join us after those games, surely even if it shouldn't theyd be a conflict of interest, imagine he won both of them against us or he lost them, conspiracy central with loads of mad sheep running around claiming he meant it

08 Nov 2017 09:19:20
Haha. Point taken StmonkeyRFC . some were suggesting that after there last poor performance but i'm looking at it from a different perspective. If the board wanted to measure the ability of Murty, then two back to back Aberdeen games could be ideal yard stick, no?

(The longer GM is in the dugout picking up points then the more attractive he will become for the board. plus they love a cheap option. )

08 Nov 2017 12:36:09
Nah, i think Mcinnes will be in before Hamilton game. just my opinion

08 Nov 2017 13:29:31
i hope you are right and that mcinnes is in before the game a wekk on saturday infact i'd like him to be named today or tomorrow so he has time with his team to get them ready for the game

08 Nov 2017 04:53:25
If Northern Ireland fail to make the world cup how about we go for Michael O'Neill as our new manager, done a good job with an average national side.

08 Nov 2017 13:30:55
cant judge a manager on a national side as he doesn't make signings and has only the very best of the country has to poffer yes the team has done well but i wouldn't say that makes him a good candidate

09 Nov 2017 08:34:36
Makes him a far more attractive candidate than mediocre McInnes

07 Nov 2017 22:58:24
Coming around to the idea of mcinnes as manager. If possible we should bid to get steven davis back what a legend he used to run the midfield during old firm games.

08 Nov 2017 12:34:05
Southampton captain and on an absolute mint per week? I can't see it. Some player all the same

08 Nov 2017 13:31:30
on about 4 times what we could offer him

07 Nov 2017 20:56:00
I have to agree with several posts questioning the imminent appointment of McInnes.

He will give us exactly what Tommy Burns gave Celtic. A team with passion and the Scottish mentality but it will only ever get us 2nd place and the odd Cup - he is an average Manager and nothing else. His record against Celtic and European Campaigns with Aberdeen demonstrate a lack of tactical awareness or the ability to out think opponents. I haven't heard one fan so far I've spoken to who are convinced by his appointment

Celtic went through 4 Managers during our 9 in a row before getting lucky with Wim Jansen and we can ill afford another poor decision with McCoist, Warburton and Caxinha already falling short of the standard required.

We need an experienced Manager who has won trophies and has a Rangers connection. To me that's Frank De Boer etc. Anything less is giving them 10 in a row unless Rodgers leave in the next few years.

08 Nov 2017 02:59:21
Serious question - If Minces is appointed manager - does the beard have to go? Do the club still maintain a clean shaven image for the manager? Remember what happened to John Greig?

08 Nov 2017 08:20:16
Corks77. You cite Tommy Burns but he only won one Scottish Cup and one Ayrshire Cup in six years in management of Scottish clubs, i. e. Kilmarnock and Celtic. Didn't exactly set the heather on fire, did he?

08 Nov 2017 11:02:15
What about the tracksuit afcw191, surely it will be a suit for the man moving forward should he get the job!

08 Nov 2017 12:31:37
Corks77, I agree wholeheartedly with every single word in your post mate. De Boer was always my choice and I've put up exactly the same arguments against the appointment of the highly mediocre McInnes.

08 Nov 2017 12:38:50
Souness kept his moustache.

08 Nov 2017 12:40:27
I think that's his point Doiger mate, he only won the odd cup and 2nd place.

08 Nov 2017 22:15:53
Wee Bear - Suit wins hands down over a tracky for a Rangers manager -

07 Nov 2017 19:53:50
Rights folks, bit of change of subject to the management vacancy. I want to know the thoughts on the current singing at matches. Before the club is punished I would like fans and fans groups to get together to discuss the songs. Many are great songs, some just need tweaked with word or line changed and others just totally dropped. Some of the later are just awful and are stopping me taking my son to away games, which should be his birth right. It's embarrassing and is damaging our beloved club. We have a brilliant support so let's fix together. Thoughts?

08 Nov 2017 05:14:50
Couldn’t agree more. The halfwits who use my club as a vehicle to spout their bile need weeded out. Imo it’s the union bears who should take the lead on this. They are the ones who generally start the songs. Its about time we made up new songs and left the 1690 song sheet where it belongs. in the past and move on.

08 Nov 2017 05:28:01
I have similar thoughts buddy, tho my lad is still a bit on the young side but the away games are terrible.

Its embarrassing to be honest, especially in a world trying to move towards equality, togetherness and acceptance.

I don't understand why we can't build a new reputation that focuses on the future rather than the past?

08 Nov 2017 12:26:36
camoo great post however you just need to look at the idiots that have hit the disagree button to see your backing a lame hoarse
