Has anyone went and watched a video of one of our latest rumoured targets Rashid Sumaila, he's absolutly pish lol! Falling over the ball, swingin and missing the ball alltogether, i must have the wrong guy haha. It was on youtube.

09 May 2017 05:59:01
I seen that video mate. Was supposed to be a compilation of his best bits. I actually thought it was a wind up.

09 May 2017 07:47:01
Wouldnt go on youtube videos works both ways how many players have we bought were they look great on youtube and they turn out rank rotten

09 May 2017 08:15:47
Most of them mate lol. that's my point.

09 May 2017 08:19:03
African Rob Kiernan

09 May 2017 10:28:21
Give the guy a chance before judging him.

09 May 2017 17:38:16
Od much rather give this guy a go instead of berra

08 May 2017 21:33:47
As you all know on here i've always been a massive fan of barrie mckay! I really think if pedro plays mckay behind a striker or strikers, in the no.10 role, then we'll see the best of him there! Make no bones about it guys, barrie mckay is a talented footballer who imho, would excel playing in the hole behind the striker! He honestly could be our messi in a free role!

Thoughts fellow bears?

08 May 2017 21:46:54
Give him a free reign behind the strikers and he would thrive, he gets frustrated on the wing when he can't beat his man and has to cut back all the one.

08 May 2017 22:06:11
He is creative, however, has he got the heart to play inside? He hates tackles .

08 May 2017 22:59:47
Will need to get some strikers first

08 May 2017 23:25:03
I said play mckay in a no.10 role on here months ago and got slated! Now all of a sudden its his best position? I know we all pretend to be managers on here but when you're suggesting something after some one else did?

09 May 2017 08:28:05
barrie has raw talent that's about it, keep him and sell him on for 500,000 in a year is our best bet. unless he has a good year ad does ok in europe.

09 May 2017 08:58:44
No doubt mckay has talent i would like to see him play with better players, better midfielders and strikers who have the ability and awareness to make clever runs and passes and link with mckay

09 May 2017 09:32:36
Yes both Mackay and Dodoo should be starting. Both quality with pace and can finish. Just as Roberts/ Forrest and Sinclair start for them, McKay and Dodoo should be in for us.

09 May 2017 09:42:30
Dunoonbluebear, before accusing anyone of stealing your idea of where barrie mckay should play, i suggest you look back my posts to easily a year ago when i stated where i thought barrie mckay should play, ie. "THE NO.10 ROLE", behind our striker (s)! I'm quite sure the ED will back me up here, on this one! I've continually said on here that mckay would be terrific in that position!

09 May 2017 11:55:07
Lads, mckay had one moment of class in a season where he has been very poor. Why all the hype? Fair enough if he starts to show class consistently. He has been dreadful all season. God, I'm sure someone compared him to davie cooper as well. Lol.

09 May 2017 11:58:54
Our messi? Haha

09 May 2017 13:52:41
Warburton drilled it into him that he had to play as wide as he could (mostly on the left) that leads to what we already know:

1) he's not involved in open play anywhere near enough that we need to him

2) when in possession he's crossing with his left foot.

He needs to play centrally for me and to not test him there would be a shame because we all know he has ability, it's just finding the best way to utilise that ability. Two examples spring to mind, the game at the weekend because it was the most recent example. Some touch from a long ball, good skill and composure to finish from a central position and then the goal against them at Hampden last year. He's our number 10 for me without doubt, if he's played as a number 10.

09 May 2017 23:11:40
McKay has to toughen up and learn how to tackle first, personally I'd cash in on him in the summer anything between 1&2 million and I'd sell him far to inconsistent for me

11 May 2017 03:27:17
jackunion.

where have you pulled 2 million from?

he doesn't een start for the worst rangers side in history?

08 May 2017 19:16:25
Sorry cbear. That's meant to be in simpler terms. His contacts might help with transfers and we will build from there up. Not that difficult but anyways I am looking to a brighter future. Understand?

08 May 2017 20:28:42
What is this rubbish😂

08 May 2017 23:26:02
Totally agree with supercooper11, when Barry is wide we don't get the best out of him . play him behind the striker in front of midfield and he will not only get goals and assists but cause mayhem for most opposition

08 May 2017 17:24:51
He has been around a bit but that might work in our favour. He knows other leagues and might find us some diamonds in the rough. He is a strange character but then who cares. We need to try and sell a few donkeys and bring in quite a few more with quality. Time will tell after summer but I for one am quite optimistic about next season. 2nd place and build for the future. There is no quick fix here so be patient bears and the green shoots are hopefully on the way.

08 May 2017 17:54:35
D'hell you on about.

08 May 2017 18:23:37
Be good if you put a name who the fek is a strange character yerself 😂

08 May 2017 19:09:59
I was thinking you were building suspense by describing the guy then going to say his name at the end😂 and it better only be blue shoots on the way, none of this green nonsense

09 May 2017 08:29:37
i think he means pedro, but he is wrong. ped clearly doesn't have a wealth of experience? he's had a few jobs and no done much.

however i do like the optimisim and he considers us the worlds biggest club so he's ok in my book

08 May 2017 14:28:40
Just thinking out loud with the Murray talk would it be crazy to think it could of been Murray's plan all along to sell the club and hope the bad guy comes in and gets club put into administration and then he comes back into a club with no debt to take back over. Although I doubt he would of expected all the other rubbish from whyte and green to happen. Just a crazy thought.

08 May 2017 14:45:55
No debt. rangers owe £12.4 million in loans.

08 May 2017 14:47:32
That is just a little bit too simple. I reckon it goes more like this, Murray wanted to get away from Rangers as he knew it was all going to go down rubbish creek. Green and Whyte were just pawns used by Mike Ashley for himself to gain out of Rangers.

08 May 2017 19:21:38
Onlyshowaround

I think your over complicating this by thinking it was a conspiracy master minded by Mike blofeld Ashley

08 May 2017 13:56:14
I think a lot of us have been a bit harsh pointing the finger at pedros team selections being poor.

What i've just realised, and saw on FF, is that we're due to play the first qualifier for the Europa League on the 29th June, which means the transfer window isn't open and we'd have to use our current crop to negotiate an away tie first before being able to use any new signings.

Must be the reason we're seeing persistence with the usual suspects, plus we've got to put them in the shop window.

08 May 2017 14:23:47
In Scotland the transfer window opens on June 9th., so Pedro has to have his targets all tied up and ready to sign immediately. If he has to go into the qualifiers with the majority of these wasters in his team we won't be in Europe for long!

08 May 2017 15:12:31
Usual suspects? Who else can he possibly play? And no, I don't coincider our youth players a viable option to come in all at once and replace most of the team.

He plays the hand he is dealt at the moment and at the same time has the chance to determine if any of these players has some fight or interest in the club about them, hopefully he can see that they don't for the most part and is supported to make the required changes.

08 May 2017 15:59:38
I stand corrected TOMUSA, thankfully.

08 May 2017 16:40:20
Super Ally, let's just hop and prey that we see some quality arrivals very quickly after the Transfer Window opens!

08 May 2017 23:02:15
Surely Forrester can't be any worse than the jokers that are playing. Not saying he is the answer but he has shown more than Windass or Waghorn.

08 May 2017 12:37:29
The very least I expect from a manager is that he picks the best 11 and includes a midfield. I don't care about contract disputes and while a player is picking up a salary I expect him to give his best. What part of Waghorn playing wide puts him ahead of McKay? We played 3 no.9s against Celtic and 4 against Partick. 3 games left, let's have a bit of sanity about team selection.

08 May 2017 13:03:30
Concerned manager sees 15 min of effort as fightback

08 May 2017 13:40:51
It frustrates me the lineups we come away with. for me Waggy doesn't even merit a place in the team currently and something that really annoys me is the fact we celebrated that like we won the champions league! Ridiculous and also the fact in so many games we've been terrible and been down to then come back in the last 10 minutes and play some beautiful football and take the chances we create, but why can't we play with that passion and drive for the whole game instead of waiting till the last portion of the game. Definitely needs sorted and yesterday it looked like it was just a big punt up the park and hope, definitely not the rangers way i just hope pedro will sign players who will actually further the team instead of Hindering the progression. But i still have a bit of Belief in Pedro as he's stated the side he has is not great at all the players aren't good enough simple as that so i hope he makes some signings and gets us playing the way rangers should!

08 May 2017 14:26:32
Finding eleven players that are remotely interested at Rangers these days never mind 15 quality players is virtually impossible. If he doesn't't get at least five or six new players in before the European Games start then we won't be there for long and if we have to start next season with guys like Halliday, Kiernan, Waghorn etc., we will be fighting for the minor places again.

08 May 2017 14:39:32
All fair and well with that but when players who think they know best and know they will be out the door don't care and can't be trusted near the team and the sooner they are gone the better, we won't know how good we can be until they are gone and the new players are brought in.

08 May 2017 14:48:35
Mckay should be 1st on team sheet young talented lad who plays left an right wing and is only potential asset at the club right now and can turn a game in minutes with skill n pase am not saying barry is as good as or better than the one and only super davie cooper (rip) . if barry played under jock wallace at rangers he be 1st on team sheet same as super coop was in his time at the rangers . if rangers let mckay go in summer i wonder who they think they going to sign that be better player?

08 May 2017 23:05:05
Kaymer

McKay couldn't lace Davie's boots and will never be the half the player he was. Davie was a true Rangers legend and one of the best players ever to play for our great club

09 May 2017 00:04:15
I am old enough to watch an seen both play read again it does not say he is better than coop or will be etc but mckay is 1 talented lad an if he plays full potential clubs will want him he is rangers only asset the now give him what he wants punt him few years if cash stil short.

09 May 2017 08:50:46
Kaymer

Read my post again I never said you said that

08 may 2017 11:57:17
Question for a poll. Would you like to see sir david murray back at the helm of Rangers?

{Ed033's Note -

David Murray poll

08 May 2017 12:08:06
if he brings his 150 million to the table, of course.

08 May 2017 13:16:53
Why would anyone want Murray back at the helm? It was him that started our fall from the top.

08 May 2017 13:42:27
He may have badly mismanaged our finances but he also gave me some of my greatest football memories with the signings of Gazza, Laudo and ball hair from the european cup final etc so whilst i'm disappointed where it all eventually led! would I change those memories! . absolutely not!

08 May 2017 14:29:06
I blame the Bank of Scotland more than I blame Murray! That and this fictitious Tax Case where Rangers were targeted. I want a Rangers team that is winning the league and I want a Board of Directors that want only to be successful. I just don't see that with King in control and for that reason alone I would take Murray back so long as he was committed to the investment needed.

08 May 2017 14:46:33
How exactly did we end up in trouble in the first place and landed with white, green and then the fat man stealing our merchandise. Plus as it stands Dave king is wealthier than sir nae legs, before he'd invest for players he'd need to buy in and I don't see him using half his money on us. I personally don't want him near us we suffered for his bravado and we we were in the bottom tier he was still living it up if we are to get someone they are going to have to have deep pockets to fulfil the expectations of the punters and that is not David Murray.

08 May 2017 23:09:42
TOMUSA

Sorry but Murray is to blame for what happened. He lied about putting his own money into the club and he made more out of the EBTs than anyone else. He promised he would only sell to someone with the clubs interests at heart yet he sold out to one of the biggest chancers in the country. The board warned him about Whyte yet he still sold the club to this fiend. Murray played a big part in our downfall and he has quietly slipped away. If there was any justice him and Whyte would be sharing a cell in barlinnie however I doubt either will be brought to task for their part in the fall of Rangers.

08 May 2017 11:37:49
Right bears, after a bit of self reflection i will say, welcome back to europe where we belong, its not the champions league but we must take what we get and those days will return, its been a bumpy ride and i for one cannot wait! let's take as much positives from our current state as possible! Anyone know where we start in the qualifiers? Will it be the first round?

08 May 2017 13:04:50
Yes will be 1st round so a total of 8games before we reach the group stages.

08 May 2017 13:43:59
Kl cheers i wasnt sure how many rounds we had to go through, this will be tough

09 May 2017 00:03:00
You can forget about getting anywhere near the group stages if we survive a couple of rounds it will be a miracle

08 May 2017 10:24:47
Now that European football has been achieved, there should be more youth players given a chance ahead of next season.
The remaining game are needed to embed a tactic that will work for next season, that being said I liked how he changed formation during the game and went 343.
This shows that he does have a plan B when things are not going well (however we did end the game due to injuries back to a 4231).
If Pedro keeps to a 4231 we need two midfielders who are not easily knocked off the ball and who have good positional sense.
Also need a player who can play behind the front player, personally I think McKay would be great in that role.
Also we can't play Dodoo or Waghorn on wide positions as they are not wingers.
We need wide players to take their man on and get crosses in the box, something we didn't look capable of doing until Kenny stepped up.
My fear is signing players who Pedro knows but they will not be able to adapt to Scottish football.
I look forward to next season, but I have to say that we will not challage for the title (I hope I am wrong) .
Best will be 2nd place with a much closer challenge to them.

08 May 2017 11:54:02
How can we develop a tactic for next season when we don't have the players for next season? Surely the new players are required first? Yes young players should be given game time.

08 May 2017 14:31:29
Pedro and the Board need to have as many of the signings agreed as possible before the transfer window opens in June and then the signings need to be completed on June 9th so the players have some time together before the first Europa Cup Game. Otherwise it will be embarrassing.

08 May 2017 23:36:30
Ideally season after next we can mount a title challenge. No chsmce next year. Next year target 4 me is stop dropping the daft points in non of games ie take at least 90% of points off bottom 7-9. The BIG away games be more competitive ie hearts.

09 May 2017 00:04:47
The youth team didn't exactly do that well in the development league so what makes you think they are ready for the top league? Which ones would you play?

08 May 2017 10:19:58
A lot being made of the celebrations at the end of the game yesterday i think it was due to the way the game went we were 1 down and playing poorly and scored right at the death to win it i think fans just got carried away by the way it ended snatching a win when we played so poor the whole game . let's not forget were we where 3 yrs ago playing likes of alloa and east fife us rangers fans have been through hell so i think a wee celebration when we snatch a win to put us into europe next season isn't a bad thing . celtic fans seem to think because they have won the league that all the rest of the season is now meaningless . well rangers don't play meaningless games we want to win every game .

08 May 2017 11:38:13
I thought it was embarrassing, myself. We are a bit of a joke still, and probably will be for some time yet. Hopefully, one day, we will have something real to celebrate. And kids running on to the pitch, what the hell was that about?

08 May 2017 11:53:57
The only people upset are the supporters of Glasgows other team who despite having won the league still keep tabs on all thong Rangers. CRAIG Whyte trial, Pedro, results and any dribble dreamed up by the Scottish media or irish bloggers
As for yesterday's celebrations, cast your minds back to them playing St mirren same thing happened a few seasons ago. If you want embarrassment Ronnies fist pumps after their games for starters.
We are where we are let's just get on with it

08 May 2017 12:32:32
Embarrassing from the fans, there was a fan / moron that was struggling with a steward. More unwanted attention. We give the media/ sfa etc the ammo to slate us then we moan about the medias / sfas etc "agenda" with us. 😩

08 May 2017 09:51:32
All this guff about us celebrating like we won the champions league etc, WHY THE HELL NOT? We just secured european footbal for the first time in years, we just came back from one nil down against a team that, dross as they may be, played us off the park! I love to see that passion and all these daft arse celtic fans slating us for it, GET A GRIP,

{Ed001's Note - that bit I edited out was not funny, it was offensive, give it a rest or be banned.}

08 May 2017 10:20:18
Ok Ed my apologies, i don't usually do that just a bit angry lol won't happen again

{Ed001's Note - I did have a look through your other posts and it was out of character, hence why you got a warning rather than an immediate ban. Not sure why you are angry though, you should be celebrating, as a team that got promoted last season and immediately qualifies for Europe the following season. Not sure why anyone could find that anything less than a major achievement! I know people will go on about it being Rangers and they should do better, but I think they need to get their heads out of the clouds. Remember Juve only finished in 3rd in their first season back after promotion and they had managed to keep hold of arguably the best goalkeeper of all time to help them!}

08 May 2017 10:30:54
I don't know i guess its just frustration after such a poor season and we finally done something good and we still get put down, anyway its bad and i have taken it in sorry again, it has been a great achievement as you pointed out and i just let the blood flow to my head, cheers ed

{Ed001's Note - ok mate.}

09 May 2017 00:09:06
Ed

Losing 5-1 twice to Celtic and losing 5 games out of 6 to them is unacceptable to Rangers fans as is being nearly 40 points behind them in the league. Finishing 3rd in a poor league having had far more investment than Aberdeen is no achievement

{Ed001's Note - it hurts to lose to your biggest rival, but unacceptable? If so you need help. They are miles ahead of the rest of the Scottish league and you have to learn to accept that in the short term, because any short term plan to catch them will just end up making even more of a mess of the club you support. If you know so little about football, that you think coming third in the league, the season after you are promoted, is not an achievement, then you should just not bother watching it mate. It doesn't matter how much investment you have had, building a team takes time. You might think the pull of Rangers would bring in players, but it won't bring in the better players, as they would just look and see a promoted team trying to build a side. So you end up with players who are either not very good or have not fulfilled their promise elsewhere. Stopgap players basically. Everyone else will, in the main, be wanting to stay clear until you are established in the top flight. You have to remember your investment is into a team from the division below, not a top flight team. So you are starting off with a worse team, so investing more is only equalising the situation, not taking you ahead of them.}

08 May 2017 09:25:22
I saw highlights of Nottingham Forest's game yesterday and noticed Warburton leaping about and shouting passionately from the touchline. I don't recall him showing that sort of passion whilst manager of Rangers. At least Pedro showed passion when we beat the Jags yesterday. Didn't see the game itself, only highlights. Was Baronjas any good when he came on?

08 May 2017 09:33:20
Barjonas was very nervous, however didn't really put a foot wrong.

08 May 2017 09:59:57
He did ok, tough environment to be thrown into for your debut, team trailing, team lacking form and confidence and a strange formation.

Would like to see more of him in a settled team with a strong midfield.

09 May 2017 00:10:24
Onlyshowaround

Maybe down to the fact he hardly touched the ball

08 May 2017 01:37:32
A see some many people saying givevuputj a chance etc, you would be ****ing moaning if we would have lost. All round terrible performance. All this paper talk Bruno Alves, Ped's needing a hardman for defence. There's no way he will sign for us. Just like so many players out there. I know where we start by off loading this pish of a team starting with Waghorn ending with Fods. I'd love to be optimistic and say next season we'll b a different team but really are we? King going to plummet millions into us? Maybe even attend our games? I read the Boyd article on David Murray. As much as it pains me to say but we need to help from Murray if not all. He owes it to us the fans and Rangers. I'm all for giving Ped's time so hopefully writing and seeing better posts next season!

08 May 2017 09:35:31
Fod keeps us in most games, why on earth would we sell him? Here murray, we know you ****ed up first time but fancy another shot at killing Rangers?

08 May 2017 11:39:57
I can't see Murray helping us out in a million years so we are just going to have to get on with it I'm afraid. That ship has sailed. King either needs to lengthen his arms or shorten his pockets otherwise celtic could be out of sight for years to come.

08 May 2017 23:39:01
True, fod makes some great saves, but he is by far the worst 1st choice keeper we have had in my near 40 years of watching rangers. True we have had worse like ginzburg but he wasnt first choice. At least 4 of last 7 v celtic he could have done a lot better. He constantly loses goals when shot is straight at him. I would keep him for next season as would concentrate on outfield positions but fod is not long term answer. Makes ian Andrews look like goram.
