Foderingham is shocking I can't believe our support is divided by him. His positioning is terrible and lack of ability to come and command area for crosses just helps highlight our defence inability to defend these. Shagger needs to be kidnapped from Hull and brought back.

Regarding signings, now that we are out of Europe I think that the time scale on bringing Players in has just changed massively. Any Players Caixinha was thinking about bringing in and poss having for the 2nd/ 3rd Round can now be evaluated more thoroughly AND any bids can now be discussed and Fee's etc can be negotiated better. This will benefit us in getting Walker at a price that is fair, I would be fine in waiting for Walker if Hearts refuse to accept a bid under 1m but I do not think that we should offer more than 500k! don't get me wrong I actually think Walker iS worth more but his Contract situation has an huge impact on his Fee and if we need to wait and if Walker signs a Pre-Contract I would be fine with this as I do not want to see our Club held to ransom!
I would just like to see us bringing in a couple of Wingers especially a Left Winger as when O'halloran and Forrester, go (who prefer the Right Wing! ) We are left with Dalcio who still has to prove himself. He COULD be brilliant but we do not know? Candieas CAN play both but then were talking about promoting Atayaki who I think will be a tidy Player but huge huge gamble on such a young inexperienced Player who is as yet to make his debut!
Please Bears tell me if I've got this one wrong as I don't really see this getting the attention it should especially when Dalcio's performances have been slated and rightly so BUT who do we play instead?
We have brought in 9 Players 2 of which are Wingers but are moving 3 so called 1st Team Wingers on.
I think our best hope is to bring in 2/ 3 Wingers on loan from the big Clubs down South or from Spain/ Portugal as our Manager is well thought of and with him and with what our Club can offer these Clubs promising Players in terms of development then maybe we can bring in a Patrick Roberts? I really don't see why we can't go down this path and financially it makes sense. I would rather that than spending money on a Player that is not the standard we want! Just basically back up.
Thoughts Opinions and any Ideas or Information Bears as its a big worry to me!

Here here hurricanes. Thank god someone agrees with me. Yes he made a lot of saves last season but if you look at the shots on target against us then the law of averages suggest that any keeper would make a percentage of these saves. His postioning sense is atrocious, all you need to do is look at the semi final against the mutants and look where he was at the first goal and his position as tav gave away the penalty. If mcgregor was available then I'd bring him back in a heart beat.

09 Jul 2017 08:56:31
I'm hearing we will up our offer to £600k for Jamie Walker, but your right we shouldn't pay much more due to contract situation but it is a gamble as if he signs new deal he will cost upwards of a £1m when £800k would secure him now.

Will be interesting to see what our DOF can bring in terms of young players on loan which won't be limited to Man City he will have great knowledge of young players from the whole top flight.

I would love Naismith or Weiss to be brought back if possible and a full back or 2 added to the squad.

09 Jul 2017 09:40:03
Do you lot not realize Pedro is crap he will not be here in 3 months time so no point in signing more of his duds.

09 Jul 2017 10:05:07
Grumpy auld c

Totally agree he is awful and has done nothing but embarrass the club since getting the job. worst home defeat to them, worst European defeat in Scottish football history, one of the worst performances in an old firm Scottish cup semi and losing a 26 year old unbeaten record to Aberdeen. What's more astonishing however is people coming on here and trying to explain that European defeat by saying the game came too early.

09 Jul 2017 13:14:33
Agree. I really really really hope I am way off the mark and that he proves me completely wrong but I just can't see it. Pedro makes MW look like Alex Ferguson. Be prepared for some Bonnie Tyler (heartache) over the coming months

08 Jul 2017 22:02:56
Pedro simply needs to keep his key signings on the park this year which going by the fees paid will be cordoso Pena Herrera and dorrans. Alves will also be key due to his qualities and leadership. Bulk of these guys haven't kicked a ball for us yet and the media have had a field day getting stuck in to us. Why is that story of us losing an unders game to hearts even in the media? Non event but media getting stuck in as per.

Yes that result in Europe was terrible but we are not the first team to get caught out with early fixtures in the season.

I will go to all home games next year and I am confident we will have a good season. Especially now we are not wasting our energies on Europe. Let's face it we need to sort things out domestically before we are interested in putting a run together in Europe. Crawl before we walk.

Don't read the papers and form your own opinions.

09 Jul 2017 00:22:48
Excellent post coplandcafu.

09 Jul 2017 09:09:48
I thought we would get to 3rd qualifying round maybe the 4th at a push so it's not a total disaster just embarrassing to lose to who we did.
Playing on Thursdays then league games on Sunday's would be extremely difficult for us.
The biggest issue is forming a new schedule.
Totally agree with statement regarding losing a friendly against Tynecastle when it's the under 20s, the opposition were managed by Lee Walace that's more of a story!
As for slating the new squad, The gaffa has been left with 30% of the squad he is actively selling starting the games and another 30% including his 1st choice defender and midfielders having not featured at all.
The new guys who played have had 45 mins in total, 2x15 mins, 30 and 45 mins and 2x 45 mins other than Cardoso who has had to play alongside our 4th choice CH.
I like the profile of the majority of our new signings and in a months time a few more we want shot of will be gone, the new guys will be more settled and it's game on.

09 Jul 2017 10:12:11
Copland Cafu

Getting caught out early isn't any sort of excuse or explanation. We should have beaten that part time Luxembourg pub side no matter when the game was played. Also even a few rounds in Europe would have helped financially which might have lead to 1 or 2 more signings but that has gone. Judging by your post we shouldn't have even bothered trying to qualify for Europe yet when we did everyone on here was saying what an opportunity it was to make some extra money. Losing in the first round is a total disaster

09 Jul 2017 10:28:59
We are out of Europe so get over it. Look toward the bread and butter for us which is in my opinion the challange for winning the league. Wait till the end of the season and then bleat like a sheep if need be. I am getting fed up listening to fans or is it supporters moaning aout the manager, his signings, the team, the media, other supporters, other clubs when half of the new signings haven't even kicked a ball for us yet. Channel your anger, frustrations and Follow Follow for f's sake

09 Jul 2017 10:47:09
Floyder- what gives rangers the right to assume they are now ahead of Aberdeen and are Celtic main challengers. based on what? Sounds so familiar to everything coming out of your club, total disrespect to Aberdeen and it's going to be another season of egg on your face

09 Jul 2017 13:00:14
91bhoy, I was voicing my opinion with supporters of my club. It's my opinion, which I am entitled to thanks to those who fought for my right and yours to do so. I do not state we are ahead. read the post as it's written and not what you want it to say. "The challange for winning the league" I did not say we would win it, and as for disrespect for other clubs? . I sure have for their hatred of our club. geez their titles, kick them out of football. As a wise man once said . Let he without SIN cast the first stone.

09 Jul 2017 13:21:30
Bhoy. Because we are Rangers, the most successful club in the world. We expect to win every game we play because that's in our DNA and will always be. Even with Pedro in charge surely we have the right to expect to win the title. We will never do the same as your lot did through the 9 in a row years and settle meekly for 4th and even 5th. That must be in your DNA

08 Jul 2017 21:17:34
Just heard the news that we got beat from, wait a minute you's ready for this, Tynecastle FC 2-1! Team had o'halloran, forrester and beerman included. pre season friendly or no that is a disgrace!

08 Jul 2017 22:47:32
I was saying it was disgrace that we drew with tns and st Johnstone and got slated but signs were there then we got beat in Europe. terrible team

09 Jul 2017 07:46:48
Its was your under 20s with some first team players unlikely to feature in the first team

09 Jul 2017 18:40:36
For the record that should have read. Our under 20's!

08 Jul 2017 20:50:38
I'm on hols with family just now in Mexico and the locals rave about Pedro. Not one has had a bad thing to say about him and they think he is destined for EPL! Pedro has a very good rep here in Mexico and he def deserves a at minimum a season.
They are also saying the Mexicans we have brought in are very good players tho they doubt they will settle in quickly which is worrying.

08 Jul 2017 21:32:14
Try and get Pedro job before you come back

08 Jul 2017 23:33:37
I can back you up on that post Scotty. I had 3 or 4 Mexican friends when I was at college in the states and they all praised him when I asked them what they thought of him a couple of months ago. They also mentioned that Abella would've been a great signing so it's annoying that rumour died and nothing has happened.

09 Jul 2017 14:19:57
So his reputation is so great in Mexico that he should be given a season.
That's a bit of a faint praise.

08 Jul 2017 20:49:30
I was wondering what fellow bears thought would be our best formation? I personally don't like 433 or 451 whatever you want to call it. I'm just not a fan of wingers. I personally would play a 442 diamond with Dorrans, Pena, jack and kranjcar with Herrera and Morelos up front. I'm a big fan of the big striker smaller striker combo and I think it would work well with the videos I've seen of those two. Thoughts?

08 Jul 2017 21:30:06
Agreed my formation
Foderingham
Tav. Alves. Cordoso. Wallace

Jack or rossiter

Dorrans. Pena

Krancarr

Herrarra. Morelas

08 Jul 2017 21:48:37
Tav? He shouldn't be near the 1st team. He's woeful

08 Jul 2017 21:49:01
We need two new fullbacks, Pena could replace Krancjar and Rossiter would play alongside Jack with Dorrans on the wing.

08 Jul 2017 23:37:11
I agree with that formation against every team in the league apart from Celtic. Their full backs and wingers bomb forward meaning it'd be two against one on Tav and Wallace which is asking for trouble. When Murty set the team up it was a simple 442 with the full backs not being as adventurous and it worked well against them.

09 Jul 2017 00:25:41
I hate all this "we need a new left back" rubbish. Beerman will do a job. How are we going to develop young boys if they don't play? We u honestly rather Wallace? The guy is a joke.

09 Jul 2017 04:50:41
Mprent111. I pesonally like a 4-4-2 BUT I don't think this formation works against the likes of the tic. i'm sure that's how we lined up on the last 2 occasions. The tic play with 1 up and fill the Mid yeah and I think most will do the exact same especially against us. don't get me wrong I as with most would like to see Herrera AND Morelos or Miller but I think we need to have 5 in Midfield or the tic will over run us. You can bet Hibs will play that way against us, so if 4-4-2 isn't going to happen then a 4-1-4-1 is what I'd like to see on the pitch NOT a 4-1-3-2. As long as we have 1 or 2 Central Attacking Midfielders that are top at supporting the Striker and know how to get their shots on target then all we need, and have is someone like Jack to sit in front of back 4 and be able to step up into midfield when we're pressing. In fact Jack is going to be a huge Player for us this Season as we now have someone that will do the job with covering when the Wing Back pushes up!
I think having 2 sitting Defensive Mids is a tad OTT especially for SPFL even the tic. We should start 4-1-4-1 then think about making changes to the system depending on how the games going!

08 Jul 2017 19:54:20
Under 20's containing few 1st team player beaten by tyncastle fc today. where does the embassement end.

08 Jul 2017 20:43:22
Embarrassment.!? First team players.!?

An established East of Scotland team beating a group Under 20 boys and a few players who have been told are surplus to requirements is not embarrassing at all. Get a grip .!

08 Jul 2017 21:38:48
Don't try and explain it people want us to fail do they can moan. Bawbags the lot of them

08 Jul 2017 22:51:20
Aye rangers fans want there own team to get beat so they can moan get a grip

08 Jul 2017 23:38:20
You should be asking the question why this is making media headlines? If it was any other team in the leagues under 20s it wouldn't be mentioned

08 Jul 2017 17:32:10
I just don't need understand if dk and board knew they were going to hand the manager a decent transfer kitty would make sense to hire a decent manager, with the manky mob getting Rodgers, any thoughts.

08 Jul 2017 18:14:30
Think we need to give Mr Caixinha a a chance and he may well turn out to be a great manager. I am a wee but concerned that we have never heard a cheap from him since Europa result. Though to be fair I would prefer to just here him talking about Rangers and not involving himself with other clubs, certainly until he has sorted us out first.

08 Jul 2017 18:17:34
I think the whole point was us to bring in an unknown and revamp the team and prove to the world that success don't sit with big managers like Rodgers. But our success will come with great support for our team and the boys playing a unit and chemistry.

Pedro will do good for us this season. yeah we might be knocked of Europe at the first game. but we have a long way to go this season and Gers will prove to the world we are back to we we belong. without big names or big managers.

08 Jul 2017 18:33:53
I think the guy deserves a chance, especially with so many new players coming in. The one thing that does annoy me about Pedro is when he tells the media tactics and the tactics of other teams. I like the way he handles some media questions by not taking any crap however I think he needs to keep quiet on predicting what other teams will do and just leave the talking to the players playing well.

08 Jul 2017 18:49:57
Rodgers is on £45k a week plus bonuses. We are a long way off before we can pay that kind of money. We need to be a close second before we can sign two or three marquee signings to take us up to the next level. We cannot afford to make a mess again after the MW debacle. At the next AGM we can pass approval of a new share issue then we will be on the correct path to put us on top were we belong.

08 Jul 2017 19:04:17
Stu-is blu, completely agree, displayed nativity more than a couple of times communicating tactics. Needs to be much miore self aware or he is unlikely to last. Like him though and really hope things work out. Time now to get behind Pedro and all of the players.

08 Jul 2017 19:27:00
I'm still fully behind Pedro and believe that he will turn it around. I was also happy at the time of his appointment as I think is a good thing to go in a different direction. Of course an appointment like this is a gamble but I respect the board for being brave and taking a chance rather than going for the easy options. It's easy for people to say told you And we should of gone for the obvious appointment but for me it was good of the board to take a chance try something new I just hope Pedro can do us proud.

09 Jul 2017 00:21:21
Ud have took dave moyes in pedro we trust

09 Jul 2017 09:06:03
DK did not appoint pedro.

09 Jul 2017 10:15:24
TrueBlueDrew

How do you know what Rodgers is on?

08 Jul 2017 16:11:33
Totally agree with club 1872 statement re the demands of celtic aberdeen and dundee united in respect of stripping titles. Fight it with every legal means and boycott of away fixtures.

08 Jul 2017 17:19:27
Yip absolutely bang on, it's needed because they obviously think that they can walk in and do what they want, i also agree with the fact that if it does happen any discrepancies involving other clubs will be looked at, it can't be one way, they have to know there opening a massive can of worms and as they say not one rule for one and one for another, totally behind the statement

08 Jul 2017 14:39:16
Any news on arranging pre-season games. Badly need competive workouts over the next 4 weeks if we are to have chance of getting off to a flyer in the league.

08 Jul 2017 19:28:21
Had a message from my son that we lost 1-2 to Tynecastle FC today with SIX first teamers in the team, if so, Pedro has got to get a grip pretty quickly!

08 Jul 2017 19:50:16
I don't think Pedro would've had much involvement today and the 1st team lads involved are all the one's we want rid off!
Still a poor result tho

08 Jul 2017 20:08:23
Is that team Lee Wallace coaches in his free time?

08 Jul 2017 11:17:13
After letting the dust settle I have calmed down a bit but the hurt of exiting Europe is still quite bad. However, rather than punt Pedro we do need to give him time. However, if there's not significant progress by the time we play Celtic, a heavy, defeat in that game would be the final straw for me. I say we give him until then and if we are 10 points adrift after that then he has to go, if not then I hope he can prove me and others wrong.

08 Jul 2017 13:01:00
I have to agree, I know the theory is we didn't have enough preparation time, but surely the class of were supposed to be bringing in, even a day would have been sufficient to beat a team of that class, if Pedro can't see that then I am worried, but let's hope he shuts up me and all the doubters and gets at least 2nd this year

08 Jul 2017 09:52:59
So now that Dorans is in do we think there will be any other signings before the new season?

I think we need to replace Barry McKay as Dalcio didn't look great, O'halloran could maybe do a job this season with his pace however that's 2 managers not playing him so obviously don't fancy him.

I guess it depends who we manage to get rid of as we still have Keirnan, Waghorn, Forrester, o'halloran, crooks and windass who need to go.

08 Jul 2017 14:00:58
I'd like to see us get Walker from Hearts, think he'd be a cracking signing for us.

Maybe Pedro plans on playing Dorrans wide mate, he's played there the majority of his days at West Brom.

08 Jul 2017 16:34:22
I think the past few seasons he has played in centre though. We need some creativity though as we had none in Luxembourg! Walker would be a good signing I think, we need someone with a bit of flair on the wing and someone to link the midfield and attack. As much as Niko had some good touches he didn't open anything up. Hopefully penna can do that

08 Jul 2017 17:28:43
Your right he's played central recently as I suppose he's lost a bit of pace as he's aged but he'll be a standout wherever he plays I'm sure, signing of the summer IMO.
