Previous comments said Kenny Miller to sign a pre-contract with Fiorentina sometime this month, to join them in the summer. Obviously at this stage can't say this is 'definate' or '100%' like some do on here, but it has come from a very good source. None other than the roly poly goalie himself, via a mutual friend. watch this space

Why would Rangers let him sign a pre-contract and get nothing for him at the end of the season when they can sell him now for £600k - £700k. Rangers have bid for Goodwillie and the only way they can do this is by getting money from selling Miller now.

Weir and Bougey? Are these the same two clowns big Sammy turn inside out last Sunday don't you remember last Sunday un ur hole. Sammy scored twice ran past Weir and Bougey and do you remember BOUGEY giving way a penalty? Does anyone remember? Ha, we have let in the least amount of goals this season so we know who has the best defence and the only reason Wilson is on the bench for Forest is because he wanted to come to us in the Summer. money money it's so funny it's a Celtic world.

Lets all laugh at celtic because they just signed a centre half that canny make intae the first team at the city ground and plays bench warmer. Kelvin Wilson, Majstorovic and Loovens. Weir and Bougey. I know what defence i would prefer and it doesn't include super duper the next Pele according to what ive heard from wee Neilly Lennon won't change such a Sh!te defence. Anyone else agree?

Just a post to anyone embarrasing enough to attempt to follow our manky 'friends' across town into this protest territory over . . actually, why are you protesting again? Because we don't have any money? Can you not wait until we have new owners? We've done alright so far!
Anyway - if you do get involved with this paranoid protest guff and shame our GREAT CLUB and i see you - me and my pal big dougie will not be held responsible for our actions - you are not real RANGERS fans. David Murray made our club what it is today and threw MILLIONS into this club (a LOT more than we owe) - without him we wouldn't have ever got a) Walter Smith b) 9 in a row c) Murray Park d)Graeme Souness e) Ibrox as a 5 star stadium f) gazza g) Laudrup - the list goes on and on and i suggest if you are into this 'blame' culture - you speak to somebody 14+ in age AND brain cells and learn a little recent history - MUPPETS.

As a life long fan and season ticket holder for many years, it saddens me to see the present state of the club. We can all come on here and pass our opinions or state facts (true or otherwise) but lets look at the facts as they are being presented to us fans. Walter Smith again has come out and slated Lloyds TSB about their approach to the clubs situation. Walter has also stated that there will be no signings during this window. Kenny Miller (our top goal scorer) MUST be sold in this window so that we get some money for him, which will go straight to the bank, and I suspect Sasa Papac to leave this window for the same reason. We must recoup some money for players and can't afford for players to leave for nothing. Every player at Ibrox is basically for sale and supporters can not be definate who will still be here at the end of January, if any decent offer comes in, the bank WILL force the sale. The take over seems to be dragging on for so long, and is spoken more about on forums than it is in the national press. Andy Goram is writing in todays Sun about the state of the club and doesn't mention Whyte/Ellis once. The deal to buy Blackburn was done in less time so saying that it is the dilligence tests that are the hold up says there is something not right about the deal. No journalists are sniffing round the story and I personally think it will fall through. There is no money to be made in Scottish football and I can't see a Scottish team in the Champions League for a while anyway. Talk of demonstrations, posting letters to Ibrox is pretty pathetic, next thing will be to boycot matches or something as silly. When and if the takeover happens, is part of the deal that Super Ally still becomes boss next year, I can't imagine it is, and if it does not happen, Ally would be as well following Walter out the door and finding a managers job elsewhere as without the take over money he is going into his first managerial post needing to completely restructure the club. He will rely heavily on youth coming through and apart from one or two we really aren't get a good return from our youth academy. We even lost a youth player to Celtic last week! How the hell did that happen?? (I think his name was McGoegh?? ). I would hate for Ally to be in charge during possibly the clubs darkest times financially after all the happy memories he has given us over the years. In my opinion I really can see Ally struggling if there is no take over to release funds, and then according to the press it is only £5million a year, that is nowhere near the kind of figure we immediately need to strengthen our 1st team, and it is our 1st team that needs it, not the squad, we need players who go straight into the 1st 11 and hit the ground running as they say. It is going to be a long hard slog, just look at across the city when McCann took over, but as long as there is a Rangers, I'll be there watching.

"Lloyds wiped out £150 million of Murrays debt and increased its stake to 24% in Apr 2010. They are treating us like the rest of his companies and cost cutting across the board. Totally short sighted."

The difference is that there are clear strategies in place for some of Murray's other companies, where the bank can clearly see that they will return to profit and positive cash flow, hence the bank's confidence in a debt for equity swap.

The present position with Rangers is unclear, and the bank cannot make decisions based on a potential takeover as it may not happen. Agreements in principle have no sound commercial basis. Lloyds can only make decisions based on the here and now and that is why Miller has to be sold to fund any other player purchase.

Other business sectors in the economy are being treated the same, and Rangers just have to accept this and get on with it.

NEWSFLASH
according to some fans the impending massive tax bill including fines is not a factor in the sale of rangers fc!considering the fact that the tax bill is roughly the same amount of cash whyte and ellis would have to stump up for control of the club why can't people see this is a problem?also consider murrays crumbling empire is in debt to the tune of 609 million quid.bain says nobody will be sold in january, why is he being sold now for buttons?why exactly are lloyds not prepared for anymore small cash input for players if a takeover is as close as rangers fans are being told?what exactly is going on?

To vthe dick

who said anything about loaning the club , i was talking about the buildings you dick . remember rangers are part off murray holdings not the other way about

08 Jan 2011 16:54:39

Another thing why does everyone think if this guy whyte takes over he will put his hand in his own pocket. if he was truly that rich and cared for rangers that much why not just give the club 30 million. Millionaires are millionares because they are good at pumping other people for money. I can't believe he will take rangers over as a toy to spend millions on. He surely has a plan to pump the club for money probably by asset stripping things off the park.

08 Jan 2011 16:50:58

We deserve better. we dnt deserve 2 be treated the way we have. years of wasted money. asset stripping our merchandising, catering. murray park and ibrox owned by murray international holdings, and lets not forget the tax prob was down 2 murray so he should be liable for this.

as for the bank there not doing anything wrong, there just looking for their money 2 be paid and nothing else. they know the uk financial crises has effected their bank and they just want assurances that they will get their money back. whats wrong with that?

we could boycott them but wat will tht solve? im sure rbs, santander, hsbc would be the same. were not self sufficient we rely on the bank 2 keep us going so why r we trying to demonise them?

08 Jan 2011 16:43:10

Rangers rumoured to be trying to get a calculator on loan. in 3 years uefa cup final run, 2 champions league campaigns and a reduction in quantity and quality of players and still no major inroads made on debt. At the rate rangers are going they need another 10 to fifteen years of cuts to get rid of the debt. these figures based on winning spl every year and getting into champions league. Something is seriously wrong with the figures being projected from ibrox and that's before u throw in the potential catastrophe of a bill from hmrc. So where does the money go

They should stick to their own club page and also take a look at the fact weve got 2 games in hand aswell as the rest of the season to go.

I'd rather have my club in the hands of walter smith rather than neil lennon. experience shall prevail.

You losers boycotting the bank are an embarrasment to our club - what do you think it will achieve? NOTHING.
We will just have to be patient regarding transfers - if we lose anyone we will get a replacement, it's no biggy.
Half of you were booing Kenny Millar when he first arrived anyway! It is hardly a crisis, just because we chucked the old firm match - we will still be top when we've played the same amount of games and with new owners on the way (100%) we will SMASH Celtic. You protesting 'we derserve better' types are either CLUELESS or Celtic fans in disguise - SHAME ON YOU

Can some one tell me how it is going to cost the bank millions if you boycot there bank, use has supporters off rangers will have to pay off personnel loans , change morgages etc, it will end up costing the supporters money .so don't be so stupid

remember yous owe the bank millions and if yous play that game with them they will cut all ties with
rangers [which means they will want there money that they are due payed off in one big payment , which could mean every player up for sale so use can pay this det off ,

and let me finish buy saying the game is you borrow money you pay it back no borrow and hope the bank forgets all about it , if yous had better people running the club from top to bottom then you would not be in this state [yous are fecked what ever you do

THATS NOT INCLUDING SAVINGS MORGAGES , LOANS AND THATS NOT ALL THE BANKING STUFF THEY COULD LOSE UP TO 500MILLION A YEAR SO THAT 22MILLION GLASGOW RANGERS OWE IS POCKET CHANGE . Rangers desperately need a buyer soon or the ''indignity'' of being a club which has fallen into administration is a fault which should be blamed on one man in particular. Let's remember people's livelihoods depend on it and I'm not talking about the players.

This is just mischief making tripe. There is currently no Tax Bill, the Crown are looking into a Tax avoidance scheme that was set up. This has been a long standing review and at present there is no decision on its appropriateness, no Bill to be paid, and no demand. The prospective new buyers are well aware of the issue as it is in the public domain and will be part of the due dilligence process.

AND TO GET ONE OVER THE BANK WE ARE GOING TO GET
ALL THE SUPPORTERS TO BOYCOTT LLYODS TSB BANK
WHICH WILL COST THEM HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS.

WE DESERVE BETTER . .

I can't imagine that any demonstration will bother Lloyds/TSB in any way. It is the clubs debt and must be paid back, simple as that. If it is not paid back the bank are quite within their rights to call in recievers/administration, which also carries a points deduction. As for deserving better, better what? David Murray and Lloyds have have financially backed Rangers signing top drawer players over the years and some duds along the way as well. Now that Murray and the bank are looking after their individual interests and only seeing our club as an asset/debt we are suddenly calling for demonstrations. Against who? Murray? Lloyds TSB? Advocaat? Tore Andre Flo? Who exactly is this pointless demonstration aimed at?

What is the point in boycotting the bank if we do that and cost them money then they could just simply end rangers and put us into administration. So idiotic fans planning on doing this should think again. And remember the bank are in full control of Rangers right now.

the bank have a legal contract with rangers fc regarding the payment scedule of the money owed and rangers are sticking to that arangement so the bank can not pull the plug on rangers unless the miss the payments they have agreed to. so fans boycotting loyds or any of there companys will not harm this arangement. i have have a post on the banter page that shows some of the money that rangers have been bringing in and what has been paid to the bank the rest of the money is unexplained have a wee look at it it makes for intreating reading.

A wee update folks the takeover deal should be done for the 23rd - 24th of this month with smith to get 10mil to spend as whyte is anoyed at the size of the squad and worried about the title a little bit. he knows we have the players to win the lge at a canter due to the celtic tradition under lennon as wee buy annyc* t.com. whyte just wants there to be a cpl of more players for the rest of the season 4 or 5 to be braught in after the deal is done. don't expect superstar players but we should get goodwillie, wilson bk on loan, gomis, another cb and midfielder as we are fine up front with jelevic bettie lafferty naismith and goodwille at end of jan wae miller staying till end of contract. also loyds/hbos/tossers can go take a fck to there self.

What's your source of information? Seems a load of s* te to me and probably everyone else who read it. Do you ever actually listen to any official club statements? Walter has came out in the press to criticise the bank, with no mention of a timescale of the takeover. Lets just hope the bank don't declare us bankrupt after losing patience with us, it happened across the city and in the current financial climate could easily happen to us. Why can't Whyte and Ellis gaurentee a loan from the bank for us if they are so close to the deal being finalised. Loan doesn't need to be from Lloyds, Rangers can apply to any bank for a loan, with Whyte as a gauranteer. Defo something fishy about the whole thing and IMO Walter can't wait for the season to be over to get out of Ibrox

there has been mention of a timescale it was on bbc website yesterday and it read that whyte hopes to conclude the deal by the end of the month. previous to that it has been mentioned between a few ppl that arent usaly wrong that the deal would be done for the 25th at the latest then that story comes out a cpl of days later on bbc website that he is just waiting on murray getting back to him. so im starting to belaeve these 2 ppl. we all know smith was in the paper going of his head at the bank and quite rightly so. but there is alot of money going into ibrox but there is no sing of to whare it is going because the debt aint comeing down as much as the money going in would suggest and whyte wants to know whare it is going before he makes any sort of money available. hear is a wee breakdown of what sort of money i am talking about i got this from a fellow fan who posted it on another website.

All from June 2010
Turnover - £56, 287,000, last year - £39, 704,000
Profit - £4, 209,000, last year - -£14, 085,000

These are big upturns
. .
Interest paid to bank - £1, 260,000
Wages and salaries - £23, 667,000
Total Assets less Cur. Liabilities - £108, 704,000

Now, as you are saying about the overdraft, this comes under current liabilities. .
Trade Creditors - £2, 231,000
Bank Overdrafts - £4, 695,000
Short Term Loans - £5, 554,000

Long Term Liabilities
Long Term Debt - £21, 868,000
Other Long Term Loans - £18,000,000

So, the "overdraft" portion of our debt is around £10 million in total. That is not bad, certainly not when you compare everything else. The fact everything else is long term, means, in a sense, that its agreed, much like a mortgage, and, will reduce in time, and, should not affect things at all.

Now, here is the REALLY interesting bit. Our solvency ratio. For those who don't know, heres a wee overview. .

"One of many ratios used to measure a company's ability to meet long-term obligations. The solvency ratio measures the size of a company's after-tax income, excluding non-cash depreciation expenses, as compared to the firm's total debt obligations. It provides a measurement of how likely a company will be to continue meeting its debt obligations

Acceptable solvency ratios will vary from industry to industry, but as a general rule of thumb, a solvency ratio of greater than 20% is considered financially healthy. Generally speaking, the lower a company's solvency ratio, the greater the probability that the company will default on its debt obligations."

So, over 20 is good? Rangers current ratio is. . 51.93

How about our credit score? By the way, 0 is high risk up to 100, which is pretty much no risk.

well. . again. .

Current Qui score? 94 Secure

Last years? 91 Secure

QuiRating? - 674, 850

How about

HISTORICAL CREDIT SCORE (reading left to right, going back to 2007)

QuiScore 94 91 94 90
Comment Secure Secure Secure Secure
QuiRating (GBP) 674, 850 757, 405 999, 999 754, 605

We are NOT "crippled by debt", we are NOT skint, we are NOT an organisation that banks would be unwilling to extend credit to, in fact, we are the type of organisation that would get credit facilities regardless.

Figures don't lie. There is something going on here which is not being explained! The only people who can, are Murray and the bank!

what you think bout these figures do you think there is something dodgy going on? hence why whyte and ellis havent took over yet but when they get there answers from murray then the deal will go ahead but whyte wants it done by last week of this month so he can give walter the money he so badly needs.

What good will that do? its not the banks fault we are in this mess, Rangers fans have become reliant on David Murray stepping forward from time to time reassure the supporters that he is on top of it. Not now though! After Dick Advocaat was kicked into touch by Martin O'Neil's arrival at Celtic, Rangers were left in a financial mess which new manager Alex McLeish had to some how manage. Big Eck did a stellar job while the truth of Rangers bleak accounts were being exposed for all to see. David Murray decided it was time for a share issue in which to raise funds to clear £70 million worth of debts. He raised a tenth of that from supporters, so put up the rest. It is believed that this money came from Murray International Holdings. A company which has recently seen debts amounting to a staggering £750 million and loans in the £450 million bracket. .

To the person who posted that kenny miller was going for 2 million is an idiot he is away for 650 thousand nobody wants to come to us cause of the crap wages we are paying. goodwillie won't come thompson says he won't go for any less than 1.5 million and the bank won't allow it so fellow gers the league is gone

And tell me how is the league gone? I wouldn't call you a fellow gers fan if your so quick to give up on your team. The league is no where near gone, what just because kenny miller might be leaving, get a grip. We still have jelavic and naismith, lafferty, beattie and also andrew little who I think shows great promise, aswell as the chance goodwillie coming in since dundee utd may accept a bid if andy webster is thrown in or they add the money they get from kenny miller. so don't say the league is gone simply because one player is leaving, I Seem to recall people saying the exact same thing when kris boyd left and look at how well we are playing so don't be so quick to jump to conclusions.
